It was good, didn't have to go far after a long day at the disney parks being in the lobby of the Wyndham hotel. They accommodated my 1.5 year old and could seat us at 5:30pm. They have a small kids menu with crayons. Price was kind of high though for some dishes like the grouper was $60? Salmon was ok. Cesar salad was smaller than was expected, presentation was nice, Service was good. Short rib was enjoyed from someone in our party.

Seafood is really great here. First we started with drinks, which one was the candied old-fashioned with brown sugar. My wife had the espresso martini, which she dearly loved. For entree I had the swordfish which came with yucca fries and petite carrots. It was cooked so well and to perfections. My wife had the salmon fillet, grilled to perfection, served atop marble potatoes and broccolini, and complemented by a green goddess cream sauce with lemon oil. Our appetizer was the shrimp tempura roll. It was so fresh and the tempura still had a crunch about it, which is hard to find in sushi rolls. Our server, Ivan was fantastic and attentive. The atmosphere is a little bougie so be ready for that. It is a little on the pricy side but well worth it.

Was a great evening, great food.. Cocktails were slow... however they have great cocktails creations. Our server provided a good service. Is a good place to go but with no rush. Your dinner experience will take time.. but you'll like the place The view and the open kitchen make the ambience to be really cozy.

I've heard wonderful things from friends about deep Blu, so I'm happy I got to go for another great magical dining experience! For a restaurant that has a resort casual dress code I was expecting a more laid back ambiance but it's actually quite nice inside! It has the beauty of a finer dining establishment with a casual feel of being a the resort. The hostess was very nice and validated parking for me right away before seating us. The service team was on point and had some great drink suggestions as I was going back and forth between a few options. Now on to the good stuff. For drinks I had the bubbly blu, and Paradisu (mojito lovers should try this). My friend ordered the Oaxacan Old Fashioned, which was POWERFUL. For my meal I started with the very light and refreshing Deep Blu Ceviche, for my entree I had the mouthwatering Lamb Ragu, and for dessert I finished off with the Guava Panna Cotta. I would love to come back and try some of their other dishes! The server raved about their crab Mac & cheese, so that'll be next on my list to devour!

I went to Deep Blu for a birthday celebration after staying in the Wyndham Bonnet Creek hotel. For a Saturday at 7pm, it was pretty empty but the hostess greeted us warmly. She explained their Magical Dining ($60 three-course menu, look up Magical Dining Orlando online for a whole list of restaurants that participate!) menu quickly before we were brought to our table. We had two waiters and both were the perfect amount of attentive and charismatic - wish I remembered their names! We started with bread and a run-through of the menu highlights. The big table was a mix of Magical Dining and traditional dining orders. For starters, someone ordered the Beet Salad and loved it (can't find it on the menu online for a price). The Butternut Squash Soup ($10) was thick but also seemed like a hit. The Artisan Green Salad (on the Magical Dining menu) was also enjoyed by those who ordered it. For the main entrees, I had the Grilled Salmon ($38) and WOW! The crispy skin, the lemon dill cream sauce, the fennel (and I don't even really like fennel)....amazing! Someone at the table said it was the best salmon they've ever had. The Half Chicken and Vegetables ($30) was recommended by the waiter and seemed like a hit. The Grilled Ribeye ($58) looked super yummy and everyone who ordered it loved it! The Blu Crab Crusted Grouper ($60) was really good and had a nice thick layer of crab on top! The Steak Frites ($45) looked yummy but maybe a little plain. For sushi, someone tried the Swamp Nuggets Roll ($18), Rajun Cajun Roll ($18) (both were recommended by the waiter), and the Spicy Salmon Roll ($16). All were good - I tried the Spicy Salmon and it was really spicy but good if you like that spice level. Onto dessert! The birthday girl received a free slice of their Mexican Spiced Chocolate Cake ($14) and YUM! You could really taste the spice in the perfect blend with the sweet cake - everyone tried it and loved it. Someone also tried the Guava Panna Cotta ($14) and raved about it! They loved the flavors and textures throughout. Overall, a really special dinner and restaurant, but definitely on the pricey side. I would probably only come back for another special occasion but I was thoroughly impressed by Deep Blu!

Food and service were excellent, although the food did take a long time to arrive. We did have big party (8) though. Company outing. This place is a little expensive. If it was in my budget, I'd frequent it often (if I lived in Orlando), but it is not. But definitely worth a one time visit (or more). Enjoy.

My family and I went to dinner at deep blu seafood grille while in Orlando. My parents have been several times, but this was me and my husband's first time. To start, the restaurant has a strict dress code policy; however, it was not enforced. Several parties came in with shorts, flip flops, and baseball hats. The service was also very slow and it wasn't really busy at all. To start, we ordered the crab cakes and some people ordered cocktails. The crab cakes were decent with a lot of crab and little to no fillers, but the taste was just okay to me. I didn't really think one crab cake was worth $30. My parents even admitted, it looked like the crab cakes had gotten smaller. For entrees, we ordered sushi and the grilled swordfish. The sushi was just okay. Not the best I have and it really didn't taste that fresh to me. Overall, this place was just okay to me.

