If you're looking for the highest quality in service , design and value, Mitch is your guy. I've used him multiple times for two decades and he always over delivers. And he is the nicest!!!!! A big shout out to Daniel, his installer, who is uber professional and a pleasure to have work in your home. read more

Mitch did almost our entire home & he was amazing to work with. We moved into a new home in 2021 and during the height of the pandemic, he was able to get shades and draperies within a few months. He has great taste, easy to work with, on time and even had his installer, Daniel (who is also amazing) come back several times just to make everything perfect. We've been going through a nightmare kitchen remodel and the experience with Mitch was the exact opposite - easy, enjoyable and reliable. I highly recommend!! read more

Mitch and his team saved us and this review was long overdue. We were impacted by the pandemic and everything that came along with it including the supply chain issues in 2021 when we had decided to get new window coverings for the entire home. We called around and no one was willing to take us on due to high demands. However, Mitch was different, like others he also had a packed schedule BUT he let us know that upfront and asked us if we can be flexible with our schedule. Totally appreciated that upfront and since we had some flexibility, the entire thing worked for us. He came out the same week after we made the initial reach out and boy first impression, wow Mitch was full of energy and full of creative ideas. We knew we hit the jackpot! When he came back the second time around with fabric samples, we knew it was real and became excited. Shortly after we placed the orders, we found out that some of the fabric and shades were delayed due to the supply chain and Mitch kept us informed the entire time on the status of them. If something came faster than he had original thought, he made sure we knew that too by text or a call. We decided on Roman Shades for our front windows and mostly roller shades and we made a few of them motorized. You must try the motorized shades, we cannot live with out it now. The entire package was reasonably priced and the quality of the fabric and shades were great. The best part is you get a creative mind like Mitch to walk through options, matching colors with your existing furniture, and service with a smile. Thank you Mitch and his team for everything and please give them a try! read more

I've been an interior designer and professional organizer for, let's just say, many, many years, and I need to have vendors who are excellent at what they do because I'm putting myself on the line when I tell my clients to hire a specific company. Working with Mitch has ALWAYS been a positive experience. I trust that he'll show up to a meeting on time, be prepared to discuss any window covering challenge and come up with just the right solution. He's professional, knowledgeable and fun. In a nutshell he makes me look good because I've suggested him to my clients, who also love working with him. Thank you Mitch for years of excellent service. Gwen McClure Place It read more

Excellent is the only way to describe Pacific View and Mitch. As an interior designer, he has worked with me on both commercial and residential projects for over 25 years. He is both professional and knowledgeable of the industry, and a great pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Pacific View. read more

I recently bought my very first apartment and promised myself I wasn't going to cheap out on anything. And so for the first time in my life, just duct taping a sheet over my windows wasn't going to cut it. I turned to yelp and decided on Pacific View Window Coverings. Thank you Yelp and Mitch of Pacific View. Mitch makes everything custom for your windows, needs, and taste and even figured out a way not to drill into our window frames, which is a rule at our condo and very hard to work with. He turned our order around in no time and his prices were very competitive. Plus, he's a joy to be around. I turned to him after trying to go with Home Expo. They had the worst customer service and were very pricey. I can't recommend Pacific View enough. read more

Mitch came recomended from a friend and the experience with him was excellent all around. We bought a new home and basically needed window coverings in most every room. We had an idea of what we wanted but Mitch had great ideas for options that we didn't even concider. He was also very open to staying within the budget and even recommended Ikea or BB and Beyond in a few cases where it made more sense. When the installer came, he was right there with him, ensuring the job was done correctly. In one room, he came back to fix what the installer did wrong! Seriously, great service and would use him again every time. read more

Mitch rocks! Hands down the best vendor we used when we were renovating our home. His prices were better than the competition, the quality of stuff he recommended is impeccable and he has a fantastic taste. If you are serious about window coverings, this is the only guy to call. We ended up using him for a living room and four bedrooms. We get daily compliments from people about how beautiful our curtains look. I wish everyone we dealt with were as good as Mitch when it comes to taking their jobs seriously. read more

I wish every service company had a person like Mitch. He was super nice and very responsive with questions and emails. I highly recommend Pacific View for their customer service. The strings of the roman shades in our apartment had broken, so our landlords handy man took them here. I am not sure if Pacific View had previous relations with the handy man, but Mitch took the initiative to work with him with my available times to install the repaired shades. I am not entirely sure if their pricing is competitive ($330 for restringing one large and one small roman shade), but if you're like me that likes to pay for convenience versus shopping for prices, this is the place, as Mitch will take care of you! read more

