I recently went to Paint this Saturday with a friend who is a frequent patron. I had a set of gel nails done, and I found the service super friendly and straightforward. We were seen immediately given our appointment time which we booked easily online. My friend was also able to book by phone, and they added her appointment to mine seamlessly. The interior here seems both chic and well-organized. In addition to both regular and gel polishes, I'm pretty sure they do overlays and acrylics here. We were asked to pick out our colors, and we were seated with our nail techs. They have some really great diagrams to help you pick a nail shape, and the nail tech always asks if you need a nail trim first or if you just want them filed. I really appreciated how, with gel, they do several coats of base, color, and a top coat. I found my tech extremely detail-oriented, carefully checking each nail for dust, stray hairs, and any imperfections with a brush dipped in acetone between sessions in the UV lamp. The gel set I received was incredibly fast - probably 20 minutes max with shaping. I imagine it may be 10 minutes longer if you needed gel removal. Payment was straightforward at the front desk considering my information was in the system from booking online. Great experience with friendly service. read more

I found this place because I was looking for a salon that does Gel X. I have found lately not that many salons offer it in Nashville so I found Paint from a search which typically I try places based off referrals. Well my search turned into gold. Paint is a non toxic no fumes salon how can you not love that! Walking in the place is aesthetically pleasing. Not only is Paint a nail bar they always have the cutest items for sale for example I got a Real Housewives of Nashville cup. I am a member of the loyalty program and I gave out gift certificates as Christmas gifts. Alexis M is my go to girl for my nails. She's super sweet and she always understands the assignment. I can tell that Alexis cares about the health of my nails. I broke like 3 of my natural nails while on vacation and she presented me an option that I was able to save and nails and grow out where the breaks happened. The breaks happened like in the middle of my nails. This is also a great salon for designs if you check out their instagram you'll see them show casing their great nail artists. I usually get a mimosas with my manicures however they offer the tastiest hot teas. read more

I have been going to PAINT Nail Bar in Green Hills since they opened. Sheaka has been my nail tech for almost 3 years. From the time I walk in the door, to my nail service, to checking out, I always receive exceptional customer service. I typically book a gel mani with gel removal. From neutral shades to bold colors and designs, Sheaka ensures that my manicure and polish is perfect. She knows my nails, and goes above and beyond to take care of them. My gel polish lasts for 3 weeks with no chipping. My pedicure services have also been amazing! I love that it is a toxic free environment. I love Madam Glam and also love the new polish they have introduced, Emma. I also like the Dazzle Dry regular nail polish when I am taking a break from gel polish. It lasts up to 14 days. I highly recommend PAINT! It's my go to place to take family and friends when they visit Nashville. read more

I'm faithful to getting manicures and back home I had a nail artist for 8 years who used CND Shellac, which is a formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP free polish brand. So, when moving to the area I was trying to find something similar to what I was used to back home; waterless mani, with toxic free gel that lasts, and a gentle removal process that doesn't destroy my nails leaving them paper thin. What first led me to PAINT, was their prices for toxic free gel are more within my budget. My gel manicure was $45, and this is with or without removal. Comparable nail salons to them charge about $60-$75 or more depending if you need gel removal. Their gel brands are Bio Seaweed & Madam Glam. I chose Madam Glam for my manicure and Zoya as regular polish for my pedicure. Though I've never used any of these brands before, their color selection is on point. The salon is definitely newer, clean, bright and airy. I also had a great first impression with regards to customer service when checking in at the front counter. My nail technician was sweet but a little too rough on my cuticles. Also, their gel removal process is not as gentle as what I'm used to and my gel only lasted 11 days before it chipped and I can usually go 21 days without chipping. For these reasons, PAINT was not for me. read more

I enjoyed my experience there. The staff was very friendly and I tried the dazzle dry polish that was recommended and told it would last like gel paint. However considering I got my toes painted last Friday and already it is coming off leaves me very dissatisfied because I have never had a pedicure last such a short time. For what I paid this is very disheartening. read more

