PTCH College offers great programs. I completed the CNA and RNA certificate. I completed my program in December 2015. Passed the state exam very easily thanks to how well prepared and organized the program is. The staff is really nice. When you first call you will talk to Andrea, when you go in you will see Andrea. Andrea is the sweetest, nicest person ever! She is informative, organized and truly cares about the students. She remembers your name and always has a smile, she roots for you and makes you feel welcome from the first day:) Then you will meet Julie which is Dean of the School and owner, she will talk your ear off but her stories are relevant and heart felt about the real nursing world. She inspires you to want to pursue nursing even more. I did the classes during the week and my instructor was Danielle, she is an LVN that is continuing her education. She is strict, disciplined, organized and expects a lot from her students. She complements only when deserved and only when you have truly impressed her. With her you can expect a blunt, direct and professional way of teaching. You will practice skills a lot, you will be expected to be professional and to show you care about your patients. Pay attention in class because each class ends with a test/quiz, but you truly are given all the information, so pay attention and take good notes. The test where extremely helpful and were very similar to the written state exam. Also, I suggest taking the practice test, all of them, and doing practice questions online just so you get use to the test taking aspect. Finally, this school is not as expensive as other schools and they accept financial aid, they do financing and what ever you pay you can write off in your taxes. You will get the BLS CPR American Heart Association card which is what most LVN schools require. Every week Ms Julie brings in home made food and it's delicious, they are like a family and make you feel welcome and inspire you to not stop at CNA. I am now in the LVN program at RCC and have heard some horrible stories from students who have gone to other colleges for their CNA, I am so glad I came here. I made a best friend for life and we completed CNA together and are now in LVN together. If your thinking about it, stop, and just let your nursing career begin. I believe a nurse is born not made, but with the right training you could be great! Best wishes to all:) read more
