Depends on who does your nails. Sometimes it's good and others it is not. Usually you can get in and out which I prefer

Very sad about the recent changes here. I was hoping the new owners would continue the great service this salon had had for years.. but their customer service is so cold now. Whoever bought the salon doesn't understood buying a business doesn't make you great. Truly treating your customers with care and respect is what builds clientele and brings people back. The family feel and customer service is gone here. So bummed :( Just another salon trying to crank out appointments as fast as possible now. read more

I wanted to give a 5 star but after spending $150 between my toes and my nails the pedicure was subpar and then not even 24 hours later my GEL polish is already chipped. I walked out absolutely in LOVE with my nails. They did a famtastic job on the shape and design I wanted. I just expected my polish NOT to chip so soon! Edit: after 1 weeks my nails already began to lift. After spending that much money I am quite disappointed to say the least! read more

Wow, Natalie is one of the best nail techs I've sat with in a reallllllly long time. I just moved to Nashville and have been going to a salon down the street but got tired of the half assed nail jobs, 45 min wait with an appointment and rushing through my service (I get tips with dip). Excursion is the complete opposite!! I've gone to Natalie the last two times and not only is she super friendly but she is on time for appointments, professional, and super SUPER detailed with her work. I am picky as hell and Natalie exceeded my expectation. My nails were all uniform, straight and even, the polish completely filled my nail - even the edges, no polish on my skin, she even buzzed down the bottom tips of the nails so that they were smooth. Wow. Thank you, Natalie! You're my go to for as long as I'm in Nashville. read more

My shape is perfect, length is perfect, and designs are INCREDIBLE. I could not recommend this place enough!!!! They have a customer for life! I really enjoyed coming to this salon! It's in Bellevue so it's away from some of the traffic of Green Hills, which is where a lot of past salons I've tried are at. The salon is extremely clean and I got a full hour long pedicure for 45! I thought the pedicure was amazing. It was super relaxing and my polish looked great at the end. The chairs are nice and look relatively new. Everything was sanitary and clean, which I always look for in my pedicures. They have a decent color selection and the entire staff were very friendly to me. I just walked in on a Friday afternoon and they saw me right away - no wait. I enjoyed my service and I would recommend this salon to anyone in the West Nashville/Bellevue area. Heck even if you don't live over here, it's worth the drive out here to give it a try. I didn't feel rushed at all and it's a very peaceful environment inside. All in all, it was a great experience and I will certainly come back. - - I'm also coming to update my review because I got an acrylic fill here and Nicki was amazing. She did my nails perfectly and I love them so much. She took her time and made sure they were perfect and I'm extremely picky about my nails. I love them!! read more

Excursion Nail Spa is a small nail salon in a shopping center off of Highway 100 by the Corner Pub. The salon is nicely decorated and it is definitely more elegant than the average nail place. I called about 30 minutes before I planned to come in on a weeknight after work for a gel manicure ($35) and a basic pedicure ($30) to make sure that I could have quick service. When I arrived they got me situated right away. I had the same lady do my pedicure as my manicure so I can say she was very professional and I felt like I got good service. My gel manicure is looking good and intact a week later. They told me they have something called dip nail polish which is even more longlasting and better for your nails than the regular gel that they use but I opted not to go for it since it was more expensive. However, since my polish still looks good I am happy with going with the regular gel manicure. The pedicure felt great and they use a nice sugar scrub even with the basic pedicure. I will always pay a bit more to have a really good experience and this is no exception. I was assisted promptly, they did the job well, the service was good and the spa is lovely. read more

Finally a decent nail salon. I was NOT used to having a poor experience so when I moved to TN I just about gave up on ever having my nails done. Yelp did not fail on recommending this salon and I'm so glad I went. I started going to Natalie to get dip nails and not only is she so particular in making sure my nails are done well, but whatever she does makes them last forever. In the past I would have to go every 2 weeks with cracks and peels. With her my nails are still going strong a month in! If it wasn't for them being over grown, I could probably go longer. Highly recommend making an appointment over walk-ins read more

Leah was incredible and a miracle worker for my curved, ingrown toenails! I live bout a half hour away but it's worth the drive.