It's really 4.5 and what a great start to our Anniversary weekend get away. I love that the Wyndham Grand where we are staying has a wonderful restaurant and you can make a reservation in advance. We started with their award winning crab cake and after the first bite, I could see why it had won. Lots of delicious lump crab meat with the barest amount of filler. So glad our awesome server Rachael recommended it. And she really helped make our dinner even better with excellent service. My Cauliflower bisque with hazel nut pistou was very good. But my husband's appetizer of Mussels in a coconut curry broth was phenomenal, Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and want a nice dinner/evening out.

Magical Dining at Deep Blu - I've been wanting to try this place for a while as I heard it was good. We were staying at the Waldorf so I thought we'd give it a try. Well, it was 'fine'. The place is really nice and the menu sounded great. The ambiance is perfect for a nice dinner and the service is excellent. We started with the Caesar salad and the mussels. The Caesar was really heavy on the anchovy but the mussels were excellent along with the sauce and bread for dipping. We also ordered an eel roll to share - just your standard but good. Next, we had the chicken and the lobster linguine. I really liked the chicken and grits. The linguine was entirely too spicy and the sauce was just lacking but the lobster portion was admirable. I had a few bites and brought it home for the hubby to add an alfredo sauce to it. We had the crème brûlée and the mason jar desserts and both were really sweet. We took these back with us and never finished them (the hubby never leaves a dessert behind). If I was staying there, I might go but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way. The standard price point is fairly high so I'd prefer La Luce or Bull and Bear next time in Bonnet Creek over this.

*This review is for the bar area outside and not the restaurant* We stayed at the Wyndham grand Orlando resort for a quick trip since my husband was in Orlando for business. The hotel is stunning! Very beautiful and clean and the people who work there are so nice. Surprisingly, the hotel wasn't very full which was great because we had our son and he could openly explore the hotel without a ton of people being around. I came down to the bar to grab some food to go and I decided to grab a drink as well. I ordered the spicy margarita and it was amazing! Since I was starving I also ordered their soup which turned out to be a Cajun lobster bisque and it was Ah-mazing! The chunks of lobster were delicious and the flavor was so delicious! I love spicy so having that hint of spicy in the bisque was great. For our food to go, we ordered the steak frites, some sushi rolls, the chessboard and my son got the chicken fingers and fries. The sushi was amazing and so was the cheese board. The only issue I had was I orders steak frites and instead I got a full steak. Usually steak frites are cut up pieces of steak with a. Yummy Garlic aioli sauce for the steak and fries and I did not get either :( just a blob of steak that was kind of bland and French fries. I would just say to the restaurant that you shouldn't advertise steak frites if that's not what you are bringing when you serve the food. I personally love steak frites and I was so sad when that wasn't what I received :( The bartenders at the bar were also great! They made my drink to perfection and added the Tajin rim which I love. And they were so attentive and just made sure I had everything I needed.

This restaurant is located in the Wyndham Bonnet Resort. Really good ambience, excellent service and food but very pricey. We took advantage of a special that they had for $60 which included an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. All of the dishes were full size. If you saw the individual prices you would know what a good deal this is. My two friends chose the Prince Edward Island Mussels which came in a spicy coconut broth mixed with sake & chorizo. My one friend felt it was too spicy for her, the other friend felt it was spicy, but enjoyed the flavor. I tried it and thought the sauce was amazing! It was incredibly robust in flavor. The mussels came with sourdough bread, which was perfect for dipping in the sauce. The appetizer I chose was the ceviche. Fairly standard with a wonderful citrus marinade. It came with slices of watermelon radish. I've actually never had that before and I enjoyed that immensely. Beautiful presentation with an abundance of fish. I would have no problem having this appetizer again. My one friend chose the Grilled swordfish, which came with butternut squash, bok choy, salsa verde & a coconut curry sauce. She said she enjoyed her meal. To be honest I did not try it since I'm not keen on swordfish. She thoroughly enjoyed this dish. My other friend and myself chose the chicken that had a chicken jus sauce & was accompanied by potato purée, asparagus & petit greens. Found the chicken quite flavorful and moist. There was so much that we could only eat part of the meal. We finished off with dessert. One friend chose the Mexican Spiced Chocolate Cake That came with caramel and candied pepitas, and also had a ball of whipped cream. I tried it and found it quite flavorful, as did she. My friend and myself decided to go with the Warm Apple Walnut Bar that came with cinnamon ice cream, Caramel and walnuts. My friend didn't make much of a comment about it. As for me, I've never had cinnamon ice cream before and I actually found I enjoyed that most of all. The desert was flavorful and not overly sweet with a hint of the walnuts. We could only take a bite or two after such a huge supper. You truly cannot go wrong eating at this restaurant, just be prepared for a little bit of sticker shock. I could see myself eating here in the future if I am fortunate enough to stay again at the resort.