Mitch is such a class act, and every day I still feel so lucky to have found him. I moved into a high rise condo at the end of last year, and had no idea what I was doing. The floors were ripped up and my place had not yet been painted, but in walked Mitch who understood what I needed without me even really knowing what to ask for. He guided me on what type of blind to choose, the color, and where to hang the motorized ones vs manual. He also hung in there with me when things got complicated with my contractors. He was always rooting for me, and I don't think I've ever worked with someone more responsive, upbeat, and kind. The blinds are now installed (expertly I may say, thanks to Daniel) and I couldn't be more pleased. read more

Mitch was amazing. Fun to work with, and really understood our style and worked with us. We love all the window coverings. Our house looks like a home now! Thanks Mitch! read more

I can't say enough about Mitch!!! We were in the middle of a renovation. Naturally foreseeing the end, sooner than later, I had Mitch come help me choose some shades. He climbed around boxes to measure and help me envision what I wanted. My shades were ready on time. Of course construction took twice as long as estimated. Mitch was so patient, no problem storing until we were ready. In the meantime, we had ordered a shade for another room. His installer, Daniel, was amazing. Edgar came for our final installation. Same as Daniel, so pleasant. Asking before drilling for placement of cord holders. Important when you've just renovated and don't want holes placed just anywhere. I really can not recommend Mitch enough!! He and his installers are just so pleasant to work with! read more

I just finished a HUGE project with Mitch, and it was executed flawlessly! Mitch is a joy to work with - always fun, knowledgeable, and professional. He is now part of my A-team for interior design projects needing window treatments, and there is no need to go anywhere else. Mitch is the BEST! read more

Mitch is an extremely professional and courteous seller and installer of window treatments. Mitch installed custom roller shades in my loft. He always arrives on time, is well prepared, has excellent suggestions, and explains exactly all the important little details. If you are a novice at ordering custom shades or curtains, you should definitely use Mitch. He will make sure you are well informed and satisfied to the very end. We had a minor glitch with our shades shortly after install, totally operator error, and Mitch came out at no charge to fix it and explain what happened. I tried going with another company before Mitch and the difference was night and day between the two. I strongly recommend him! read more

I contacted four 5* companies specializing in window coverings because I want new shades for my condo living room. This is the only company that responded. Mitch, the opener, said at the moment he wasn't taking new appointments but he did make a referral. Very friendly and professional customer service. I would definitely contact him again if I am in the market. The others - no chance. read more

Mitch was too busy to take my small project (I just need a Roman shade for one of the windows in my living room. But he wrote a nice message back detailing why and gave me a referral for someone else he knows in the business. 5 stars for being nice, elaborating in detail and for being courteous. Which is more than I can say for some others that just rejected the project with no note. read more

I found Mitch on yelp when I was at my wits end with the other two companies I was working with. One was constantly MIA, the other came to our house and we couldn't get her out. Mitch was amazing, from returning my call, to making time for me on a Saturday during his busy schedule. I told Mitch exactly what I was looking for and what I am interested in. He came to our house with exactly what I told him I was interested in, after dealing with the other two companies, this was definitely refreshing. Mitch had a fantastic selection of rollers from hunter douglas, I believe it was the latest. The best part was Mitch helped me pick the right shades to match my furniture and home decor. Mitch also picked my roman shade in the kitchen, its just beautiful. Everyone always asks where we got our window treatments, and I highly recommend Mitch. During installation, Mitch drove to oversee if the shades are properly installed, when he saw something he didn't like he know how to fix it. We even ran into a situation where I was being overly picky, and Mitch would show up at my house with options, and he was not willing to give up until I was happy. I can't rave enough about Mitch, and he needs more than 5 stars. I'm so happy I found him on yelp, and plan to keep recommending Mitch to anyone who needs window treatments. read more

Mitch is a force of nature. He really knows his stuff and is passionate about finding the perfect design for his customers. He went over tons of options and brought us to an ideal outcome. And he did his in record time because he knew we were pressed for time that day. He then kept us updated throughout the ordering and installation process and was very responsive. There were a couple of mishaps during the installation process which he worked to remedy quickly and was very apologetic about. I highly recommend Mitch, he's terrific! read more

