Okay, Pacific Propane was purchased by Dassels. But about a week before that happened, a Pacific propane driver (Beau) made an extremely early delivery...we were at 30% at the time (I took a picture) and I just thought it was very odd that they were there... once I received the billing information for the delivery, I was shocked to see that I was being charged for a fill that started at 0% and ended at 100%...A FULL BILL! Coincidentally, at this time, the online history web page was taken down because they were bought out by Dassels...very convenient. Did this happen to anyone else?? in addition, there was an extra $100 rental fee when I received my first bill from Dassels. Yet I paid this fee about 4 months earlier to Pacific Propane according to a physical statement I had...When I was finally able to get an image of my history, the information I had received through my delivery receipts were in conflict with the information they sent to me. Basically the rental fee was no longer there and it was now integrated as part of the propane charge is anyone else experience anything like this? I believe there were some very disturbing business practices that took place on the weeks prior to Dassels acquisition of Pacific Propane...greed in particular. If any of this sounds familiar we should not allow go without consequences. Ouch! I wish I'd read these reviews before doing any business with them. Kama F. is so right with her review. I just got my budget "plan" and was told it was going to be nearly $250 a month. I joined SPUG (http://www.southskyline.org) and got a great deal from another company with less tank rental fees and no charge to drop the tank or pick up. Pacific Propane has to get with the program. Their "customer service" consists of demanding payment and threatening customers. Their prices are way out of line of other propane companies servicing the Santa Cruz mountain residents. One final note is that they charge $100.00 to pick up your tank when you switch out. Amerigas doesn't even charge this money. Their "customer service" person told me the money is to "close out [my] account." I guess they'll have to hire someone to do that because the current CS folks only know how to gouge and bilk customers. read more

I was a long time customer. When I moved I called them with the date 4 weeks before the move and told them the date and not to put any more gas in my tank. Came out and found the guy filling my tank 1 week later. I called them again and told them what happened a said that at the end of the month I wanted it shut off and a full refund.' 4 weeks AFTER I HAD MOVED I called as\nd ask when I would get my refund for the gas in the tank and they told me that they had no record that I had moved and that I was responsible for the gas that the new tenants had used up to that point. I final got a refund after 2 1/2 months of many calls and they said that my refund was $777.60 ... I got a check for $351.30 since they said that they had made a mistake on the amount. its unfortunate that so many people are unhappy with Pacific Propane. I became a propane customer 1 year ago when I added a on-demand LPG powered water heater. All the staff I worked with from installing the gas main (from tank to house), to the tank delivery, to the guys doing the refills have all been very polite and professional. While the staff have all mentioned that summer fills are cheaper than winter fills, i've noticed the opposite in the last year. Propane gallon cost is nearly parallel to petrol gas prices. just my own observation. LPG is a byproduct of both natural gas extraction and crude oil processing. if you live in the bay area and have propane delivered, it's likely from one of the dozen plus refineries in the BA. again, from my own observation I noticed propane cost was higher on my summer fill up than my winter. call around and ask what the per gallon cost of propane is. the several places I called (Dassels, amerigas, suburban) were all higher by $0.80-$1 per gallon! The folks at Dassels were also very helpful. the other two places I called didn't seem to care to help answer the questions I had about installing a gas line. Pacific Propane also gives a per gallon discount for having a larger tank, at last when you rent the tank through them. Billing seems to be a very sensitive topic for all propane customers. We all work hard for our money, and spending it on utilities/bills that are less tangible makes it harder to swallow. Have your home inspected for gas leaks (LP is heavier than o2 and settles under your house), thermal leaks (if you have LP heating), and have your tank based water heater checked for issues (insulation, always on, heat setting), leaks and appliance efficiencies. if you're water heater is burning $1000-$200 a year just keeping water warm, research switching to tankless. No pilot light and you only use gas when you need hot water. read more

They charge for services they never provided and then they force you to pay the bill or they will disconnect your propane tank. I have no idea why they are still in business. The main thing that sets Pacific Propane apart from other propane services is that they are able to monitor the fuel level in the tank remotely. All the other companies fill the tank based on past history of use which is fine except when the rate of propane use changes due to a cold snap, extra company in the house, more time at home due to illness or vacation, etc. For second home owners the pattern of use can be highly variable which makes past use an even more unreliable predictor. I manage several homes in the Carmel Highlands and have had empty tank problems with Suburban Propane and AmeriGas. Pacific Propane's service has been seamless. Never an empty tank! As close to being connected to natural gas pipes as you can get. Pay the bill on time and the gas will be there. Pretty much like PG&E. Customers wanting more control over deliveries and bills should probably use another provider. Pacific Propane is automatic and reliable. read more