I requested that management contact me and relayed all of these concerns to the assistant manager when I checked out- and provided this information when I received a "rate my experience" text message, but it's been 4 days and I haven't had a word- so I hate to do this, but I need to share my experience. I have visited this location many times and always book the same service, the "talk of the town" luxe pedicure. When I arrived, I was told to pick a polish and sit at the second station. There was only one other customer, at the first station (about 2' from the second station). No other customers showed up during my service and the other customer remained sitting less than 2' from me for about 30 minutes before leaving. Zero social distancing, VERY disappointing and uncomfortable. I noticed a bit into my service not only that my technician never changed gloves after her last service, but I'm also fairly sure she used the same tools from the client she finished next to me. In the middle of my service, while she had a hot towel on my legs, she rolled over and sprayed/wiped down the other station and collected the old towels. I had to ask her to switch gloves after she did so. Further, my service did not include many of the treatments in the description- no scrub, no foot peel, no wax and my service lasted just over 30 minutes (it's described as being a 1 hour service). I can get past the lackluster service ($80+ with gratuity for a pedicure), but I left feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. I have them a chance to reach out to me and described my concerns to the manager on duty, but they have decided not to. I will not return, nor do I recommend it to anyone- especially during covid. read more

PAINT Nail Bar - This is where I was asked to sit, immediately next to a stranger with no social distancing. - Nail Salons Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

This place is the absolute worst. I've never had such awful manicures in my life. Even worse than the service is the CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are rude, disrespectful, and hateful. Tristin told me how awful my manicure was then downright lied to management about having ever said that. They even refused to issue a full refund for the horrendous manicure pictured here (it's the worst job I've EVER seen) I went across the street to the nail bar to have it fixed and they said people come in from Paint all the time with horrendous manicure jobs. Avoid this place, and avoid these ppl! read more

I had a bit of a rough experience here I'm afraid! The folks working behind the desk were so kind and offered me a drink multiple times. It was a fun environment! I had gel on my nails coming in and the technician only soaked them for like 5 minutes--all the gel was still really attached and so they started scraping and filing at my nails with a nail file (like you would use to shape edges). They put on gel, which lasted a week (they did say they would replace any chips within 10 days, but I was scared to go back after the treatment of my nails). The intense filing left my nails pitted and super uneven. I tried to buff some of it out myself, but they're very thin in places where the technician filed them so much. I think I'm just going to have to let the damage grow out. This was a fun atmosphere, but not somewhere I'll return. read more

PAINT Nail Bar - Unevenness of nails after a technician scraped off an old gel manicure - Nail Salons Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

I love the fact that the products are natural and the space is pretty and airy. However, we had a large party with reservations and it seemed like they were clueless as to what was happening. I also heard a technician gossip about her customer which is just poor taste. Additionally, I didn't receive my full service since my technician forgot to do a portion of it and she didn't go back and do it or adjust the price. Just a rough experience overall. UPDATE: I received a phone call from Caitlin apologizing but on the call we discussed a couple places we were overcharged and I was told I would receive a call back and a refund. That was weeks ago, no word. Save yourself the headache. read more

I had a mani/pedi at PAINT today, and I had a great experience! PAINT focuses on healthy and eco-friendly options for nails - including non-toxic polish lines (no drills, dip, etc.), no whirlpool pedicure bowls (if you don't know why these aren't great, you might not want to know - yuck), and more. You can make your appointment online easily - I love that. I made an appointment for 2pm on a Saturday and was seen on time! Two different technicians helped me with my mani and my pedi - they were both lovely, as was the staff member who signed me and welcomed me. As far as COVID changes, they require masks of clients; staff wore masks and gloves; they require that you wash your hands when you enter; there are plexiglass partitions between you and the nail technician and between you and the person seated at the next seat when seated at a manicure station; there are plexiglass partitions between you and the person seated next to you at a pedicure station; and they have contactless payment (I provided my credit card information when I made my appointment) and they charged it when my mani/pedi was complete. It's definitely not a large salon, but it probably had 6-8 manicure stations and 6-8 pedicure stations. Since it's on the smaller side, I definitely recommend making a reservation before you go. Something important that I didn't see reflected in previous Yelp reviews: PAINT is located on the second floor of a multi-business, multi-floor building located at 3990 Hillsboro Pike. (If you've ever been to Santo or Char or True Food Kitchen or CorePower Yoga, you've been in the building before.) You can park in the underground parking garage and take the elevator up to the second floor from there. My nails look great, and it was a good experience overall. I'd go back! read more

I have been coming to paint for over two years, and it is my favorite nail salon in Nashville. Parking is easy to find in the underground garage, the atmosphere and energy in the salon is welcoming, and the salon is extremely clean. I love using the Dazzle Dry polish because it dries within 10 minutes and lasts longer than regular polish. Even though this salon is pricier than others in the area, I feel it is totally worth it! Highly recommend! read more

