The pita bread is good and the meat is lovingly cooked over the grill for all to see with a good spice blend. However, the tzatziki sauce is a bit bland and when the classic chicken pita said it came with chips I assumed that meant a side of them - not three rolled into the sandwich itself. The standouts of our meal were the calamari, which was fried nicely so as not to be squishy but also not too crusted with oil either, and the spanikopita which was flawless. Overall, I can't see going back here just for sides, and the sandwiches and salads are all overpriced. If you want a quick Greek snack though, this is the only place nearby, so it's good enough in a pinch. Service is friendly as others have mentioned, but there aren't many tables and the hostess seats you but doesn't take your order (no menus either, only on the board behind the register), which confused us and others in line. We went on a Monday afternoon and there was not much queue to speak of, but I also wouldn't wait in the massive line I've seen formed on Friday/Saturday nights.

We got there after 1pm and it was still a bit busy but there was 2 tables empty. We ordered: 1 x Spartan chicken (Oven roasted chicken with Aegean slaw, preserved lemon mayo, caramelised onions and parsley) 1 x Uncle 'Tzimmy' lamb (Signature slow cooked lamb with tomato, tzatziki, onion, paprika and chips) You get cutlery, serviettes etc and a table number, Food came out about 5 minutes later to you table which was great as we were both starving! The chicken was tasty and blended well with the coleslaw and the parsley gave it a fresh kick to it. The pita bread was thick and had a little grease to it but added to the flavour. I saw other customers ordering the fries with Feta & Oregano but we decided against getting them as we probably wouldn't be able to finish it. Plus, i wanted to get some sweet loukoumades to take away! :D Quick, Easy service with friendly staff to match.

Traditional Gyradiko has opened up in Rosebery!!!!…read more I've heard about this place out in Bexley but since that's a bit of a trek...never made it out there. Well hot damn I'm so glad it just opened up out this way. You can get takeaway or eat in...if you eat in you can bring the whole family as there's plenty of space. They serve alcohol too...what's not to like? You can get a gyro for $9, and if you want chips and a drink just tack on $5...can you say value?!? They have other dishes, but some weren't available yet like their burgers (I will eat you...maybe not now...but I will eat you.) I got the pork gyro and it was fan-fuggin-tastic. Tender meat and their chips are really really good...they must sprinkle the good stuff on them. They also make their own sauces, and I loved their aioli. Will definitely be back to get more gyro goodness as well as trying their platters.

We both ordered a plate which came with crispy, pork cooked to perfection. If you enjoy crackling, get the pork! Side of tasty chips, fresh greek salad, good sized portion of tzatziki and AMAZING pita bread. The small platter cost $16 including a soft drink and the portion size was more than enough for me. The staff were also friendly and chatted to all of the customers who came through. Plenty of seating as well as being a take away shop. Will definitely be going back for a gyro!