This was by far the WORST experience I have had in a nail salon. I had gel nails that needed removed and got a gel manicure as well--I tried Excursion since it was a Sunday, and my regular salon was closed. The technician used ONLY the drill (no soaking) to remove my gel polish and I have almost no nail bed left. My nails look terrible, and it will take weeks to grow out. She attempted to paint over them, and it was uneven. This fiasco only took about 20 minutes and cost $55. My sister had a similar experience. Never again! Back to Sunlight Nails! read more

Wonderful experience! Lynn, Natalie and Nicky were wonderful. My daughter has cerebral palsy and other salons have refused to give her a manicure but these women went above and beyond accommodating for her disability. Couldn't recommend them higher!!!! read more

I came here for the chrome dip nails and I came back for the consistency. I might be wrong, but this may be the only nail salon nearby that does chrome dip nails, according to a recommendation from a Facebook group about Bellevue. I was impressed with the selection, the nail technician allowing me to sample the varieties on each nail before letting me decide, and how long it lasted. It is very pricey, but very well worth the price. I used to not go here if I wanted a plain dip nail set because of the price. However, I'd realize that I'm paying for the consistency in quality. I don't have a certain nail technician I go to because they all deliver the same service; my nails can last at least a month without breaking or chipping, even though the nail technicians kindly remind me I shouldn't be waiting that long in between appointments. :) The nail technicians are the friendliest I've ever encountered at a nail salon. Everyone remembers my name even though I come in less than once a month. They're even trying to order a specific chrome dip nail powder I've been wanting for so long! I like my trips to the nail salon to be quiet, so they're not chatty with me, but they can be chatty if you like to talk to your nail technician. read more

They consistently do a great job. Everyone is kind and welcoming. Everything is clean and the employees are professional.

I have been to a few nail spas in the area, this one is by far the cleanest and the best! I love my dip manicure! They also got me in quickly and on short notice. read more

Went in just to get dip removed and waited for about 10-15 min to which three different employees ended up working on me because the first two left in the middle of my service to work on people who walked in without appointments... not the best experience and will likely not be back read more

I love excursion. I have gone and gotten a full set and the dip powder on my natural nails. I have loved both outcomes. Natalie is who I always request to see. So, things have changed a lot since my last review of Excursion. I have been going to Excursion for a few months now to get the dip gels for my nails and they are amazing. All of the girls here do a fantastic job. I get my nails done about once every 3 weeks and my manicure is pretty much perfect until then. The salon is always clean and they have a huge assortment of colors, plus they get new ones in seasonally. They may be a tiny bit more expensive than some of the other nail spas in the area, but it is absolutely worth it. The manicures last and are very well done. Highly recommend! read more

After moving recently I needed a new nail salon and after reading great reviews for Excursion I was excited to try it. I called, made an appointment and really wanted to love the experience I arrived for my appointment and they seemed surprised that there was another appointment booked at the time. After 2 techs talking back and forth one young lady started wrapping my nails to soak. She seemed nervous and uncomfortable, but did a good job removing the dip powder and reapplying. Then another tech had to shape my and file my nails. Overall it was an ok experience, but I would have preferred one person ..side note- one minor detail is that neither tech asked me to wash my hands at any point so there was a lot of powder residue left and no cuticle oil was used. It just felt rushed and that they were more concerned with other customers. read more

I love this place! I've been to multiple places around Nashville. This nail spa is very clean and I loved my nail tech. We bonded over our love for Whitney Houston! Lol The pricing is pretty average for a good pedicure and full set. Overall nice workers and great environment. I will definitely be back to get my nails done with Trina! read more

This has become my go-to spot for mani / pedi's. I have been 4 times and usually get one or the other. My last trip was on a Sunday afternoon for a mani. When I walked in, my heart sank as there were 4 people ahead of me--including 2 tweens choosing their glitter polish. I chose to sign in and wait it out. I started to become frustrated after 15 min. but one of the staff came to get the 2 girls and said it would only be a few more minutes. I only had about an hour as I'd left my 16-month old with a babysitter! Waaaah! I ended up waiting a total of 25 minutes for a 15-20 min service. It was worth it. The staff member who did mine was efficient, kind, and competent. I found myself wishing I had time for a pedi, too! The atmosphere at Excursion is nicer than most strip mall salons--there's a little waterfall, warm, earth tones, and several TV's with volumes set to low. They also offer bottled water or wine. (It would be nice if they gave it to you while you were waiting!) It doesn't have the awful chemical smell that others have either. I paid $15 plus tip for the mani. A pedi is $30. If you do both, it's $40. I left there happy with my nails which are just barely beginning to chip 4 days later. read more

They do a great job. They're kind and Considerate and a nice atmosphere. You don't feel rushed. Relaxing!

