If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I signed my daughter up for their summer math program hoping to give her a head start heading into 2nd grade. I paid their $800 fee up front, made our first appointment through their system and showed up. They had no idea who we were and why we were there. Apparently she needed to finish up her assessment which we had almost completed the first time we went to the location. We were told by the person there that Robert tends to tell parents the assessment is much shorter to complete than it is to get them into the facility. She completed the assessment during the session and while I was talking with the person there, he proceeded to shout back to another child to do their work. My daughter was so uncomfortable the entire time she was there, and once I witnessed this interaction, there was no way I felt comfortable with her attending. I emailed the location and explained my experience and asked for a refund since no services had been rendered - only the initial assessment. I received a phone message from Robert stating we would be refunded yet after another 6 weeks, we still saw no credit on our account. I contacted them again and then received an e-mail from Robert that our refund request had actually be declined by 'ownership' and he offered to put a credit towards 1:1 tutoring or their school year program. I told him tutoring during the school year does not work for us because our daughter is highly involved in sports and there's no room in her schedule once her fall season starts and requested the owners' direct contact information. I received another voicemail message from Robert stating again that my refund request has been declined and my only way forward is to call my credit card company and ask for a charge back from the facility. What absolutely terrible customer service. Now I'm still fighting with them for a refund and again asked for the owner's contact information which I still have not been provided. I even called the number and received an answer from a call center and they too would not provide it. I would caution anyone looking to sign your child up you give it good thought. Once you pay them, you will NOT get your money back regardless of your experience. read more

I recently registered my 5th grader for 6 months of tutoring with Mathnasuim, 2 weeks into the program and I am extremely impressed with the quality of instruction they provide her with. After 2 short weeks she has stated she loves going, the instructors are incredibly skilled at making common core understandable and are kind. My daughter looks forward to going to school as her confidence is increased and she is now improving in her other subjects as well. It goes to show if a child is struggling in one point of school they struggle in all points of school. Had I known this would create the improvements I am seeing in my child I would have registered her last year. This is such a valuable asset to kids so much so if I did not have the money to pay for it I would take a second job just to pay for it. Worth every last penny. Cheers read more

You would not believe but our child thinks that this is a huge reward to go here and work on math problems for one hour. Great progress, he is above his grade already. Tutors are friendly and smart. Robert - the center manager is amazing, very client-oriented and works with kids as well. If you make it at least twice a week - the monthly payments will be very reasonable. Yes, we have math online as well, but we keep Mathnasium because of the strong positive environment, and unique personal impact. We want our child to be surrounded by hard-working peers. read more

We highly recommend Mathnasium. Our son was struggling in 7th grade pre-algebra, and the staff at Mathnasium worked with him on a learning plan. In addition, his primary Tutor, Darcy, spent time reviewing his study guide with him, which was really helpful when studying for his exams. Thank God for Mathnasium! My 12 year old son has struggled with math and has been going there for 4 years now and he has improved significantly. The way they taught math when I was young is so different from how they learn it today. Now my 9 yr old daughter goes there too. I love how they assess the kids several times a year and gives me a comprehensive report which I send to their teachers. Kapil and Darcy are wonderful to work with and they even communicate with my children's teachers so they could be in sync and cohesive in what my children are learning at school. Mathnasium has been very beneficial for my son. I started him her about 2 years ago in the spring so he wouldn't forget too much over the summer. His math grades and scores on standardized tests continue to improve. They help him with his Algebra homework, a task which I am happy to relinquish, and also make sure he is mastering every skill along the way. Poor management. Kids just talking to each other and eating loly pops ( are paying for this)!!!. I sent my kids to this center for one year.every few months they sent me a progress report that my kids are master in these areas. In Summer i wanted to test my son to see how much he knows after one year. He had hard time to all that areas that they told me he is master. This center and two or three belong one owner and is more expensive than other Mathnasium. They charge $200 for placement but lake forest wont charge you. I know 5 families that left this center before us and now I know why they lost a lot students. After they understand you are not happy and you want to leave center, they eliminate your account , because they don't want you write your review on their web site. Just be careful , don't waist you kids time and your money ,and DO NOT CONTRACT with them. All their promises are base on LIE!!!!!! read more
