Even…read morethough he had competed in the Junior Olympics when he was younger, I decided anyway to come here and try out my ability. We both live in Flushing near Main St., so NYISC was a perfect place for us to travel to. The club inside was spacious and clean. Some of the staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and gave us a thorough and in-depth description of all the membership services and fees for ping pong games/coaching. The actual tables are professional-grade, and there are actually plenty of them spread throughout an enormous indoor facility. I liked the feel of the high ceilings while I played (or at least ATTEMPTED to play haha). Even though this place was popular on a weeknight around 7-8pm, the size of the facility didn't make me feel cramped. Checking out the rest of NYISC, I saw an indoor soccer field - which is a rare sight in a place such as Flushing. I don't play soccer, but I would recommend this space for soccer teams and friends looking to play a match or serious game. My boyfriend and I also wandered to the 'Pro Shop' in the sports club. They sold all different professional ping pong products from brands such as Butterfly (famous ping pong product manufacturer). We didn't purchase anything, but I did sign up for private lessons with one of the renowned & accomplished coaches. The pricing was for a set of 10 lessons and were more than affordable. The coaches were all world ranked, and have competed in Olympics, etc. Maybe one day I'll be able to at least keep up in a game with my boyfriend, lol. LAST THING: People here are very open and friendly. If you come on a weeknight like us or a weekend, there will always be staff to help you and fellow players/students to meet/interact with :) One person saw my extreme lack of ping-pong skills and kindly helped me out a bit the first time I came to NYISC -___- lols I will definitely be returning

Product created for Equinox hotel. From a simple thing as all the luxurious soaps, hand wash items to special teas and creams designed for an herbal experience Bar and restaurant is enchanting as I stepped to the courtyard for a lovely view. I am extremely disappointed with the way my serious safety concern was handled by Club Operations…read moreDirector Emma Marr. After an incident in the locker room where I felt unsafe, I immediately reported it to a staff member. I also contacted Emma Marr and even provided screenshots proving that I had reported the incident right after it happened. Despite this, I received no meaningful response for several days. I had to send multiple follow-up emails just to get a reply. When Emma finally responded, she claimed that if I wanted any action to be taken, I should have reported the incident at the time. This response was unacceptable because I did report it immediately. The screenshots I provided clearly prove that. Instead of acknowledging the report and apologizing for the delay, I was made to feel as though I had done something wrong. No member paying premium membership fees should have to chase management for days after reporting a safety concern. Member safety should always be the highest priority, and concerns like these deserve prompt, professional, and respectful attention. Because of the way this situation was handled, I have completely lost confidence in Equinox Hudson Yards. Emma Marr's lack of urgency, poor communication, and failure to properly address a legitimate safety complaint fall far below the standards I would expect from a luxury fitness club. I sincerely hope Equinox's senior management reviews how this matter was handled and takes meaningful steps to ensure that future safety complaints are treated with the seriousness, professionalism, and respect that every member deserves.

Hello, my old friend. I've been on a bit of a hiatus from Equinox (and instead becoming a Barry's…read moredevotee), though I'll never say no to a good chilled eucalyptus towel. We were staying nearby and my husband had a guest pass and it was either vegging out in the hotel room, eyeing the minibar, or moving my butt, so off I went. This Equinox is situated pretty close to the Insta-famous picture spot of the Brooklyn Bridge that all the movies and TV shows feature, so be prepared to wade through a camera-wielding crowd. The stairs to the check-in desk aren't bad at all. If you want a Stairmaster workout before your actual workout, try the stairs at the Seaport location in Boston. Brutal. Layout is pretty typical for an Equinox - I did appreciate the natural light facing the weights area. Perhaps in a nod to what the clientele are clamoring for, much of the space is devoted to weights/machines, with all the cardio equipment in a smaller cluster near the back. When we went in the afternoon on a weekday, the space, particularly the locker room, was completely deserted. There's also a smoothie/juice bar on the first floor.

Are you ready to start your workout with some stairs? Get ready. This location is all about walking…read moreup those stairs. The moment you walk in you walk a flight of stairs to the mezzanine floor where front desk will greet you. The second floor you have your weights, women's locker room, and main studio. Moving on now to the 3rd floor where you will find the men's locker room, the first sets of elliptical machines and treadmills. Finally, you made it to the 4th floor where you will find the Pilates area, some more treadmills, yoga studio, and cycling studio. The gym is well maintained and clean. You will find towels on every floor. The upkeep is well taken care of before and after classes. This location the layout is different compared to other Equinox locations. Might be med size, but has everything will separated. I like the main studio has a sense of privacy compared to other Equinox locations where the main studio is full exposure. The only thing I don't like is the yoga studio size. On most slow days the capacity is great, but on other days, depending on the instructor, yoga classes can get crowded. Can be a bit challenging when crowded to move around or extend yourself without bumping into the next yogi. You do have a few popular yoga instructors and their class can be crowded. The locker room you don't have much space if someone else is using the lockers. You have to wait in case someone is using the kicker next to yours. Service is good. Have no complaints. Very modest location and nice staff.
