We dined at paddlefish on the last night of vacation to the Disney resorts. Excellent service and great atmosphere. We were seated immediately on a busy Saturday night. Really nice views of Disney springs and the old fashioned car boats. The food was average, was expecting much better in terms of seafood entrees. The sweet potato fries with my sons kids meal were very good and the kids meal was a very large portion. Service was great and the whiskey flight was pretty good. They have a reserve that is only served there and I would recommend any whiskey drinker to try it out if you go there. My wife and I started off with the crab fries, which were great and set our hopes high. The sauce was really good and the portion was just enough. I ordered the dinner combo with Ahi tuna, catfish, and the cookie sundae. My wife got the calamari and crab ceviche. The ahi tuna and catfish had basically no flavor. On top of that, the catfish and calamari had way too much breading on them. The crab ceviche tasted like they used lime juice as a marinade. The cookie sundae was disappointing as the cookie and ice cream tasted like those you would get from the dollar general. Overall, it seemed like the kitchen staff was incredibly lazy with their preparation of the food. No way could I justify spending these prices when I can get a higher quality meal at the local taco bell. It's very disappointing since other reviews made this place seem amazing, so I guess we got unlucky with who was working that night (a Tuesday). The food was an insult to the quality of service of the waiter and I wanted nothing more than to take money away from the food and give it to him. read more

Very disappointed. I got the king crab legs which were 65 dollars and it was not good. It was very salty and rubbery. Nothing like what Fulton's crab house used to serve. Fulton's crab house used to have gigantic king crab claws that were sweet and plump. I don't mind paying for good seafood but this is something you expected from a cheap buffet. My coworker got the crab cakes and she said that it was also very salty. The server was pleasant and helpful but it took a long time to receive the entrees. Very sad!!!! This was our first time eating here and Mr. David Russell was phenomenal. His recommendations were spot on. His service was both entertaining and informative. I had the swordfish with Wasabi mashed potatoes and it was great. My wife had the catfish sandwich with sweet potato fries. She said it was delightful. We made a reservation here for New Years eve. While we arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time and checked in, but still had to wait an additional 30 minutes past our scheduled time to finally sit down. Our waitress was very nice and took our orders fairly quickly after we sat down. The drinks were mediocre at best. It was clear they had been sitting on the bar for a while and was extremely watered down. Our appetizer salad was OK, but nothing spectacular. We also had to ask for napkins since they never gave us any at all. Then there was the wait for the main course... we drank the two bottles of wine we ordered when we got in, and the water, and waited some more (over an hour wait after the appetizer). Now waterless and wineless, the New Year arrived, and a minute later the entire dining room we were sitting in all of a sudden started getting served. After the long wait and considering the prices, I expected a great meal. But I was sorely disappointed. My ciopino was ice cold and quite honestly, not very flavorful. At this point I was so tired of waiting that I had lost my appetite and did not feel like waiting even more for them to fix me another dish. Plus, I could see the kitchen was already closed and all they would do would be to microwave the same dish and serve me overcooked seafood. I just returned my meal and told them not to even bother bringing anything else. At this point the manager came out to apologize, which I appreciated and we FINALLY got the napkins we asked for almost 2 hours ealier. The rest of the dishes around the table looked just like you would expect from an amusement park restaurant. Totally ordinary and overpriced. The best tasting (if you overlook the fact that it was also extremely cold) and best looking dish were the scallops. However, they are definitely not worth the price. Overall, our experience was terrible. The table ate the cold dinner dinner without anything to drink or napkins. While the manager ended up waiving the entire check in the hopes we would give them an other chance, based on how negative our experience was, I doubt I ever will. You only have one chance to make a good first impression and unfortunately, this was a really awful one. read more

