I love Pagano's hoagies! Every time I go back to Baltimore my friends insist I bring some down with me. Some even ask me to ship them down once in a while. The roast pork is pretty awesome too. My favorite hoagies in the Philadelphia area. The meats are as good as I have seen in the suburbs, with an especially large selection of prosciutto. All of the sandwiches are stuffed with the finest quality ingredients that you will find anywhere, and the service is outstanding. After a long day at work and wanting to bring my parents dinner, I stopped at Pagano's and ordered a few sandwiches for them. They were so good I decided to write a first time review. Every time since, I can bank on a great sandwich and think it's better than the last visit. They NEVER disappoint!! I would give them 6 stars if I could! The food is fantastic. We have been coming for years and won't order party food anywhere else. Last night we ordered a hoagie tray, pan of chicken fingers and stromboli. Everything was fresh, homemade, and made with the best ingredients. Everyone at the party was full, happy and satisfied! I went to Paganos for first time due to all the high reviews. I'll start with the positives. All the staff were very friendly. My son was not feeling well and the sweet lady at the cash register recognized that. She said he looked tired and offered him a pretzel. I called my order in and it was ready when I arrived. Once I arrived, I added chicken salad to my order since it looked delicious and a customer told me it was very good. I also added a canolli to my order. Why did I do that? It was the best canolli I've ever had. Everyone was right about the meats being very fresh. I ordered a tuna hoagie, italian hoagie, and turkey hoagie. The negative is that the rolls were very hard. I am not sure if we got a bad batch or if this is the way the rolls are made. My son did not eat the roll, so I had to give him a tuna hoagie minus the roll. I am used to hoagies being on soft Amoroso rolls. If this is what you prefer, then Paganos is not the place to get your hoagies. I may try them one more time to see if the rolls are softer. The chicken salad was good, It has lots of mayo, maybe too much for some. Overall, good place with fresh meats and salads. If you like hard rolls, you'll love it. read more

Pagano's has the best hoagies around. We never go anywhere else for them. We used to go to a place in South Philly that has since closed and we were always looking for a place that could equal the ones we had there. Without a doubt the best hoagie in Delco, possibly the entire city. 49th street special is amazing from top to bottom. Starting with the roll, seeded "real" Italian bread, let's be real, amaroso's are living off an old reputation and they are are making glorified white bread anymore. They slice their meats paper thin to the point they just melt away in your mouth. Sharp provolone last but not least topped it off! Chicken cutlets are a revelation, any one of the cutlet sandwiches you cannot go wrong. Hot pork, whether they make it for you or you buy some to make at home they'll give you a pint of pork gravy for every pound you buy. No one else offers that. Without a doubt the best italian hoagie I have ever had in Pennsylvania. Having grown up at the Jersey shore, I have been looking for something that could come close to a White House Italian sub. Pagano's is it! This place is also a great little Italian market. Everyone is very friendly there. The only downside is their hours. I wish they were open everyday and a little later each day, especially Sundays. Some on Yelp have said it is on the expensive side for a hoagie. It is, but you are basically getting twice the hoagie. Hands-down BEST hoagies in Delaware County can be found at Pagano's!! Their Italian, Cutlet, and Veggie hoagies are incredible - very tasty, good size, and reasonably priced. My colleagues and I get hoagies from here all the time, despite the fact that our office is in the Main Line. Since I introduced them to Pagano's, they've never gone anywhere else for a hoagie. My family has been supporting Pagano's for years, and we won't go to any other deli for Italian lunch meat. They've got a terrific selection.
