A typical local sit down Mexican restaurant. The interior is a bit worn but not unclean. Started with a mango frozen margarita. It was ok. It had a little coconut flavor to it which I'm not so fond of. The free chips and salsa were nice to get but vert average. Chips not warmed up and salsa was ok but no great E My main course was the shrimp changa. The shrimp were nice. The chimichanga was not fried long enough and was still mushy. Today I joined four friends at this Paco's restaurant. When I arrived, they were finishing their appetizers. I was not acknowledged by the owner or the female or the male waitress a waiters. I was not offered Water or a menu. It appears if you are a popular and a regular person here then you get special attention and, if you are not a regular person, they don't even acknowledge your presence. Customer Service is on a scale of 1-5 is a ONE because they do wait on the regulars and their special customers! The dishes are not taken away without you asking for them to be picked up. I remember going there about six months ago and ordered a salad. I was told it would take too long to make the salad. But they made it for a white lady, Cynthia because she's a regular that's her salad. I don't see how these people are still in business. I will not be returning to Paco's. Adios amigo. read more

WOW! I just read a lot of the reviews from others here. I totally get it when they wrote on customer service! The grouchy waiter who is at the front door register SUCKSsssss!!!!! The little short lady is super sweet (AKA Margarita lady as one of the reviewers called her LOL). As for the manager, he too is nice. The manager comes off distant-but if you chat with him-he is cool. As for the food, I get the salmon salad and it is sooooo good! Extremely flavorsome! I am HUGE on flavor! And I am not an older Caucasian as one of the reviewers mentioned that older Caucasians do not like seasoned food. I am black. Anyhow, I can confirm that the price is high-$18 something for an amazing perfectly crisp taco salad bowl with a tiny bed of cheese sprinkled on the bottom portion of the shell then lettuce over that (which is also not much). After the lettuce-a heaping amount of yummy flavored salmon perfectly moist! After the salmon, one sliced tomato and sometimes a lot of guacamole and sometimes a teeny bit . Finally a little cheese sprinkled on top of it all. It comes with a dollop of sour cream, but I do not have sour cream with mine. Never tried their drinks. I read how one customer mentioned getting denied drinks after they had only two! WOW! I totally can see this establishment shutting down after reading a lot of the reviews and after me seeing personally the register dude waiter. His personality is definitely not for dealing with customers. I say fire him. Hire positive energy in the place. GIVE MORE FOOD if prices are overly higher than other Mexican restaurants in the area. What a truly strange experience. My friend and I ate here tonight for the first time. Food was just ok and surprisingly more expensive then similar restaurants in the area, but the pitcher of house margs was pretty great and we were already making plans to come back, until our server literally kicked us out at 9:58. He hovered by our table, glaring at us from the register for 30 minutes before that while we finished our meal, and then began pacing back and forth by our table before starting to BANG ON THINGS while looking at us. Then he walked over, told us they were now closed and we had to leave. I should add that the restaurant isn't listed as closed until 10pm. We had already paid and left a generous tip, and were so confused. We absolutely had planned on coming back and bringing friends for drinks, but now will definitely not be returning. A group of 6 of us went in to eat the lunch buffet that they have and the male waiter got us our drinks and made 7 drinks. And we didn't think anything of it. But when we got done eating and he come by with our tickets he made a ticket and lay it down at an empty seat that he put the extra drink at. We all got up and left that ticket on the table and went too pay when we all did he started to say why did the last person leave without paying . And we told him there was only 6 of us not 7 he went on to and us leaving without paying telling us to never to come back and on and on. I told him there was only 6 and he took me back to the table where they 7 drinks and he said see there was 7 people. I told him to check his cameras and he wouldn't. FYI the menu in the website is incorrect. The guy that owned the business before passed away and with him the credentials to the website. Weird and hilarious but they have a QR code you can scan to get the up to date menu with the correct prices. I like it here. It's mine and my husband's go-to spot for some basic Mexican. very poor customer service I call at least twice a week to place a picked order. and the owner himself hung up on me 3 times as if he couldn't hear me and the last time he said " wtf do you want " before hanging up again on me. While I am still in search of something to compare their soup to another vendors i can always rely on the consistency of the dishes I choose. Its also within minutes from my front door to theirs. Not the best Mexican food I've ever had, but it's better than your average place. I ordered the Steak Polo. It was sautéed veggies and steak over rice and cheese poured in top. It came with 3 soft tortillas. It was all well seasoned and the steak was cooked to my liking. Not to mention the cheese poured on top- yum! Our server was nice and joked around with us. We went around 7 on a Sunday night and the place was pretty empty, which surprised me. They had bar seating or the other side of the restaurant was divided off and had booths and tables. There was even a buffet, but it was closed when we got there so this must only be an option certain times of the day or certain days of the week. Ew. No thanks. I was invited there by a friend on Superbowl Sunday. The food was Ok, kind of hard to F up a veggie quesadilla. After 2 drinks I was cut off. Order a Texas Fajitas Nacho's by phone after checking the price by website. Price said $12.99. Call employee takes the order and says 10 minutes. I get there give info on my order and empoyee says that will be $18.99 plus tax. I say your website said $12.99. He says don't believe the website prices go up everyday. I say yes but if I knew the price I would have ordered somthing different or just went somewhere cheaper but you took that option by not giving me the price even after I ordered knowing as you say price changes everyday. This place is most likely geared to the older white taste buds in the area because it's very bland as far as Mexican food goes. Everything tasted a few steps away flavor wise from what I am used to. The enchilada sauce was super sweet and the meat was a dry in all the dishes we tried. I was disappointed. My husband and I took our visitors to Paco's last night for dinner, and I was totally UNDERwhelmed. I ordered Paco's Nachos with chicken, and my husband and one of our guests ordered Paco's Nachos with beef. What has happened to one of our favorite restaurants????? On my chicken nachos, there was less than 1/8 cup of chicken, which was placed on the side of a dish filled with lettuce, refried beans, and sour cream. My husband and one of our guests got about 2 Tablespoons of ground beef on the side of their lettuce, etc. We have eaten at this restaurant for years, but it has continued to go downhill. I was actually ashamed that we took visitors there. We were the only table occupied at 5:30 pm, so that should have told us something. Another two customers came in before we left, but that was it. The service was not the best. I guess one problem was that there was nobody on the staff who spoke English fluently enough to understand what we were asking for! I am very disappointed that we cannot depend on what use to be our go-to Mexican restaurant in the area. The prices continue to go up, and the quality of our food continues to go down. If things are not improved and brought up to what is expected, Paco's will be losing more customers than just us. With nobody there except us, the ambiance was negligible. read more