This company will sell you a big story about how customer service is important to them... But in the end, the only thing they care about is milking customers for as much overpriced product as humanly possible... And being as vague as possible about their bill-paying programs... They will tell you to get on a monthly program, then tell you how much to pay per month, then as you near the end of the 12-month cycle, you'll get a bill saying you owe them $2,000 extra - oh & you have to pay it in the next week or they'll stop delivering gas. Even if you paid religiously - WHAT THEY TOLD YOU TO PAY EACH MONTH - they will screw you over at the last minute. Do not do business with these crooks. read more

Has anyone else used Pacific Propane operating out of Watsonville? They service the Santa Cruz Mountains, Salinas and Monterey Peninsula region. My AVERAGE monthly bill this past year has been $450/mo! I've RARELY turned the heat on except for a few chilly mornings. My water bill is lower than average in my community, so Im confident that my hot water useage follows suit. I use a Wolfe gas range and the water is heated with gas. Our home is 2300 sq ft. That's it. Anyone had experience with Pacific Propane billing gone awry? Something is seriously wrong. I'm doing a full safety check tomorrow, but I sure as heck would have smelled a gas leak. If I discover the problem is not Pacific Propane's billing, I will certainly report. read more

I'm so annoyed I didn't read these reviews before use Pacific Propane. I just got completely ripped off by them. Knowing how companies can basically charge what they like I started shopping around for prices, my tank was only down to 35% so I thought I had time. The average price I was getting for a refill was $2.30 per Gallon. So I sent an email to PP asking them the price, they didn't reply, instead without notice came out the next day and filled my tank up and charged $3.20. Criminal. Why are there not laws and consumer groups in the county (like Europe) that would stop this happening ? Edit: After much complaining they agreed to match the price I was getting from other suppliers, but said they wouldn't notify me next time I needed a refill. read more

Do not use this heartless company. They filled my tank just before Christmas (I had plenty enough to get through the holidays).I have been a responsible patron for 8 years. The bill was close to $500. I responsibly called to set up a payment plan as I wasn't prepared to put out that much unexpected money. I am self employed without paid vacation time and am looking to many unpaid days off because of where the holidays fall. I explained the money they wanted was my Christmas money for my children's presents. They said they don't do payment plans in the winter (!) And that if the bill was not paid in full by 12/31, they would come pick up the tank. There is no compassion, no flexibility, no way to deal with these rigid, frigid people. I have never received such deplorable service in my life. The woman (paula) who I have learned is an owner in this business is rude, nasty and just a miserable person. After selling our house in Soquel we decided to rent for a bit in Aptos. Having never had propane before we inquired with the owners how to handle the propane... They said lucky for you the propene was just filled, our gift to you enjoy! During our move in our gas was shut off, I called the office and Paula decided to yell at me and tell me that gas wasn't mine and I would have to pay to have it re hooked up safety checked and all the current gas in the tank, and they would not turn it on until I had paid for everything. I carefully explained to her the situation and suggested she contact the owner, she yelled at me and treated me as if I were a criminal. I have done research and their prices are higher than the going market and you deal with horrible service. The technician who came out was lovely and it seems after talking to him, my experience is typical. As soon as our gas is low enough we will switch companies and I will tell everyone I know to never do business Pacific Propane whom has an office full of nasty obviously burned out, rude people. read more

