She understood the problem and helped me over the video call to isolate the problem, helped shut down water supply to dishwasher, stop the water damage and turn off water supply for rest of the house. She also looked up schedule and helped me plan inspection of outside sewer etc I highly recommend her and am grateful for her help to prevent water damage in my house. He wasted time by having me watch a video of their process, and attempted to get me to agree to a proposal the day of - estimates running in the $15k-$50k ranges. Their estimates came in higher than their competitors by about $5k including Groundworks. When I informed him that I would not be using their services, he replied with, "What are your plans for your sagging floors? How do you plan to address this?" I have met with many contractors on this same issue, and no one else aside from Groundworks and TerraFirma has attempted to blow our issues out of proportion. However, Noah did offer to do a side by side comparison of the other offers with his, which I did not take. I ungraciously assumed it wouldn't have been attempt to price match, but to take another opportunity to push me more on his proposals. Don't use them, if you want to avoid fear mongering and overpriced services.

There was an issue of a damaged internet line but they worked closely with the ISP firm to insure the line was replaced the very same day by waiting on Ziply and helping them install the new line. Two months later they came back and changed out 3 grated clean out covers with ones that have filtering screening on them to address insects hatching out of the clean outs. Had a large, obtrusive puddle forming in my driveway every time it rained, which would stay there…read morefor several days during the winter, and which was also blocking the pathway to my back door. Paul at Allied worked with me over the course of four months figuring out the best way to deal with the problem. The solution was a channel drain that would lead to my existing gutter drainage system. Because of the topography of my existing driveway, I assumed that there would still be a fair amount of puddling even after the drain was installed and that I would just have to live with it. In the days just after the install however, it rained quite a bit, and the drain worked pretty much perfectly. The puddling has been reduced by about 95%, and the water that does collect is shallow enough to handle easily. After the rain stops, the remains evaporate after a few hours. The small lake that I used to have to walk around is gone. The guys who did the install were professional and very courteous and Paul was very knowledgeable and patient in response to my many, many questions and emails leading up to the install. Would definitely recommend Allied for any project, large or small.

After removing the concrete, replacing the rotted wood, he built us a small deck area which gives us larger lateral space as a door step compared to the small concrete step. A marked improvement over just the moisture fix and rot repair. This was a pretty significant job and our home is very unique in structure which created many challenges. As a homeowner invested in a major renovation project, I had some pedantic requirements and Jorge was empathetic to all of them. The work was permitted and passed inspection with king county.