This is a review for dip gel manicure and a pedicure. I found this place on yelp on a Sunday I called and made a reservation for an appointment in advance. When I arrived I had to wait almost half an hour past my appointment time for someone even to have me come sit down at a booth. Then I had my dip gel manicure and it was my first dip gel but it was fine. It was getting close to closing time so in order to fit my pedicure in the lady who is doing my manicure had me go over to the pedicure station and start that and she finished my manicure at the pedicure seat. Which I felt was a little rude and rushed and not relaxing for my pedicure. Pedicure was the basic pedicure because of that. I just want to get out of there and I really need a pedicure and it was fine although about three weeks later it was completely messed up so didn't really hold up long-term but that's fine. Now the dip gel manicure held up so well that after three weeks I couldn't peel it off myself and my nails look after absolutely crazy as the as they grew so I had to literally go and have someone remove them from the salon because it was so hard on my nail. At the end of the day I paid almost $100 for both the manicure and a pedicure and and tip and it didn't really feel like $100 experience. This place was fine but I won't be back. read more

Excursion Nail Spa - Lots of gel colors - Nail Salons Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

My favorite place for a pedicure. It's always so relaxing and the staff gives the best massages.

My nails always look amazing when I leave here. I am very specific and always let them know exactly how I want it or if I see anything I don't like I always let them know and they fix it perfectly! Best salon read more

My sister and I went to Excursions Nail Spa and decided to get shellac polish changes instead of manicures since we were on a time crunch and a budget. The experience was one of the worst we've ever had. Not only was the job not completed, but we were overcharged. When we questioned the charge, the manager was beyond rude, insulting, and basically told us it was our problem. There were a few other dissatisfied customers as well and they were ignored too. There are so many salons that are in the area that I know for a fact are honest people, do a good job, and genuinely appreciate people's business. I will never go back. read more

Oh my gosh! I've never been treated so rudely by a manager of a salon before, but that's just what happened when I brought an over-charge error to the attention of Rebecca, the manager of Excursion Nail Spa. They overcharged me $100 for a mani/pedi. When I caught the mistake, I brought it to manager Rebecca's attention. She not only refused to believe me, she actually blamed the mistake on me in the most discourteous, shameful of ways. I was embarrassed beyond belief. All of this attitude and trouble for a sub-par mani/pedi. So grateful to be able to at least share my experience with others to prevent someone else from being taken advantage of in this way! Even though I am new to the neighborhood, I will go out of my way to return to Serenity Nail on West End. They are true, courteous, respectful professionals who stand by their work and appreciate their clients. read more

got a gel mani and pedi and it was THE ABSOLUTE WORST i have ever had. if i could give zero stars i would. they have horrible service-they rush through everything, they are unprofessional, and they talk on their phones while giving my manicure. i realized when i was paying that i had polish all over my fingers and my cuticles looked like they hadn't been touched. my heels and toes were still crusty. i will never step foot in the place again. read more

I absolutely love this nail salon. I got about every 2.5 weeks for a gel manicure and Becca does a great job every time. Not to mention I get my eyebrows done there and they do a fantastic job. It's a little bit pricey but definitely worth it! read more

They treated me like a friend, not a customer. Professionalism in a friendly manor is hard to find in a nail salon these days. I loved my holographic nails and they only charged $15. Granted, I did get acrylics and gel on top so the total wasn't just $15. I highly recommend. read more

Thanks Natalie for making this my favorite west Nashville nail salon. This nail technician does beautiful work. Natalie is thorough and provides great attention to detail. I have visited three other nail salons in the Franklin area, I've not been pleased. This was my first visit to excursion, and it was quite nice. I did not know that I could have had wine, bummer! ;-) I will be going back. I'll update if circumstances change. read more

Excellent service and attention to detail. Marissa did and excellent job. This is my go to nail salon!

My first two times at Excusion were fantastic due to a nail tech named Huoung. When I scheduled the last appointment the nail tech spoke very little English, it was not very pleasant. Also, the acrylic solution for the nails was watered down and resulted in a rash on my hands. The manager of the nail salon has a very bad attitude and this was my last time at this nail salon. They advertise using new products and new nail files for every client, this was not what I experienced at all. Beware! read more