We were unhappy with our current propane company but we were moving out of the mountains, so it wasn't going to affect us. Out of goodwill towards the new home owner and to give business to a company someone had recommended, we called Pacific Propane. We explained we were moving and would not benefit from the switch (in fact we took a huge loss on the propane credit back) Pacific Propane GAVE US THEIR WORD they would not charge us the $100 closing fee in return for the business. When we received our check for the left over propane, they took out the $100. when we called them, they blew us off. THIS COMPANY DID NOT KEEP THEIR WORD. Please call them and tell them that they should keep their word. Consumer pressure works. UPDATE: I just received an email from the company and they have decided to refund the $100. I am extremely disappointed in Pacific Propane. Like others on the message board, I received a bill with higher than market rates for $600 right at Christmas time. I called to complain about the rates being $1 per gallon above market and they promised to call me back to discuss. I never received a call back so I went ahead and paid my bill in full. This week, I received an invoice stating it was past due. I called again to verify my payment on 12/30 was received as the check was cashed on 12/30. The person on the other end said I paid late and my account was prepay only from here on forward. He went on to say they do not have the best prices. He said they win on service. If I have to prepay, what service will I receive? I am upset as I had referred them to 4 other neighbors after being displeased with my previous propane provider. To put it plain and simple, my usual propane bill was 2.49$G ish. I have paid around 260$ for my last refill. A couple days ago the guy shows up nice as can be and fills my tank over 90%. Really nice guy, but hands me the bill and takes off. The price of Propane Gas has suddenly over the last two months risen to 3.99 $ G From 2.49G To 3.99G Over the last 3 months? I got handed a 600$ bill. I feel for the other patrons on here who have dealt with the same thing. I called around and found out that other places are charging 2.79 G ish. With minor fluctuations in price. When I called Pacific Propane they told me that the price of Propane fluctuates daily, and they never know what the price will be. WOW! Stuck in a year contract. I cancelled my service only to find out that they charge $100 just to cancel which I was never told. I called to question this and the man on the phone was extremely rude. My previous propane dealer, Amerigas, was awful. Last night, my tank was dry, and we had no heat in the house. I could not get a person on the phone to help me, unless I wanted to talk to billing. Billing transferred me to yet another phone tree, where there was no option for a fill request. The local office had a disconnect error on their end. I called Pacific Propane on the recommendation of a trusted friend. Within two hours of my initial call, I had a new propane tank with a sensor on it, a full tank of propane, all appliances tested and running - for LESS than HALF of what Amerigas had charged me for a propane fill only. Customer service was amazing, and knowing that I should not ever run dry again was reassuring. The installer also gave me maintenance tips for my appliances to make sure they were not using too much propane. I am very pleased. read more

We had a propane leak from our oven.PP came same day..found it and fixed it,and pointed out several other very useful/important bits of info to us around the house. We were very impressed with Kristian,and Alfredo, as are the several friends and neighbors who upon our recommendation recently switched...a very different experience then Coast/Amerigas! I cannot possibly imagine the negative YELPS..Our experience in the several years being with them has been totally POSITIVE! Believe it or not, the billing department gives better service than the sales people. Renters think twice before picking this propane provider. They will fill it up even if you tell them you don't want any. They also don't do partial fills. They filled up our tank right around Thanksgiving, even though we weren't sure if we would be moving soon. So much for our Christmas budget. read more

0 stars? They used to be decent but not any more. Save yourself the headache, they will attempt to lock you into a contract and NEVER let you out, how can that be legal? They have "automatic" fill up which they say is when the tank is down to about 15-20%, but when we called with our tank over 30% requesting they do not come for a few months so we could defer the $900 bill they came and filled the tank anyhow and have a 15 day payment policy and they charged $4.09/gal, way more than anyone we called and then wouldn't adjust the price. After that we wanted to cancel service but they say they will pick up an "empty" tank when it is down to something like 15-20%, BUT they will automatically fill a tank when it is down to 30-40% and will not skip the fill allowing you to get to the amount where they will pick up the tank, their logic is insane. There should be NO AUTO FILL when a customer is stopping service! Filed a case with BBB. Read other reviews here and on Yahoo, this appears business as usual as of late for Pacific Propane and it sounds like they will have to defend their practices in court. read more

If you could give a zero star review, I would. This company is greedy and clearly do not care about their customers. I had them for over 2 years and spent way more time on the phone with their abhorrent customer service. The real problem started about 2 weeks before Christmas after having the service for a year. I get an obscure email stating my service would be cut off in 24 hours for non-payment. What!?! I thought. I had never been late on a single payment. So I called and they said they had sent me a bill, which up to this point the bill had always been left at my front door by the service man. I asked them why they suddenly started mailing it and they had no answer plus they sent it to the wrong address even though they had the correct address on file and sent other correspondence to it in the past. I was basically verbally berated by the guy on the phone like it was my problem it was sent to the wrong address. So I paid the over $500 bill, which was well over the usual amount so I requested a copy of the bill and have never laid eyes on it even though I called 3 times to get it sent to me. Then, to add insult to injury, 2 days later and hit me with another $250, with a tank that was well above a fill point. As this was the holidays and I had just paid an exorbitant amount I asked if I could split the bill to 2 payments, nope I was told because I was a delinquent customer. Yes it was completely my fault they couldn't read their own file. Then when I moved I was suppose to get at least $250 back as the tank had just been filled, which when I notified them I was moving in the next month and had enough to cover the month they sent someone to fill the tank 4 days before I left. Whatever. So fast forward a month, I call to ask where my money is, kept for "fees." I asked for a written copy of these said fees but like my previous bill, it was never sent. I really wish now I had taken them to small claims court. read more

