We made a point to go through the the festival again this year and I made a point to buy another belt. The one from last year shows hardly any wear at all. Very satisfied with the quality and the price.

Harness is still widely used because the land here is steep and rugged, making horses preferred over tractors for many farming tasks. This safer, more practical way of working, prospered our downtown harness business. Harness makers performed their historical craft publicly with turn of the century tools in the early American tradition. In this same way, a crowd gathered in interest to view production in our unique and unusual shop. Then one day a man asked if a heavy belt could be cut from thick bridle leather for himself. He told us of his thin combined belt splitting apart, cracking, tearing at the holes and cheap hardware peeling and breaking, lasting only a year or so. We obliged him and produced a few to sell. Everyone that saw our belts told us that they had been looking for a good quality belt for a long time. Our belts sold fast and became so popular that Blue Ridge Mountain Belt Company was born. Our belts are different and they're not just good for horses. We use only the best American grown and tanned bridle leather fashioned with solid brass hardware. They are hand crafted by Leathersmiths on Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina. You also will be pleased with your choice and will enjoy our quality belts for years to come. Ya'll come visit!