We couldn't be happier with our new blinds. Mitch and his team were hands down more knowledgeable, dedicated, and service oriented than any other company we considered. And the results show! His materials were also nicer and seemed more current than some other places in town. He provided his own unique vision and suggestions during the consultation. At the same time, he was also very open to our ideas and offered guidance to make them better. Mitch kept us posted throughout the process and followed up to make sure we were pleased. Our new custom blinds are are great addition to our new home. read more

This is a caveat to Yelpers that I don't have much experience with window covering shops (unlike restaurants)--only three before contacting Pacific View Window Coverings who outperformed the rest. I usually stick with a good supplier, but my original window coverings firm moved farther down the peninsula and stopped servicing San Francisco. I was not very pleased with two others after that. The last before this, a prominent store on Polk, provided a glib and affable salesman who recommended I go with a more expensive product because it was "made in USA" and would be ready 3 weeks earlier. After 2.5 months the only response I could get from the store was that it was at the mercy of the East Coast manufacturer and there was no ETA on my window coverings. After that, the shop's installer, who was based in north Marin, did a good job, but left behind all the packaging and upset my remodeling contractor. Not wanting to call that shop again I resorted to Yelp. It was easy to find the favorite window covering shop in San Francisco. Although skeptical I made an appointment and Mitch, after phoning from his car to let me know he was within 10 minutes of my address, showed up with a heavy bag of samples. He did not carry the brand I had read about, but explained the differences--primarily that the other was for commercial use, bulkier and contracted in a different way. Mitch was able to address each of my concerns and brought up others I had not considered. My windows are aggregated in one wide band that faces east. I like the view and wanted to minimize blocking it. We discussed options for materials, insulation, colors and spacing and he talked me out of my preference for greater transparency. I was concerned when Mitch explained that he would not be involved in the installation. That reminded me of the previous firm I engaged--the disconnect between sales, supply and service. He assured me that the person who would do the installation was professional, thorough and would not mind lugging everything up 6 flights of stairs (the window covering components we decided on being too long for the elevator). On installation day I was worried about all that could go wrong. Edgar, the installer, arrived and asked to see the elevator to double check the dimensions. After confirming that his components were too long he did not complain about having to carry everything up the inhospitable emergency staircase. Once inside he was indeed professional as well as pleasant and, similar to Mitch, conversational and knowledgable (even about good places for breakfast). Before finishing he showed me where he thought indicators on the pulls should go and wanted my agreement. He even demonstrated how to operate them--not too quickly or roughly. This happened nearly 2 months ago, so my review is tardy. But the interval has given me an opportunity to confirm that Mitch was right to talk me into a more opaque material. It's translucent enough for visibility, but reduces sun penetration to an acceptable level. From hereon my first choice for window coverings is Pacific View with its excellent duo of Mitch and Edgar. read more

Mitch is awesome. He brings design sensibility. He's meticulous with the measurements. His follow-through is fantastic. His installer is a pro. I've done multiple projects with Mitch ranging from rollers to HunterDouglas shades to custom drapes, and they've all come out perfect. read more

All of the glowing reviews are absolutely true. Mitch is your man for window treatments. My custom drapes were finally installed today, and I cannot be happier about how the entire process went. I recently moved into a new top-floor unit with 16-foot+ ceilings and floor-to-ceiling angled windows. I had some estimates for window treatments done prior to calling Mitch, and everyone definitely agreed it was going to be a challenge (and quite costly, to boot). Mitch came in initially for a free in-home evaluation, and the estimate was more than competitive. Once I decided to move forward, he came back for detailed measurements and fabric selection (Mitch is a fountain of excellent design advice). He kept me updated while the fabric and hardware was out on order, and was always prompt and responsive via phone and email. Everything came in under schedule, and his installers were efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. Mitch came in the morning of the installation to get things started, and came back afterwards to inspect the final work. The drapes look fantastic. Mitch is a class act all the way. We found Mitch via his excellent Yelp ratings, and he exceeded our expectations. At all times he was professional and prompt, whether it was responding to our initial inquiry via Yelp or checking in with us on the day of our installation. He's also a genuinely warm and friendly person, who listens carefully to his clients and whose first concern is meeting his customers' needs. He made excellent suggestions and even pointed us towards lower cost options. If only every contractor approached customer service the way that Mitch does! read more