After two years, way too many phone calls, and "over-zealous" tank refills, I canceled my service. It turns out I should have done so at least a year ago because their methods of filling the tank whenever it's convenient for them, and at whatever level (40% to 60% in my case) never changed. The last straw was their scheduling of yet another refill at 50%. According to THEIR electronic record, my tank was at 31%. That turned out to be incorrect as I learned when my new propane company drained their tank! So, here are the things to consider when hiring a propane company: 1. If they only have ONE option, and that is to refill your tank whenever. 2. If their pricing is 60 cents more per gallon than at least one competitor. 3. If they do not prorate their annual tank rental fee as other companies do. 4. If they charge a pick-up fee for retrieving their tank, as other companies don't. 5. If there is a huge discrepancy between what their electronic sensor indicates and the tank register says is the propane level in the tank. In my case, there was a 61% difference! 6. If the tank rental fee is substantially higher than some of their competitors. 7, If they seem to abide by their contract when it's convenient/financially beneficial to them (i.e. they never, not even once, allowed my tank level to drop to what their contract indicates as their refill level of 20%, so I ended up paying them more than the company I previously canceled (because their pricing per gallon was higher)....not OK for a senior citizen on a fixed income. read more

Been a (paying) customer for less than a full 24 hours... BAD BAD BAD.. I called a week ago to setup a "credit account" (btw, there is no credit). They took my social, birth date, etc.. to verify my credit. I was assured a call back within the day or next day. Fine. Small shop; takes a while to get things done.. NEVER received a call back. I'm away from home, but oen of my workers calls and lets me know there is a 'service man' here removing the tubing and locking the tank?! I immediately talk to the 'service man' (Mike). He gives me this run around that when I called I complained their price for gas was kind of high (btw, the gas was already in the tank! that certainly cuts costs). So in the interest of not being screwed out of hot water due to a unscheduled service to shut it off i give them a CC number on the phone/on the spot. Service Restored!! YAY. Then. . Mary calls and leaves me a nasty gram voice mail. ".. blah blah.. CALL IMMEDIAETLY REGARDING YOUR PROPANE ACCOUNT".. How much could I possibly owe in under 24 hours lol... So I call Mary. My card was -DECLINED- as she states.. I verify the number, exp. date, etc with her and "oh.. seems to have worked that time".. just after her noting that the number I gave her was exactly what they used. Then the real nab.... - having seen the reviews now I see its a SCAM... She tells me that after my card goes through that "if your having problems paying your bills maybe you should sign up for our budget payment plan".. NO.. I just payed my bill and had no problem paying it yesterday.. Less than 24 hours and the marriage is over. read more

I too did not read the "hidden review" on this company until way way way too late. Was sold into this company by a very nice service guy who promised me the moon. The first bill was as promised but then in February they billed me at $4 a gallon. And wanted all the payment in 10days. We paid them and then the next fill was at $3.50 a gallon. Within 2weeks though I received another bill crediting me back for money and rebilling me at $2.29 a gallon. I am a single mother and have had some hard financial problems this summer so I fell behind in payment. When I called to talk with someone all I got was a rude Office Manager and yelled at by speaker phone by who know....maybe a driver the way he talked and cussed at me. BEWARE!!!!!! Even PG&E works with a payment plan and help for the not so rich but Pacific Propane WILL NOT. They cut me off and took the tank. And then told me I had to pay for the 60% left in the tank regardless!!! WTF read more

