If I could give negative stars, I would. I brought my…read moredaughter here and have never met the actual doctor. I requested seeing a physician, not an NP, but every appointment was scheduled with Maureen, an NP anyway. I discussed multiple issues, all of which were pretty much down played and brushed off. I had to call the office and request a referral to a specialist, after Maureen suggested I keep my daughter on stool softer "indefinitely". The stool softer, which contains PEG products, has multiple medical journals and studies saying it is not safe for children to use for long periods of time. I also brought up that my daughter was still not speaking. She pretty much told me she'll talk when she's ready and that she doesn't believe my daughter had any delays. Maureen is not qualified or able to make that call. I again had to call the office to get a referral, this time for a speech therapist for my daughter. I requested having a specific specialist, Maureen refused to issue a referral for the one I requested, and instead sent a referral to a provider 50 minutes away from where I live. I explained that I needed the one I requested, Maureen said she would not issue a referral to another provider unless I made an appointment to see her so that she could evaluate my daughter to see if my daughter is delayed. Maureen also insulted me by say that since my daughter was on Medicaid, I should have no issues bringing her to a state run facility to be evaluated. An NP is not qualified to diagnose a child with being delayed. My daughter is having difficulties speaking, and needs someone who is qualified helping her. Like a speech therapist.
