Let's say I just want to chill and relax she can give me a Swedish Massage and I can just zone out. Or maybe the seasons are changing and I feel like I am getting sick and stressed out, I can get a Raindrop technique with Young Living oils. If my muscles are feeling stiff and tight she can do cupping techniques to release the muscles. Sometimes I will have really achy muscles from working out the Hot Stones are best. It's really a one stop shop. I don't have to go anywhere else. I highly recommend

This has led to a TON of tension in my back and soreness all over my body. I'd been researching A Touch of Relaxation a few days prior to my visit since I knew we'd be here in Paducah for a few days. I set up an appointment with Brooke and I am so glad I came in! She has magical hands and the massage was one of the best I've ever had!! She also used cups and tuning forks on me (which of course she asked was okay before she started) and the experiencing was literally life changing. She relieved a significant amount of tension all over my body, but especially in my back. $65 for my one hour massage:) Go to Brooke, you won't be disappointed!

I recently received a massage from Me Thyme Massage in Paducah, KY. The massage therapist,…read moreElizabeth, seemed very sweet, very professional. She told me early on what to expect, told me to feel free to tell her if more or less pressure was needed in any area, and asked if there were certain areas that needed more focus than others. With that said, this is where the talking stopped. And I appreciate that! After telling her the areas that were especially troublesome, she set up me with some headphones and relaxing music, turned off the lights, and began. Seriously, it was almost pitch black in the room..which I personally think is fantastic. The massage table was probably one of the most comfortable ones I've been on as well. Very cushioned, padded, and warm. My last massage, at a competitors spa in Paducah, was conducted with very harsh, bright lights, and a somewhat hard table While the decor was attractive, the lights made it especially difficult to really relax. At "Me Thyme", this was not at ALL the case. I could have easily fallen asleep. :) Additionally, you could tell that Elizabeth really loved her job. Some people go through the motions, and maybe the massage is fine...but it was clear that Elizabeth cared about her work, and wanted you to walk away in a much better state/condition than you arrived in. Now..with that said, I do have one teensy teensy thing I would change about my experience. That would be the candle in my room. Unlike some spas which use electric candles, this was a real burning candle. I'm somewhat sensitive to fragrances, and the candle proved to be somewhat of an irritant for my allergies, etc. For most this probably isn't an issue at all, and a real candle certainly adds to the ambiance...however, if you have allergies, like me, it is something you might want to be aware of.

If I could give less stars than 1 I would. This place…read morecaused me to have a panic attack.. here is the horrible experience I had at elysian fields today: They are antimaskers. When I called and set up the appointment I specifically asked what precautions they are taking and they told me that they wear masks and I can wear a mask and they wash their hands but when I showed up (dec 9th 2020) no one had a mask on and he sat there without a mask, poking at my scalp, denying the severity of the pandemic and breathing in my face... if he didn't want to wear a mask they should have accommodated my anxieties and found a masseuse willing to wear one or warned me before I was in my underwear under a luke warm blanket on the table. Getting a massage is all about being able to relax and let your guard down. I felt very uncomfortable and lied to. (I wore my mask the whole time. We are now absolutely quarantining until the 23rd because of this experience.) He told me to tell him if it got to be too much pressure for me... Then he spent 5 minutes lightly poking at my scalp. I politely told him he didn't have to be gentle, I like deep pressure which is why I paid for a deep tissue massage. He then told me that he was pressing as hard as he could for my body type. I told him "but I like it harder" and he said that he could only press so hard. 10 minutes later he started giving me a little pressure (normal amount) and asked if that was better. I said "I like it pretty hard but thats closer yeah." Then he said that that pressure was what people pay 90$ an hour for and said that I could leave. I told him that "I paid a lot of money for this deep tissue and I expected a deep tissue massage." He said "you didn't pay anything" which just tells me they don't respect gift card purchases at elysian fields spa. Horrible experience, I do not recommend attending this place especially during the pandemic. So unless you like paying 219 dollars for someone to run their fingers through your hair for 30 minutes and then kick you out and steal your money then I guess this place is the place for you. They did not give me my money back. You will not get your moneys worth if you use a gift card. They are unprofessional.