Love our new sun shades! Our office looks cleaner and the sun is no longer blinding us in the afternoon. Mitch was very helpful and easy to reach the few times I had questions. We'd gotten an estimate from another company for the same job that cost almost twice as much; with Pacific we got exactly what we wanted at the right price. Thanks Mitch and Edgar! read more

Mitch truly takes pride in his work and is so organized. He really has a great eye for what will work and understands people's budget constraints. I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable his fees were and he and his workmen did a fantastic job with the installation given how crooked and janky my windows are. I would recommend him highly to anyone. In retrospect, I wish I had splurged a bit more and got a "premium" fabric for my window shades, however, I am super happy with how they look as-is. Mitch is super cheerful and friendly - very high energy! read more

EVERY excellent review you read about Mitch and his company, "Pacific View Window Coverings" is SO totally true. I can't say enough great things about this company. I have been searching for the perfect window coverings for the past year to no avail. I read the very positive reviews of Mitch on yelp, and decided to give him a call. BEST decision EVER!!! In one visit, Mitch surveyed my condo and nailed the exact product for my particular tastes, needs AND budget!!! Two weeks later, Edgar, the installer arrived during my lunch hour and installed everything from bedroom to living room to absolute perfection. After removing the old installations, he and his crew even thoroughly cleaned the area, before proceeding to install the new ones... WOW!!! I could not be more pleased with every aspect of this process thanks to Mitch and his company! read more

Look no further...Mitch is your man! My husband and I moved into our new place about a year and half ago. We had absolutely no window coverings and could not wait to replace our make shift bed sheet shades with real ones. After reading such fantastic reviews for Pacific View, we thought we would give Mitch a try. Mitch's eye for design was apparent while we were brainstorming on possible treatment options. He worked within (and even below) our budget as well as with our aggressive time line. He checked in with us periodically to keep us posted on the status of when the shades/drapes would be available. Once they came in, Mitch's installation colleague came by and was very professional and efficient while setting up our new high quality window coverings. Not only is Mitch awesome for following up with us after the installation to see how we were enjoying our new window covers, but he had mailed us a handwritten "thank you for doing business with him" note! I would definitely do business with him again!! Thank you, Mitch! read more

Mitch is absolutely fantastic. If you need your windows done, pick up the phone and call him now! Mitch comes to your pad with loads of fabric samples, and discusses options for each window you want dressed. What I love about Mitch is his complete honesty and sense of style. No pressure to buy all the high end fabrics or dress any windows you don't want - he works with you to find the perfect fit for your needs, taste and budget. He really cares about making sure you are happy with your decisions - even after installation. Our windows are drop dead gorgeous, better than if we Home Depot-ed or Pottery Barn-ed it ourselves, and not as expensive as we thought it'd be for custom dressings. I highly, highly recommend Pacific View! read more

Pacific View Window Coverings still has my back after all these years! I purchased shades in 2003. The motorised track has started to fail. The shades themselves are still in pretty good shape. I've worked with Mitch twice now, on two separate home decorating projects, and each time was a dream. Not only is Mitch an incredibly sweet, fun-loving, honest and caring person, but his taste is flawless and his execution impeccable. This last time around, I was at the end of a major house remodel and exhausted. As anyone who's remodeled knows, window treatments are at the tail-end of a lengthy punch list, and by that time (after selecting faucets and tiles and paint colors, oh my), I simply couldn't look at another catalog, and my metal tape measure was literally bent out of shape from overuse. Enter Mitch, with his boxes of fabric swatches, spot-on instincts, and positive attitude. He walked into each room of the house, dug through thousands of swatches, and quickly narrowed my choices down to a few beautiful options that I could ponder for a couple days. A couple weeks after we placed our order, Mitch's team of expert installers arrived on the scene and did an an awesome job. We ended up with the perfect colors and textures for each room, in styles that blend with our surrounding decor and achieve the mood we were hoping to create. Bottom line, Mitch will forever be my go-to guy for window treatments. I would tell you not to tell anyone about him, lest the word get out, but judging from all these amazing Yelp reviews, I'm afraid that ship has sailed. Thank you, Mitch, for being such an inspiring talent and all-around wonderful human being. And I apologize for not writing this review sooner! read more

After an extensive remodel of our home (kitchen, bathrooms, paint, etc.), Mitch was for and away the best contractor we worked with. He is the consummate professional: always responsive, well-informed, on time and conscientious. Based on his other Yelp reviews, this was our expectation upon hiring him. However, once we ran into an unexpected issue with our order, Mitch went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make it right.
