Its sad that it had to come to this but here's what happened. I contacted their comic store after I…read moresaw that they made a post about buying Funko Pop collections. I asked if they are buying all categories of pops since I know for a while they weren't buying Marvel, DC, Star Wars etc.. He responded and I quote "Yes, We will buy it all". I was glad to hear that and I responded that I would make it there in a week or so since I needed to make arrangements for babysitter & vehicle for transporting the pops. They next responded to call before I show up just to make sure they are still purchasing Funko pops , which I said that I understood. I called a few days ahead, and then called again a day after to remind them I was bringing a 500 piece collection on Saturday morning at 10am. They said that's fine and we will make sure someone is there to help you. I spent hours packing the pops into several boxes and getting them into the van. I was able to borrow a van from someone and find a babysitter last minute so I could do this on my only day off since it was a 4 hour round trip. I drive to their store and tell them I'm the one who called several times and messaged them about my pop collection for sale. The says okay but we are not buying marvel, DC, Star Wars, etc.& that they were not buying any pops over 4" which nobody told me before that moment. I was so baffled that I couldn't believe I heard what he just said to me after all of the communication we had for several days. He said they recently purchased too many pops and are only looking for certain ones. which is fine but why didn't they tell me that in the first place? They obviously have every right to buy whatever they want but to do this to people is just wrong. Then the worker (who was rude in my opinion) made negative remark about every pop that I decided to bring in. I only brought in 2 small boxes at first just to give them an idea of what I had. The guy actually wanted me to lug in all 500 pops so he could cherry pick what he wanted after everything they did to me that morning. After I left I messaged their Facebook account to express my displeasure and all he said was that he was sorry for the mixup. he didnt try to rectify it in anyway or make good on what happened (which I would have respected greatly). I never write reviews like this ever and I'm mad I even have to write it since it seems like a cool place but it just wasn't right what they did, that's bad business.

4 stars alone for the Funko pop selection which was vast! Great choices decent pricing we really…read moreonly came for these so can only speak to them but big store full of other fans fav options as well

Awful experience. If I could leave a 0, I would. Arrogant, smug customer service…read more Came in to trade in a killer bundle I got in an estate. GameCube bundle, with 2 GC systems (admittedly one without cables, but both fully operations), something like 20 GC (run of the mill) games, 2 memory cards, 2 Gameboy adapters CIB with the discs, 5 controllers, wireless adapter, along with some vintage Gameboy Advance boxes for some premium games. Probably if parsed, an $800 value. Understanding the place has to make money on it, guy offers me "like $100 bucks". Ridiculous offer, like I was a crackhead. The unfortunate part is, I've been here several times, and enjoy the selection, and the prices on the used stuff are good. But after being treated like a junkie looking for fast cash, I'll never come back. Thing is, I was willing to use this as trade-in value to put BACK into the store. Called around locally, and got several better offers, and proceeded to even go onto sellmygames.com and had an offer for $450 for everything. Thanks GameXChange, but I'll go to Stateline, ebay, or for that matter, FB marketplace... anywhere else. Avoid at all cost. Oh, and I copied in their website pic, offering the best in trade-in. Might want to change that GameXchange, since that's obviously not the case. Manage and train your people. Happy to discuss if this was just a blip on the radar.

Dan had a great playlist. It was definitely nicer and cleaner than the Wallingford location. I used to love this place. Dan and Renna are amazing. But apparently this company doesn't value their employees. Ever since the assistant manager from Wallingford has been here it's been a nightmare. I had terrible experiences with Wallingford but apparently this store is turning into the same atmosphere as Wallingford. I do not plan to shop here anymore. A once amazing gaming store with an amazing store manager is now just a mediocre store with overpriced games and items. I shopped here because I liked the environment and customer service. You have messy workers who tell company business. I'm very disappointed. I've attached a pic of a console and game that I bought while Dan worked there. It's memories like this you can't replace. Not many workers are knowledgeable of retro games.

I went out today as an excuse to get out of the house. The gentleman behind the counter and I use that term incredibly loosely was reprehensible. After making my purchase I made some small talk and found myself on the other end of an appalling polemic. He proceeded to belittle women in the workplace and specifically in management and made very disparaging comments about African American families. I won't repeat what was said but as a human being I was appalled at his views of black families in our society and as the father of a 5 year old girl I was appalled at his attitude toward women. I will no longer do business with Craftec Discount Hobbies and I felt like I needed to share my experience so others would know the quality of the man behind the counter. I nodded until I could break out of the conversation politely and left but I regret not telling him how I felt. I didn't want to cause an argument with someone who wouldn't understand why i was upset.

My friends and I go 2-4 times a month to play commander. There's a table pass system in which you spend $10 and get a voucher that lets you stay and play and can be exchanged for $10 off of a purchase. This is fair and we've never had a problem with this. We typically end up spending ~$20-$30 each when we come and play anyway (more when we buy sets). The problem is how this voucher is limited in its use. My friend and I wanted to split a pizza, but were told we couldn't use our vouchers together in one order. A whole pizza here is $24, which is already fairly high priced; but because we had to do separate orders for a half pizza each we ended up spending $32 total for a whole pizza. Quite frankly, it's exploitative and greedy. Until this policy changes, our group will be playing elsewhere for our weekly magic. UPDATE: The owner's response to this was to explain the entire business model and how if he let customers spend their $10 voucher however they wanted, he would have to charge double that for people to play there, and then force people to get a $20 voucher on top of that. Well Jared, I may not be able to understand the mental gymnastics it takes to justify extortion of your customers, but I can see greed when it appears. I will not be feeding this greedy toad and would not recommend anyone else does. (:
