Birthday Nails by Sheaka Madam Glam polish used
    Whitney J.

I have been going to PAINT Nail Bar in Green Hills since they opened. Sheaka has been my nail tech for almost 3 years. From the time I walk in the door, to my nail service, to checking out, I always receive exceptional customer service. I typically book a gel mani with gel removal. From neutral shades to bold colors and designs, Sheaka ensures that my manicure and polish is perfect. She knows my nails, and goes above and beyond to take care of them. My gel polish lasts for 3 weeks with no chipping. My pedicure services have also been amazing! I love that it is a toxic free environment. I love Madam Glam and also love the new polish they have introduced, Emma. I also like the Dazzle Dry regular nail polish when I am taking a break from gel polish. It lasts up to 14 days. I highly recommend PAINT! It's my go to place to take family and friends when they visit Nashville.

I'm faithful to getting manicures and back home I had a nail artist for 8 years who used CND Shellac, which is a formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP free polish brand. So, when moving to the area I was trying to find something similar to what I was used to back home; waterless mani, with toxic free gel that lasts, and a gentle removal process that doesn't destroy my nails leaving them paper thin. What first led me to PAINT, was their prices for toxic free gel are more within my budget. My gel manicure was $45, and this is with or without removal. Comparable nail salons to them charge about $60-$75 or more depending if you need gel removal. Their gel brands are Bio Seaweed & Madam Glam. I chose Madam Glam for my manicure and Zoya as regular polish for my pedicure. Though I've never used any of these brands before, their color selection is on point. The salon is definitely newer, clean, bright and airy. I also had a great first impression with regards to customer service when checking in at the front counter. My nail technician was sweet but a little too rough on my cuticles. Also, their gel removal process is not as gentle as what I'm used to and my gel only lasted 11 days before it chipped and I can usually go 21 days without chipping. For these reasons, PAINT was not for me.

I enjoyed my experience there. The staff was very friendly and I tried the dazzle dry polish that was recommended and told it would last like gel paint. However considering I got my toes painted last Friday and already it is coming off leaves me very dissatisfied because I have never had a pedicure last such a short time. For what I paid this is very disheartening.

This is where I was asked to sit, immediately next to a stranger with no social distancing.

I requested that management contact me and relayed all of these concerns to the assistant manager when I checked out- and provided this information when I received a "rate my experience" text message, but it's been 4 days and I haven't had a word- so I hate to do this, but I need to share my experience. I have visited this location many times and always book the same service, the "talk of the town" luxe pedicure. When I arrived, I was told to pick a polish and sit at the second station. There was only one other customer, at the first station (about 2' from the second station). No other customers showed up during my service and the other customer remained sitting less than 2' from me for about 30 minutes before leaving. Zero social distancing, VERY disappointing and uncomfortable. I noticed a bit into my service not only that my technician never changed gloves after her last service, but I'm also fairly sure she used the same tools from the client she finished next to me. In the middle of my service, while she had a hot towel on my legs, she rolled over and sprayed/wiped down the other station and collected the old towels. I had to ask her to switch gloves after she did so. Further, my service did not include many of the treatments in the description- no scrub, no foot peel, no wax and my service lasted just over 30 minutes (it's described as being a 1 hour service). I can get past the lackluster service ($80+ with gratuity for a pedicure), but I left feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. I have them a chance to reach out to me and described my concerns to the manager on duty, but they have decided not to. I will not return, nor do I recommend it to anyone- especially during covid.

This place is the absolute worst. I've never had such awful manicures in my life. Even worse than the service is the CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are rude, disrespectful, and hateful. Tristin told me how awful my manicure was then downright lied to management about having ever said that. They even refused to issue a full refund for the horrendous manicure pictured here (it's the worst job I've EVER seen) I went across the street to the nail bar to have it fixed and they said people come in from Paint all the time with horrendous manicure jobs. Avoid this place, and avoid these ppl!

Really enjoy the atmosphere and technicians. It's a little inconvenient location but plenty of parking in the garage. .

I don't usually get nail art, but for a summer treat, I chose some fruit designs from their Instagram. I easily made an appointment through Instagram DMs and spoke in advance about their fruit nail art. The guy doing my nails was definitely not as comfortable (described himself as unconfident) in nail art, so I was surprised he was assigned to my appointment. Don't get me wrong, they turned out super cute, but I feel like there was a disconnect between the employee making my appointment and the technician which could've made the process more smooth (for him and me) and more similar to the online photos. All of the employees were kind and made sure I was comfortable in my chair, dialed in my shade of red, and provided complementary water. The other customers in the salon were clearly repeat customers who love their nail technicians and sing DIP's praises. Jayden is possibly the owner or at least a top dog at the salon who was busy as a nail tech and helped when the cashier had issues. I got gel removal and gel color change with 4 nail art designs for $55, before tax and tip. I'll definitely be back! (They don't do henna, I just already had it from a Yelp Nashville event.)

I recall spying out of the corner of my eye a shopping center that wasn't a mall. But, being that I shy away from shopping as a rule, it was unlikely that I would stop at a place not connected to other places so as to make any shopping I *had* to do efficient and time effective. So, no stops at the place I sorta paid attention to for [redacted] years. Is that clear? But then a time came when my reluctance to shop was paired with my refusal to be around people and my need to buy presents. You keeping up with all this? I know it's a lot. So, factors in place, I needed options. It was then that I sorta remembered this place in Green Hills that *might* have some things I could use/buy/ship and I got to searching the interwebs to make sure of it. I was in the market for fancy lotion. I knew I was in the right place because the 'lotion' was called 'moisturizer.' I really got the hint when I saw the price point. This isn't Jergens, folks. Thankfully, in addition to a picture and price point, the inventory came with copy. I could read flowery language that made me feel good about the purchase I was to make. I mean that sincerely. If you're going to drop coin on a luxury, you should know what you're getting. I felt as though I was reasonably informed enough to know what I was getting. I picked the product, ordered, paid, had it shipped, and tracked the shipping like a hawk. I was determined not to let this magic cream fall victim to a porch pirate. It arrived. It was opened. It was oohed and ahhed. It was worth the money. *I would never do that...
