At the store they are doing a great job of wearing masks and providing due care during the pandemic.

The prices here need to be re-evaluated because they are outrageous on most items. Some of the shoes were in terrible condition, dirty etc and priced as new. Clothing, alot was priced as new or more than the price of brand new. Especially if they pay people $1 an item, how do they justify $40 for a basic tank top that costs less than half that at Target. I did find a very comfy bra there for $10. But I don't see how they can justify their prices especially in this area.

It seemed that I did indeed leave with all my items, but I was surprised because I did not see them in the bag with the receipt. The manager Anika looked at all their cameras to help find my items. She even went to look at the outside cameras and lobby to see if I dropped them. I started wondering maybe I should look one more time in the car ...and surprise they were in the car door! I feel bad for making them search so much during a hectic time of year. I'm so thankful for Anika and the employees at Gabe's for insuring that I got my products. This is where The Fouled Anchor comes in. The Fouled Anchor offers men's apparel, home goods, and camping equipment that is every bit as stylish as it is fully equipped to be man handled and exposed to the harshest of elements. From artisanal beard oil and backpacks with a durable design to mugs and fire starter kits, the urban male who wants to get back into the wilderness can find everything he needs here. They also have locally crafted furnishings and things like handmade ties that give a portion of their proceeds back to charity. When I dropped in to see a friend, it was a rainy Wednesday afternoon. Shakey Graves (one of my favs) was playing in the background and the two gentlemen in the store were talking beer. I set up camp on the luxurious leather sofa in the middle of the store and instantly felt cozy and at home. And although I didn't purchase anything, the staff is friendly and knowledgable about all the products they offer. Now let's be honest, do I think it's a tad bit hipster? Of course. Should I drop the word 'Lumbersexual' in this review? Well, I just did. However, I'm truly happy Johnson City has a store like this and the folks behind it have a great story. The Fouled Anchor has gotten their flag and planted it firmly on Mount Masculinity and I love it. It is the epitome of manliness and Ron Burgundy would be pleased. As am I.
