We've been using STEM Tutors for almost 3 years now, and basically, here is what we like and don't like: 1. The pricing is super reasonable. They have not raised their prices on the tutoring costs for our two kids in the last two years. We are super grateful for the discounts they've provided us to help keep the cost down for the both of our high schoolers. 2. We originally needed some Algebra 1 help for our older daughter, but we've been providing our kids with all kinds of help. Both of our kids have had straight A's in their math classes for the last three years!!! We've also been using their English tutors, and Marco has been super awesome for English. 3. Our kids' grades have been monitored by STEM Tutors on a weekly basis, and anything something comes up, they let us know right away so that our kids never fall behind. 4. Our daughter is currently being tutored by Sunny through their SAT Prep program, and we're confident that Jessica will do the best she can this August! I was referred to stem tutors by my precalculus teacher at Irvine Valley College and Sunny placed me with Danny Kim. Danny works around my schedule and is very flexible, he tutored me in precalculus and now calculus. He is focused and makes my success a top priority. During first summer session at IVC I took Chemistry 1A with professor Inga Kenney. Initially I struggled with the course because our professor was squeezing 16 weeks worth of material into a short 8 week class. Luckily Danny Kim was in my class and ended up tutoring me for a majority of the course, consistently reviewing cumulative material as well as working rigorously on new problems. I'm a junior in a Calculus AB and came across STEM Tutors out of the blue on the Internet when I looked up "recommended tutoring places" and I contacted them to help me with my struggle. Their service is amazingly kind and made me feel comfortable in talking them; I have never encountered such a wonderful group of people eager to help out students. My tutor, Nick, is a Math wiz and is very acknowledgable for being able to pinpoint out my pits and gaps of mistakes, does problems with me without making me feel inferior whenever I don't understand something and is always willing to answer even the simplest Math questions that is so fundamental, but I fail to comprehend. Sunny began tutoring my 8th grade son in Advanced Algebra a year ago. I taught fifteen years of high school science but decided to discontinue with the birth of my third child. My son who was in PreAlgebra this year loves Nick; he is patient and really explains things well for him. On the other hand, his twin, also in PreAlgebra, loves Danny because he challenges him and really explains things well.