THE WORST pedi of my life and I am 43 years old. We can make a mistake, but to tell a customer that they are wrong - that's a lack of basic service and honesty. To charge wrong! To not allow to speak to owner. You should not be in business if you are a business. don't waste your time or money!!!! read more

This was the worst manicure I've ever gotten. I got my nails done 5 hours ago and they are already chipping and peeling. There are air bubbles under the top coat as well. The techs were extremely rude to us. We were 5 mins late to the appointment, and tech told us "I don't have time for that" when we showed them the designs we wanted. I didn't even get lotion at the end of my service. The tech just got up and left. Definitely never coming back. read more

Been here now a few times, gave it enough chances. Service at the salon was fine, but at checkout they like to ask you if you would like to leave a 20% tip, which I find a little distasteful. I guess that's what they expect there, but I normally only do 10% on beauty unless it's exceptional. My biggest complaint is that this salon has super limited availability. They will only see you by appointment, and be prepared for weekday appointment availability only. I've tried several times to get evening and weekend appointments, but they never have any. Forget it if you need a last minute repair. Two of my bioseaweed gel nails just snapped off and they couldn't work me in. To pay a premium and the product doesn't last longer or even as long as regular gel treatments is very disappointing. Not sure what's up with this place, but I will not return. read more

Absolutely love this place! I've been going to Sheaka since Paint opened and have had the privilege to get to know both her and the owner Kailtyn! I love that the formula is nontoxic (as I was pregnant this past year and didn't want to be around too many chemicals) and my madam glam nails consistently last 4 weeks with no chips or breakage. My nails are so strong because of Sheaka and I always look forward to relaxing in Paint's clean and new environment! read more

Should be zero stars! My 9 month old could do a better job painting my nails. There's paint all over the underside and sides of my fingers, plus all of the skin around my nails is covered. The "manicure" was essentially a polish change. Absolutely horrendous. To top it all off, the technicians were complaining about other clients the whole time. They also blamed the poor paint job on me--my nail shape, my ridges. Please spend your money and time elsewhere. read more

Really enjoy the atmosphere and technicians. It's a little inconvenient location but plenty of parking in the garage. .

Went in and the place was empty, all the girls were behind the counter talking, they asked if I had a reservation and I said no. A girl said rudely, we don't have any openings till 2 (3 hours later) and then turned away from me and continued talking. Went down the street to Venetian Nails and they got me in no problem! It's just a little ridiculous.. clearly the place was empty. Oh well! Plenty of places around to go to so I wouldn't recommend a bunch of snooty girls who just don't want to work. read more

I had wanted to go to this nail salon for 2 years since I have moved away from Nashville, and was super excited to finally come in! I knew to ask specifically for gel removal and nail art, since I saw online that those were separate bookings. However, when I arrived the reservation was incorrect, just for a plain color. I would have just gone to my regular spot for that. Additionally, the nail artist could not figure out how to get my thumb nail to cure. She tried it 4 times, then said it was the best she could do. The receptionist did offer profusely to fix it, but at that point we had been there for over 1.5 hours and I wasn't going to waste more time of my holiday weekend (also considering I didn't have a lot of confidence these ladies would be able to make it happen just due to my experience thus far). Overall, the location was cute and the colors to choose from were fun but I would definitely not recommend this spot to others. At a bare minimum, you should be able to trust them with getting the gel to cure properly on the first 1-2 attempts. read more

Just got my third or fourth manicure at PAINT last week. They are the only salon in Nashville to use the Dazzle Dry system, and it is AWESOME. It dries in 5 - 10 minutes (all the way dry), stays on like gel (so far I'm 7 days in with no chipping), but comes off with normal nail polish remover (the last time, I removed it at home), which means it doesn't scrape off my enamel like gel does. As someone who doesn't have time to wait for my nails to dry but hates the damage from gel, this is a game changer. The boutique itself is very nice--clean, tech was professional, manager was friendly. Picked up a cute barrette as well for an added bonus. Will definitely be getting my manicures here from now on. read more

Got a pedicure at 4 pm and allowed to dry all night. Wore close toed shoes to work the following day and pedicure completely ruined. The paint smudged and buckled across entire toe(s) as if it were still wet. I have never had this happen in all my years of getting mani/pedi. Love the idea of toxin free polish, but absolute waste of $45. read more
