I didn't actually visit the tasting room: we pitched up to the brewery outside town and loaded up with their excellent beer to drink at the cottage during the summer heat wave.
The brewers are really friendly and helpful, as well as being highly skilled and imaginative. Their products are just excellent, with a wide range of modern, hoppy, carbonated beers, available in cans and--often--mini-kegs. Our favorites included the lightly fruity and cloudy Florence IPA, and their smoky Rauchbier-style dark; but unlike most breweries there were no dogs: everything we tasted was just great.
Padstow Brewery also produces more challenging bottle-conditioned traditional English beers and ales, which are really lovely and come only in bottles. read more