I'm shocked. I read the reviews, but I was somewhat skeptical. Honestly I don't think of Orlando as a hot spot for good dining, so I looked to Yelp for help to wipe away the Mickey Mouse food and other local haunts. There's only so many churros one can eat at Universal or mega Turkey legs at Disney without feeling like you've lost your culinary way. Alas- right under our nose was Deep Blu. First of all, it's a big footprint and the tables aren't on top of one another. Our waiter was fabulous. We started with a shrimp tempura roll. The shrimp was super fresh. Oh- and they brought warm rolls with this garlic herb butter which was properly consumed. We ordered the ribeye and the salmon....and we wanted both so the waiter had each meal split in two. What was nice was they ended up bringing 4 plates so each diner received a plate of both the rib eye and the salmon. And now the taste. The potato purée /mousse for the rib eye was just amazing. Fingerlings yum and I don't ordinarily like potatoes. Rib eye was cooked well and tasty. However, it's not the typical NY rib eye. Fair warning: it's not thick. But tasty. Now - the salmon. The waiter said it was filleted with the skin on. Yes please. And now the taste. So tender and a nice crisp on the outside. For you salmon skin lovers- it was so crispy and yummy. Salty, crunchy and just melt in your mouth. So, yeah- I was pretty blown away. My dilemma is the rating. Is it a 5 star rating as my tastebuds and expectations have been dulled by theme park fare? Is it just that when in comparison to Moe's burgers as the Simpson's Universal experience that I'm desperate for anything somewhat good? I'd say, perhaps...But I know salmon, sushi and steak. According to Malcolm Gladwell I'm a master expert on eating salmon, sushi and steak. So here goes- the truth is that this joint has an amazing chef. One that knows how to rock the salamander ever so skillfully that I'm still thinking about that salmon skin. Yes- this place is good. Good dining experience as well- very attentive. So, if you find yourself in Orlando, and feel like you're stuck on funnel cake, cheeseburgers and nuggets, do your self a favor and eat here. PS: there's no annoying theme music.

We had lunch catered during our conference today as well as breakfast the next morning on the last day of our conference as well. Today was Cuban themed. We had salad with lime vinaigrette, mango salsa with shrimp, only ate the mango salsa, which wasn't too bad. There was rice with cilantro and lime with black beans, it was dry and bland. The chicken was also a bit dry, but tasted decent. My husband and a fellow conference attendee said the Cuban sandwich was dry and overdone, as was the pork loin. The plaintains were okay. The best part of our meal were the cookies. I tried bites of the macadamia, which was so-so. The mini chocolate chip cookie was also decent. The oatmeal raisin was the better of the 3 and packed full of raisins. All 3 cookies were chewy.

I'll be eating this one soon. 10/2/2020

Stopped by for a quick lunch with my mom. This place was pretty easy to find. You can park along…read morethe street or in the garage which it is attached to. They have a little sign by the street to help you find it/advertising, as it's in the hallway of the plaza. It's on the ground level so we didn't have to take any stairs or elevator. Upon entry, there was no one to greet us. We headed to the register where they had a bunch of menus and pictures. While we were looking, the lady came out from the back with food items for someone who was already seated. Everything looked good. There was a guy waiting for his order to go, another guy waiting to eat by himself, and another lady also waiting to eat by herself. There was some interview going on between two guys- sounded like it was about the restaurant as I heard them talking about kimchi fried rice. It sounded so good, I ordered that with shrimp. Mom had the bento box lunch. We asked for two cups for water, which she said she would bring to us. We sat for awhile, and saw the others and the to go person get their food. The water cups did not come until after she brought us our food. Maybe that's the way they do it? Anyhow- our food was out in a reasonable time and everything was delicious. I tried some of mom's beef bento box- she got the bulgogi beef and we were both a little shocked that it was ground beef and not thin slices, but the flavor was spot on. My mom did not finish her lunch and I had a small portion of rice left. When I asked for one to go box- the lady almost seemed upset that I didn't want two! She asked me what about my leftovers? To which I said my mom was taking everything in one box. lol. We don't like to waste and I wasn't going to toss mine but it seemed silly to get another box for the little bit of rice I had. So we put it all in one. We paid at the register and took our box. There are many more items on the menu I'd like to try. My mom was pretty impressed with the place. It's nothing to look at, really, but the food is good and she will probably bring her friends here for lunch.

Thrive continues to impress after being open for many years…read more I especially love their colorful drink menu showing what goes in each cocktail. Their menu is small plates. Yes they are expensive. But the interior is beautiful, service is always outstanding, and the food has unique twists....Worth it I especially love the crisp rice bites and slider menu. Perfect stop with friends before heading out for the night. It gets too loud on a weekend night for a date but during the week it would make a great date night destination. They wouldn't be my go-to for sushi, but it's not bad either. The only small suggestion I'd love to see, is adding a rotating special cocktail to the happy hour menu. The happy hour drink list is very unimpressive given the normal drink menu

The place is beautifully decorated with greenery and modern furniture. I've been here both for brunch and dinner. The drink menu is so unique. The diagrams show you the contents of the drink in a legend kind of style and every drink I've had here is delicious. The waitstaff is attentive and the bartenders are skilled. My favorite item is the Double Play sushi entree. The chef, like the other staff, knows what hes doing back there! The food comes out hot and perfectly crispy. This is a great place for brunch/dinner with friends or as a date night.