Pacific Propane needs to work on their customer service! We signed up with them and they said we went threw $1200 worth of propane in 3 months. We have switched over to another local company and we have had one fill up in 6 months and it was for under $200! I think they were saying we were going threw more then we were to get extra business. When I called other companies to check the going rates I noticed that their going rate on my bill was so much higher then what other companies were quoting. I called back Pacific pretending to get a new customer quote and guess what? They quoted me a price more in line of what the others were quoting me. Soooooo they just charge out whatever they like, not going by the standard going rate. I really don't like being lied to! If you have them "watch your bill"! I asked for a manager to call me back and no one did!! They re-billed me out for the $1200 and I sent back the bill saying someone needs to call me!!! The collection person called me, go figure!! I re said my complaint and they honored the lower quote saying oops they didn't quote the lower amount........ And then well wait he might have said that, he couldn't really remember what he said. Do not ever use this company. They are criminals. Their desk help is rude and abominable and inept. They will attempt to accidentally "double charge you". They have no system of book keeping. They charge "whatever they want" and are not accountable. They will come out at 50% and fill up to 90%. We meant to cancel them out but thought we had time but they beat us to the punch and filled up the tank when it was 50% full and charged $3.59 a gallon! WOW! I have never in my life been treated so horribly by a business owner. Paula was quite simply rude and accusatory without having ever spoken to me before. Let me walk you through this nightmare of customer service to save you the experience. I called to inquire about service after finding out the previous owner of my home had a tank through Pacific Propane. Immediately, the person I spoke with, Alfredo, told me what a pain it was to get to my property and that they would have to use my neighbors driveway to access the previously used propane pad. I explained that my neighbors would be fine with this. I then asked him to tell me about his price per gallon. As someone who has never used propane before, I noted that it was more expensive than another company I had called and asked why there was a marked difference in price. He said that's the way it is and I should call them and get service through them if their prices are better. His tone sounded as though he were simply presenting another option and did not sound as though he were offended or upset. I thanked him for the information and said I would give them a call and check in with them. Fast forward a week later after doing some calling around, called back to see if I could get them to come out and put a tank on the property. I spoke with a very pleasant guy named Christian who also remembered my property and said they'd have to use the neighbors driveway. I again said this would be fine. He said the tank would have to be bigger. I said that would be okay. He said a rock wall would need to be removed. I said no problem. I told him whatever needed to be done to get a tank on my property would be no problem. He said he'd call Alfredo and call me back to let me know when it could be done. When he called back he said Alfredo had already spoken to the manager and they had decided they would not take me as a customer. He said their reasoning was that I had said I was going with another company. I asked if I could speak to the manager myself to clear things up. He said he wouldn't recommend it. He said I would probably get an earful. I told him I'd like to anyway, as I couldn't think of anything I had done wrong that would cause the exclusion of my business. I called Paula (the owner) and asked if she had spoken to anyone about my service. She said she had. I explained that I was told I could not be served and asked her if she could explain to me why that decision had been made. She said I had told her employee that their prices were too high (not true, simply asked about pricing and why pricing was different - remember, never had propane before) and that I was going to get service from another company (another lie, her employee suggested I call the other company to see about better pricing). I explained that I had not meant to insult anyone by inquiring about pricing and explained I was new to propane and was simply trying to be a discerning consumer. She said it didn't matter. I asked her, given the clarity provided, why she still refused my business. She said she didn't need to provide a reason, that it's her business and if she doesn't want to give service, she doesn't have to. I asked if I had done anything to personally affront her that would cause her to feel this way. She said several reasons, but she didn't have to tell me. I ended the conversation telling her I was disappointed in the lack of customer service provided and wished her a good day. I can only speculate, given that I was never actually provided a veritable reason for the refusal of service, but given all of the griping, it seems to me that this company simply did not want to deal with the hassle of going a foot to the right of my property and using my neighbors driveway and chose to then blame their decision on myself as a new and inquisitive customer to propane service. This is simply shameful. With the exception of Christian, who was kind and actually warned me I'd get an earful from management over something I didn't do, the customer service was atrocious. I sincerely hope you don't ever have to deal with these people and feel I dodged a bullet. Hubby and I give FIVE STARS to this independent family-owned company. After 15 years of dealing with surly staff and one-star service from another company, we decided to look into Pacific Propane. You won't find a more helpful group of folks who make it soooo easy to set up an account. Mary, Mike, and Alfredo are the epitome of what great customer service is all about. We couldn't be more delighted. Mike guided us through every minute of all the how-to's, and Alfredo wrapped everything up with the final installation of both a replacement tank and a new tank. I had a terrible customer service experience with Pacific Propane from trespassing to false information. My requests for customer service were met by rude, arrogant "management" who chose to just cut me off from service rather than deal with a legitimate customer service issue. As a businessperson myself I know this attitude is death to a company. Word of mouth is the most effective form of advertising and its clear the word of mouth about Pacific Propane is all negative. Pacific Propane in Castroville cancelled its customers who were affected by the Soberanes Fire because they say the roads are bad & they want to protect their drivers. That's hogwash. Suburban just set 2 tanks 500 feet away from me. They had NO trouble driving on my road. Apparently Pacific Propane's drivers don't know how to drive. I've been a customer with PP for many years. You're customer service technique is appalling. You aren't interested in servicing your customers. You let our propane run out twice in a row when you promised that would never happen. Thank you for putting my children at risk. You chose to contact a customer only when it suits you. Unfortunately due to a miscommunication between my husband and I the account was not paid, but yet you allowed it to lapse rather than provide a courtesy call. Your wireless system failed and you don't want to be held accountable. You had a credit card on file and could easily have contacted us since you have all of our contact information. Your business practices are suspect and quite frankly you are in the business of scamming fees out of your customers as you make up the rules and cause their families to be a risk. We are looking forward to a new relationship with your competitor who will be happy to have our business and who will treat their customers as partners rather than someone to milk out fees in order to pad your books. I see now that several people have given one star reviews...I should have noticed that sooner. Looks like you tried to milk those people as well. Long standing customers...wow. Be careful Taryn, they act all nice and the wammo, they will cause you to need propane at the last minute and then charge you fees to bring it out. Be wary. I have been with pacific propane for years, their huge one time bills are hard to swallow, but it seems to be a better fit then their budget plans, in 2013 I paid 25.00 a month, but a call from the company in October or November, I cant recall but I can look it up, to say that I owed and had not been paying, I paid like 150.00 up front and then for the last three months have not needed to pay???? How was I behind? then I receive a new signature required for the 2014 budget by March, without a written estimate of budget, when I called the company I was told they will not send me a budget plan until I sign up for it...seems backwards to me and poor customer service, which is my pet peeve!! read more

