Though it's been a couple of years since we went here, I wasn't impressed with the food then. I took a chance. The clams and/or the white sauce had turned. It was supposed to be a white wine butter garlic sauce, that didn't taste like any one of the ingredients. Instead, it was sort of a gelatinous lemon tanted flavored clear looking sauce. The pasta texture was the only reason I ate some of it, and I was very hungry. The service was fine, the woman pleasant and kind. Their pizza looks fine and the brussel sprouts were good. Only three stars for not having fresher food ie white sauce and/or clams and again heading to the bathroom with residual bubble gut. Stick with the pizza or plan pasta. I don't care for the actor much so the motif isn't an attraction but do like the bar set up, outside seating and TVs. read more

I really do love going to this hidden gem in Mesa, Arizona. Pacino's REAL Italian is exactly what it says it is. When I walked in, I was greeted promptly and with a smile. I was given a menu that was in bigger print than most restaurants which made it easier for these aging eyes to see. I went in at about 6:00 pm and thought happy hour was over. To my surprise it wasn't. I quickly ordered a a savory dish called, "Eggplant Rollatini". read more

SO GOOD! I ordered spaghetti Alfredo with added veggies- and our table shared the brussel sprouts app. The food is authentic & the family owned, scratch made feel of the place is awesome. They make their pasta in-house. Will definitely be back! read more

Great atmosphere! Owners Frank & Alicia treat you like a guest in their home. Happy hour 7 days a week! (I almost don't want to share what a gem this place is, so I can keep it to myself.) The meatball sliders are amazing, and there's a pork chop with polenta on the Happy Hour menu for only $7!! My parents are regulars here now, and I can see why. If I lived closer I would be too! All in all, a great place for homemade Italian dishes (and desserts) that is perfect for the area! read more

Our server was the only good part of our meal. Food was bad. Music across the street was nice.

Great people, great food and service. The team here is making a lot of positive efforts to create a positive experience. We have been coming here for a couple of weeks and the food has been good... as in we came from Chicago and frequented Rose Bud's, good. I love that the team here is trying hard to make a good restaurant a great restaurant. It's not easy but you can tell this group has heart and that makes for an amazing experience. Amy and Cody are awesome bar tenders too. read more

We went here for brunch after church, and really enjoyed it. The food is top notch, and the atmosphere is friendly- its a place you can enjoy some wine and a great meal, but still bring your kids. Chef Danny even came out afterward to check how we enjoyed our meals! In addition, Frank the owner is almost always present, you can tell he really cares that folks are well taking care of. No place is perfect, but Pacino's is definitely a neighborhood gem worth supporting, especially during this difficult time. Try it out, you won't be disappointed. read more

I drive for GrubHub and the hostess there with long dark hair was an absolute angel. She went above and beyond to help with an issue relating to their order system and as long as I've worked in restaurants and nightclubs, she is one of the best. I don't know your name but you deserve a pay raise or promotion! 12/10 customer service and the food here is phenomenal read more

I was so happy we decided to have our one years old birthday party at Pacino's. Randall was the best. He helped us navigate the menu including some gluten free options We had a charcuterie board and Mussels Arriabiatta for appetizers, they were terrific! Pacino's was upbeat fun and delicious I highly recommend it to anyone for a great night out. read more

Good breakfast/ brunch after church today. No wait. Great service. Unique menu. Variety of drinks. Try it out!

First off the food is excellent, but you can tell that they must be trying to cut costs when you order take out. Portions are smaller when you order takeout and this is not a one-off mistake. People can't complain or return their food when Uber eats or take out food is ordered. So just be aware that this happens. This is not a one time occurrence. This is from dining in and ordering for many years. I get it, I did it when I ran my restaurant. The owner Frank is always there as good owners are. If you want a successful restaurant you need to be there all the time and he is always visible talking to guests and keeping an eye on his business. Atmosphere is great(live music, karaoke, other stuff) and staff are always friendly. I just can't give them 5 stars because of the takeout issue. Other than that I would have to say it is one of the best Italian restaurants in the East Valley. Food is consistent other than portions. Great wine & beer selection. Great specials. Just give them a try. You won't be sorry. read more

Love this local Italian restaurant!!! Frank is great and tries very hard to please. Great food!

Maleshah was a fantastic waitress ! Pacino's has a Great happy hour! So glad weather is getting better

Difficult to give an accurate rating until I try some of there other dishes. I had the Portobello Mushroom Ravioli for dinner. I would give it a C+ based on having the same entree at Italian restaurants in La Jolla CA and NYC NY. Yes I understand this is Mesa Arizona and not a thriving big city with higher expectations. My first impression is that this establishment does not cater to the discerning foodie of Italian cuisine. The typical clientele are very casually dressed locals and seniors. My wife and I felt like one of the younger couples at Pacino's My wife had the chicken Marsala and enjoyed it. She gave it a B for flavor and presentation. next time we visit Pacino's i will try the Chicken Cacciatore or Marsala and see. Overall, I would say panino's is worth a try. The atmosphere is pleasant and they had a live band playing 60s music ( Van Morrison and cat Stevens) The servers are pleasant and accommodating which is important for customers experiences. All and all it was a pleasant evening dinner with my wife, which is most important. read more