Food was ok, way over priced, I get it, its Disney. Decor is very nice. Went twice during our Disney trip, 1st was ok, wasn't completely sold and wanted to give it another try. I will say this, the service was excellent. 2nd time we went back, they were out of like 7 or 8 things, I'm like WTF, there is only like 14 things on the entree menu. Appetizers we had the Poke (Excellent), the lobster corn dogs, that waiter swore was the best selling app, (so so), the flavor of the batter is too overwhelming for lobster, and shrimp cocktail (Good and fresh), I settled for fish and chips for my main course, ehhh, so so, actually it made me nauseous, between the fried lobster corn dogs and the fried fish, it's probably my own fault, way to greasy. My wife ordered scallops, which were ok, I ordered crispy Brussel sprouts, they never came out, Waiter offered to bring them out, on the house, I said " No thank you", but it was nice of him to offer. We ordered PLAIN pasta (No butter, no sauce, no nothing) for our 5 year old, waiter go it right, apparently the kitchen didn't, so we had to wait for plain pasta. Ordered the Key Lime pie (Very good). The wine prices are way outta whack, for example a bottle of "Justin ", in stores goes for $20, in a restaurant, maybe $45, they price it at $70, YEAH, No thanks. And this goes for all there price gouged wines. Probably won't be back. read more

Worst restaurant and service ever. Extremely overpriced for such horrible food and service! I have celiac and am extremely gluten intolerant and told them upfront. Nothing is marked gluten free they didn't offer to send out the chef. They advertise the have a dedicated fryer, but when I asked about the crab fries they told me sure as long as I didn't mind cross contamination. I ended up with the scallops and they tasted fishy. We had to tell them the sprite was flat and needed changed. There are much better restaurants at Disney Springs try any of them! read more

This restaurant is expensive, as could be expected of a nice seafood restaurant at Disney. It cost about $100 for my family of 4. That being said, the food was very good and the atmosphere is top notch. Also, our waiter Larry was fantastic. His service was good, but what set him apart was personality. He was humorous and also did little magic tricks for the kids. If my daughter's had their way, we have dropped $100 a night eating at The Paddlefish every day. read more

I've eaten here before and the food and service was awesome. This time I wasn't all that great. We were sat by the bar and sat there for probably 15 minutes before our server came by. We ordered drinks and appetizers first. It took which felt like a very long time to get our drinks. Once we got our drinks we ordered our entree's. I ordered the crab boil. It was over all good but was not warm when I received it. Our server named Peyton was good but bad at the same time. She took an extremely long time bringing us various foods, drinks and items. But she was nice. My claim chowder that I ordered tasted like it came straight from a bag not made fresh. The experience was definitely not a Disney experience. Never once did I see a manager. The food was amazing but absolutely HORRIBLE service. Waiter didn't care about customer service one bit. Didn't check on us to see how we were doing, took our drink order 20 minutes after we arrived, didn't bring us ranch for our salad (asked 2 different individuals), asked for a 2nd glass of wine and never brought it. We made eye contact with what could have possibly been the manager and walked over to our table to talk to us and before getting to us he said "I'll be right back" but never came back. When we left I complained to the hostess because someone needed to know how bad the waiter was and she apologized and said "he's on his way out anyways". When the reservations were made they were told it was for a special occasion now why would they give someone who is leaving and doesn't care a table to someone whose celebrating a special occasion with 9 people. Extremely disappointed. I left my number with the hostess and was told I would get a call within 48 hours, but haven't received a call yet. read more

We had dinner tonight on the Disney dining plan. This is a signature experience (two ticket experience). We were seated on the third floor. The ambience was terrible. The room was brightly, harshly lit and acoustically poor. It was quite noisy, making conversation difficult. Selections for the dining plan were limited. We ordered salmon, sea bass, and Opah. Portions were small. The opah was over cooked and dry. It was served lukewarm. It was served with a red curry sauce with some kind of mustard in it. It just didn't work. The crab fried rice was bland and notably deficient in the crab. The small portion of sea bass was good quality but its coconut broth was bland. Service was well beneath a fine dining experience, likely due to the restaurant being improperly staffed. We noticed waiters bussing tables and sweeping floors (no separate staff to bus tables). He was unable to figure out how to substitute fruit for any of the desserts on the menu. In summary, the dining experience falls substantially short of signature dining. read more

Let me start by saying the food and ambiance were wonderful. Unfortunately the service and management was terrible. We were a large party (10 ppl) but says that is good for large groups. We waited 20 minutes for the server to even come to the table to give us water or take drink orders. Then served and finished our appetizers before the drinks came to the table (ran out of the water from the 1/2 full carafe he left). When he served our entrees asked for another round and it never came until the check but that only because we asked for them to go. He offered to split the check but multiple time he had them wrong. Went to Paddlefish for our anniversary. The rebuild was spectacular. Dinner was a flop. We were down right disappointed. Our waitress was a nervous type (kept picking at her nails so bad that there were none and some were bleeding). I asked for a certain martini and the bartender never heard of it (Key Lime Pie - known in the Keys). The asked for an Appletini and the bartender had to take out a book for the recipe. Dinner was WAY OVER SALTED to where I could not finish my Cioppino and my husbands crab tasted as though boiled in over salted water. He never was offered anything to wipe his hands after eating crab legs (like a wet towel or even a wet pack). I mentioned it was our anniversary, thinking they would be like Fulton's and bring a cup sized cake with happy anniversary written on the plate BUT NO. Barely any recognition of it. We ordered desert and were never offered coffee with desert. By that time we just wanted out of there. For what we paid for the dinner it was a total flop and we will make sure our friends DON'T go there for any reason. Fulton's waiters were attentive and made sure bread crumbs were cleaned up every time they passed the table. Every couple of waiters had an assistant that made sure everything was neat and dished removed promptly. Paddlefish - you will never be on the level of Fulton's. read more

We got the seafood tower ($70), which had a generous portion of king crab legs, raw oysters, ceviche (a bit bland but nothing cocktail sauce couldn't fix, poke (a bit salty but not bad), and some very large succulent shrimp. Only one star because 0 starts is not a option. Our waitress was a little over the top trying to get some tip. We ordered 2 Mahi Mahi and a whole fried yellow tail. We got one Mahi Mahi. The dish that was for me they claimed that it was Mahi Mahi but it was most likely a Tilapia. The Yellow Tail that my wife ordered they didn't even have. We found out once the food came out of the kitchen. We were not charged for the yellow tail and got a shrimp cocktail on the house. "4 shrimp". Do not waste your money on this restaurant. There is a smoke house in Disney springs that looked so much better and smelled great. I regret not going there. I'm surprised Disney lets this type of service in there grounds. read more

This past week, we were at Disneyworld and decided to try the new restaurant, Paddlefish, which just opened replacing Fulton's Crab House, a restaurant we loved. We were on the Disney dining plan and eating at Paddlefish was using 2 food entitlements which means it very expensive. First, let me say the decor was absolutely beautiful. They did a great job with that. However, that was the best part of our dinner. There were so many things wrong with the food: first, we just had regular water and it was presented in a very nice glass bottle but when I asked for ice, the waiter was confused and I had to restate to just bring us glasses of ice and we would pour the glass bottle water into them to keep it ice cold. Instead the waiter brought us ice with water and in drinking it, it tasted like it came out of the lagoon. The bread was really good; hot and fresh served with a cinnamon butter. When we asked for more bread, the loaf brought to us was not warm and very stale. I sent it back. My son ordered the Lobster Corn Dogs for an appetizer which were very good. He had the Filet Mignon which was good but it came with french fries (didn't look hand cut to us as menu said). For what you are paying at this restaurant, it should come with mashed or a baked potato and also a vegetable. My husband had the Sea Bass which came in a broth and 6 muscles which he doesn't even like. I had the Lobster Risotto which was basically a saffron rice with one lobster claw on top which was overcooked and dry. In the middle of dinner, a waiter dragged a chair to another table making so much noise....unbelievable that he didn't pick it up and move it to the table. The desserts were good: I had strawberry shortcake, my son had the brownie milkshake, and my husband had the flourless chocolate cake. I had a cup of coffee and it was warm, not hot. When the bill came, it was shocking: $190 with no alcoholic drinks, no sides with our meals and very small portions. To sum up, we will never go back to Paddlefish and feel they should bring back Fulton's Crab House! read more
