My friends and I go 2-4 times a month to play commander. There's a table pass system in which you spend $10 and get a voucher that lets you stay and play and can be exchanged for $10 off of a purchase. This is fair and we've never had a problem with this. We typically end up spending ~$20-$30 each when we come and play anyway (more when we buy sets). The problem is how this voucher is limited in its use. My friend and I wanted to split a pizza, but were told we couldn't use our vouchers together in one order. A whole pizza here is $24, which is already fairly high priced; but because we had to do separate orders for a half pizza each we ended up spending $32 total for a whole pizza. Quite frankly, it's exploitative and greedy. Until this policy changes, our group will be playing elsewhere for our weekly magic. UPDATE: The owner's response to this was to explain the entire business model and how if he let customers spend their $10 voucher however they wanted, he would have to charge double that for people to play there, and then force people to get a $20 voucher on top of that. Well Jared, I may not be able to understand the mental gymnastics it takes to justify extortion of your customers, but I can see greed when it appears. They sell everything from books to board games to puzzles and many more. There's a whole section dedicated to anime and graphic novels as well. They also carry movies on DVD. They also have shelves exclusive to paperbacks as well. They also have books on nonfiction, Sci-Fi, Mysteries and Thrillers. They sell books at thrifty prices and they give you store credit if you're loyal to this small business shop. We support bookstores and small businesses!

All books are 3$ and they accept donations (if you have any books bopping around your home that you mine want to part with)! I went out today as an excuse to get out of the house. The gentleman behind the counter and I use that term incredibly loosely was reprehensible. After making my purchase I made some small talk and found myself on the other end of an appalling polemic. He proceeded to belittle women in the workplace and specifically in management and made very disparaging comments about African American families. I won't repeat what was said but as a human being I was appalled at his views of black families in our society and as the father of a 5 year old girl I was appalled at his attitude toward women. I will no longer do business with Craftec Discount Hobbies and I felt like I needed to share my experience so others would know the quality of the man behind the counter. I nodded until I could break out of the conversation politely and left but I regret not telling him how I felt. I didn't want to cause an argument with someone who wouldn't understand why i was upset.

Most of the time I can find what I need. The guys that work there are mostly kids or young men and women and usually don't know anything about electronics so you have to be prepared when you go in. I think radio shack has become mostly about selling cell phones so it's not like it used to be. I hear that Radio Shack headquarters is going to have to close a few hundred stores so I'm hoping this won't be one of them. It has served me well for many years. I miss the old days when they had the battery club. LOL They gave you a card for free and you could pick out one free battery a month. They would punch the card each time you picked one up. I used to get a free 9 volt every month.

She was awesome!!, took care of everyone of my friends and family members when they need any electronic device or accessories. She is now a manager close to her home of New York, of which she will be greatly missed. So now I have made friends with a sales associate named Kyle. As young as he is, to me he is the male version of Victoria. Took great care of my mom when she got her iPhone 6 upgrade. According to my mom even though the store was busy he took care of her and the customers. Showing her how to work the phone. Oh boy now my mom is the texting queen, Selfies and all! Yikes!! Radio shack is still my favorite store for all me electronic accessories and phone upgrades.