The food was really good. My husband and I got the tour of Italy and the lobster ravioli and shared. The lobster ravioli was my favorite, yummy ravioli tossed with shrimp in a delicious creamy sauce, but all 3 entrées on the other plate were good too. Our waitress forgot to bring us bread, so I'm hoping it's good, because we'll definitely be back. We finished our meal with a lemon cake that was light and easy to finish off... all by myself... Our waitress said they have Karaoke on Tues and Friday nights, so we'll be back with the teenagers because it's hard to find family friendly karaoke. There was a guy tuning his guitar and playing a little at the end of the night. My little ones got up to dance to the music and he was so nice, he let them come up and play with him. read more

Popped in for a drink. Got not one, but two refills of martini water. Paid $22 for old non-top-shelf liquor. If there is one drink you should never water down, it's gin. Dive bar drinks at five star prices. Thanks for the watered down gin. read more

We love this restaurant. Clean open fresco or inside with the open kitchen dinning room we always get outstanding service and excellent cuisine here. One of the better wine list in the area. Date night on Tuesdays are a great deal that we look forward too. One of my favorite restaurants for sunset dinning outdoors in Mesa. read more

Nice from outside and nice inside. We went for lunch. The food was excellent. We had chopped antipasto salad, chicken piccata, and chicken fettuccine Alfredo w basil. The plates were large even at lunch and barely fit on the table. Outdoor seating area also. Prices at lunch were very fair. Service was great. Restroom needs some help it isn't too appetizing. read more

Relatively new to the area, my daughter and I had driven by Pacino's many times and thought we'd give it a try. We were seated rather quickly, and the hostess took our drink orders. Eventually another waitress came to our table apologizing profusely saying she had just arrived to work and she was sorry we had to wait. Our order was taken but I waited a long time to get my salad. I specifically asked for no onions and no cucumbers however the waitress was already at our table when she noticed that they were onions and cucumbers on the salad, so I had to wait for her to return the salad to the kitchen. While waiting for our food I noticed that they were miscellaneous items in corners behind booths, etc. This definitely ruined the ambience. I ordered eggplant parmigiana. The portion was huge and LUKEWARM at best. The shredded mozzarella cheese did not even melt. The plate was cold, my daughter told me that the warming lamps were not lit (my back was to the kitchen), when I complained to our waitress she informed me that the heat lamps were broken. The "eggplant" was apparently stuffed with mozzarella, I literally could not see the eggplant. I was so disgusted that I just had her bring me a take out box. The waitress again apologized profusely and took 20% off our bill. My suggestion: shut down the restaurant for a thorough cleaning, redecorate and hire chefs that know how to cook. I will never eat here again. read more

First time trying Pacino's...upon the recommendation of our NY Italian neighbors. I took mom and dad there today for mother's day. It definitely lived up to their fanfare! Great experience every visit the last few weeks. Food has been excellent and piping hot. Service is great, staff is very friendly. Cody and Amy were the best. Pretty decent yet a little pricey for my pocketbook. Had the eggplant and it was okay or not bad. Not memorable though. Friend had something Spivey that made me wish I had ordered that. Nice place and certainly busy for a Saturday night. read more

BEWARE! The food here is nasty. The owner knows his food is bad and does not care. They water down the salad dressing and it's clear they are stretching cheap ingredients to go as far as they can. Anyone who knows the restaurant business knows this place is in trouble. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had Response to Frank: When I complained to you and asked for my $20 back because the food was so bad you said F__k you and ran to the back of the restaurant. Your response does not reflect the way you acted on the day this happened. You were very rude and cowardly on that day. read more

Eh. We got takeout during COVID and it was fantastic. Went in for sit down...another story. Wanted to sit outside but there was a band. Annoying. There was also a band at the restaurant next door. Less than ideal. Service was good. Had a pretty reasonably priced bottle of wine, but the food, well it was eh. Not bad, but it did not rock my world. All in all, the two restaurants should close the area between them and share a band. Food, well - it was average. The desserts were good! We will go back for another try! read more

I must have covid because NOTHING tasted good here including the wine. This was the first venture out to eat after the covid and I was not impressed. The Italian wine was watered down and the eggplant was so over fried I could only eat the mozzarella cheese off of it. Pasta was angel hair but by the time I bit into it, it was mush. My boyfriend liked the Marsala but, he hadn't eaten all day so, anything would have tasted good. The patio band was great. Waitress was great ... food sucked read more

We were in the area and looking for a new restaurant to try. We checked out Yelp and found Pacino's. We arrived about 5:15 on a Friday evening and saw a lot of people out on the patio. When we walked in, we saw about 1/2 of the tables were empty, so we thought we would be sat immediately, but we weren't. We were giving a 10-15 minute wait. There is really no place to wait inside so we waited alone outside. Once we got our table we were sat right next to the kitchen counter. I wasn't too thrilled with that because there was a lot of movement being there and considering the place was pretty empty, I thought that was an interested choice. Service was good, but what I think I liked most about this place is that they are not playing music. Most restaurants play loud music and this causes people to have to talk loudly and then it makes the entire restaurant loud. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't silent, but I was able to hear my family's conversation and I enjoyed it. My daughter and I shared the Fettuccini Alfredo and added chicken. After adding a lot of salt, it was good. My husband got the Little Ears and he really enjoyed it. We have decided we would come back, but I would try something different. read more

Have been to Pacinos probably 10-12 times in the past year. Service is always good and friendly. The food is hit or miss depending who is in the kitchen that night. If you go when the main chef is there everything is pretty good. If you go when the second string cook is there well pretty much just the opposite, really not good at all. Wish the food was a little more consistent. Try and go on the weekends, believe you will be much happier with quality of the food. read more