I've been in Mableton for years, and am now deeply ashamed for not trying Paco's earlier. In my defense, and in their favor, the 1-2 times BP (Before the Pandemic) that I tried, they were packed with customers, and I was starving. Thanks to my current commitment to order takeout from local joints, I've finally circled back around to Paco's and MAN! I really wish I'd had snacks in my purse to endure the 45 min wait times, before. The Pollo Loco and Queso Fundido are SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOD!! I called my order in after grocery shopping, so putting away food took up my first 15 -20 min once I arrived home. By the time I finished, I was just ready for FOOD, so I wasn't really considering taste. Then ... I placed the 1st forkful of chicken / rice / sauteed onions & pepper in my mouth and "LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!" An angelic musical emoji is really needed here. The layered flavors, the textures, the smoky, slightly peppery, cheesy, well seasoned aromas of that combination made me pause and remember to give Thanks! God is good and He has blessed Paco's cook with some seriously satisfying skills! A 4 to 5-star experience, but I'm going back soon, just to make sure this wasn't just my hunger talking. The food I had was ok. I had the chicken burrito with green sauce but the sauce was really thick and I'm not use to that but I didn't get sick. The reason for two stars was do to a numerous of things. First we walked in and waited for 10 min for anyone to seat us. My wife order nachos and it had this weird drippy juice coming from under the nachos it was not appetizing at all. His attitude was rushed as if he doesn't want to be there and he seems to either own the place or be family because regardless the complaints he doesn't alter him and becomes angry when questioned about the table manner. We ordered chicken nachos and a beef quesadilla yesterday during the storm. Eek! The guy on the phone was really friendly and laughed at my fake pronunciation of "rellenos". Not funny, guy. I was really trying. lol! He said that it would be ready in 10 minutes. That's quick. After picking it up, we dug in. No complaints at all. My nachos were crispy and freshly fried.. you could tell. There was lots of cheese, plenty of chicken, and peppers. I had a couple burnt nachos but it was no big deal. The quesadilla... ehhh, glad that wasn't mine. I was happy with what I ordered. My partner and I decided to give Paco's a try but to our surprise it actually very awful! In regards the service. When we walked in the hostess was nowhere to be seen! We turn our heads to the bar and there she was? Drinking a margarita... she took about 3 minutes to realize that we were waiting to be seated. Once we got to our booth it was dirty, with crumbs on the table and chair! We literally had to tell the margarita lady to clean it. Our server was horrible! He's the reason for the -3 stars tbh! It's been probably seven years since I last ate at Pacos, but my husband insisted we give Paco's another try since it had been so long. The first thing I noticed when we drove up was a lot of litter beside the restaurant. It was a off putting, but we went in anyway. As far as inside the restaurant, a lot has changed for the better since my last visit. The service and food were both pretty good. Our waitress was friendly and the overall service was fast. I ordered the steak tacos on corn tortillas, and my husband ordered some kind of steak dish with red sauce. The portion sizes were very generous, and the food tasted good. We ordered margaritas, too. The margs weren't the greatest tasting I've ever had, but they were strong lol. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, and am likely to come back. read more

Never been to a Mexican buffet before and I must say they have set the standard high. Their lunch buffet is limited/small, but that's good because you'll notice the staff come by and constantly stir the items or replace what needs to be replaced.