It's Saturday and I'm out of propane despite having a meter/satellite that should notify Pacific propane when I'm close to an ending point....I called the after hour answering service whom forwarded my message to a on call driver. I got a call back within 10 minutes however the driver couldn't come fill my tank up per his supervisor instructions, and I was told to call the office on Monday. I called the after hour line again and asked to speak to a supervisor, they forwarded the message and never got a call back.... I called again and asked to forward the message to the supervisor one more time and got a call back from a supervisor stating; I'm the one that should be calling the company when my tank is close to an ending point with a rude attitude. Why offer the service of providing a satellite/meter that should notify the company when my tank is close to an empty stage if it's not going to be reliable! I've been a costumer for over 2 years and they've always filled the tank on their own without any friendly reminders why is it that now they expect me to call and remind them to do their job! I'm sure nobody is perfect a simply "sorry, I don't know what happened, I'll send a driver as soon as we can" would have done the deal not the BS excuses that I got trying to justify themselves blaming it on their customer... Came home to heavy propane smell in the house with the window near the propane tank being open. Immediately went outside and heavy propane smell all around the tank. We shut the valve off but all the smell was directly coming from the tank. I called the emergency services and long story short- they refused to come out and investigate and told me it wasn't their problem but that I should call a plumber. I explained in detail what was happening and that I have three small children in the house and needed help right away. Well- one guy said he would come out but only if I told him how I planned to give him $200 on arrival, would it be in check form? WHAT?!? are you kidding. Man- do I miss PG&E who would come out immediately without hesitation to investigate. I don't care about the money- I said this multiple times- just come out... Called emergency service with them 3 times, the on-call guy 3 times, and the manager Paula who was impressively unprofessional and rude. The funny thing is- I was warned not to go with Pacific Propane because of the poor customer service but they were so convincing over the phone that they had really changed things and provide exceptional service so I gave them a chance as I favor family businesses. When it comes to something critical- like gas- service is paramount. Hey- if anything happens to my home, kids, or myself- let this be a record that I cried out for help. I am figuring out why people use Yelp so much before deciding on businesses to work with. Shame on this company! As a follow-up: we called the fire department who immediately came out and were absolutely wonderful. In the end- they STRONGLY suggested Pacific Propane come out to inspect their tank as they agreed the issue was with the tank. read more

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!! This company, after my negative yelp feedback, gave my Landlady two days warning that they are now picking up the tank and discontinuing service with us, possibly leaving me and my child with no heat and hot water if no other company could rescue us... Well guess what? another company came to the rescue. While Pacific Propane held me hostage for $700 one cold night to fill a 250 gallon propane tank or go without heat, Amerigas has only charged around $300 for the same amount. Pacific Propane is chagrining double for propane and all services and that..... with the Owner Paula's trash mouth and bad service. This woman will hang up on you if you don't say what she wants to hear. What's happened to customer satisfaction??????? My mission is to do whatever I can to let people know that companies like this need to be checked out and held responsible. They messed with the wrong person as I will not be blackmailed into to paying money or else!!!! read more
