Everything about Ferrellgas is professional!!! I can't tell you how nice it is to pay the budgeted amount monthly and not worry about running out of propane. This company has their act together. The last (local yokel) company I worked with was happy to charge me monthly then neglect to fill the tank & leaving me hanging before weekends and holidays. Terrible customer service ! Our tank ran out of gas, was given a delivery date but they never came. When we called to find out what happened, we were told the delivery was for the following day. We asked for a window of time for the delivery, since we waited all day already, and were told that was not possible. They did not have a corporate number or any way to call the supposed scheduler, and now had to waist 2 full days waiting for our delivery. We have been a Ferrell Gas customer for 17 years. The tank we currently own is leaking and is not repairable per the Ferrell Gas technician. We called to check on leasing a tank but were told that Ferrell Gas will not lease us a tank because we only use it for gas logs. They used to be cheap and reliable. The reliability has vanished. Two scheduled deliveries in a row have been missed. Why even get on an automatic refill schedule if they still can't deliver? Now the second delivery in a row and we ran out again! Expect to call and get an apology and credit on the bill? Not FerrellGas. It's no better than thoughts and prayers. Now on the 3rd day after notifying them we ran out, and the promised emergency delivery never shows up! I have no idea, no trust that I might eventually get a delivery. Promises broken, schedules ignored, drivers have so many deliveries they can't make all of them? Save a lot of frustration and go elsewhere! read more

My house ran out of fuel before the scheduled tank fill-up for the first time in 35 years. In the middle of these non-stop, record-breaking snow storms and cold, Ferrellgas dispatched a driver, Brian, who drove his huge truck up through my one-car-width neighborhood streets and actually got out and helped dig out a better access to my tank. I had a path ready, but this access would have blocked traffic on the main road, so Brian immediately offered his help to make the delivery!!! Unbelievable service and a life- and house-saver. Heat is on and we are happy and grateful, also so thankful that there are still incredible people out there who will go the extra mile. read more

This company has left us without propane for the last 3 refills, during winter, and only filled it to 56% last time. We ordered the last time over 3 weeks ago, before the tank hit 30% (they recommend requesting a refill at or before that point), received an email last week that they are "rescheduling" our refill request, promised to have it filled in 5-7 business days and/or by February 3. We are currently at 0% and have the rest of the weekend to wait. Did I mention that we both finally got Covid this week? yeah. Have been waiting for delivery from these charlatans since before Christmas. Was told they would be out before the New Year, apparently, they came but didn't deliver because they claimed they couldn't access the tanks. Was home, no one called to check if we were around even with the instruction on the account. delivery guy left and notified no one. Only found out that they missed us because we called them to follow up. Due to how busy they were given a 10-day window. Today, on the last day of the window, was assured on the phone they would be out with our fuel. No show. would highly recommend against. read more

Been a customer for a while now. Started off good but the last 6 months have been a mess. Taking forever to fill. This last time i ordered a fill 6/6. Didnt come for 15 days. I was told 1-7. Lots of calls and excuses. By then my tank was empty so they shut off my gas and it took me 2 days to get everything re lit and on. Id switch if i could. Heard this from many other residents. If I could give no stars, I would!!! I ordered a refill of my propane gas tank on Dec 14th when we had 40 percent left. I was told I would get delivery by Dec 23rd. Called on Dec 23rd and was told I wasn't getting delivery and they didn't know when I would. We will not have heat, ability to cook, or hot water by New Year's. Bye Ferrell Gas! read more

I requested a fill through their website back on 2/21, with scheduled delivery on 2/27. But on 2/27 got a voice msg. of delay of 3 days. I've called every day since 2/28--since Ferrell never updated my delivery date notice on their web site and no one called me back. I've even requested a partial fill to get past the immediate delivery crisis. We stopped using central heat since 2/28. On 3/4/23: Still no propane delivery despite my 2 calls on Friday, 3/3 to FerrellGas and despite seeing one of their delivery tankers locally on our main road in Soquel twice in the past 7 days. I don't think they deliver on Weekends. So now, our possible earliest fill will be on Monday, 3/6--despite their website still states our delivery is still scheduled for 2/27 (over a week ago!). Our 500 gal. tank is about 6 or 7%. We may make it to Monday 3/6, if everyone on our property continues to conserve, such as no central heat and limited use of hot water and gas ranges since 2/28. I'm quite upset with FerrellGas' lack of communication (no call-backs). Their web site still has my "Open Order" scheduled for 2/27. It's now 3/4. I've been a FerrellGas customer for many years and never had any lack of prompt refilling until this past month. I've always paid for refills thru their website within a week after delivery. They have very attentive Customer Service Reps and a very navigable web site. Only one problem, they are not accomplishing their mission: ACTUALLY BRINGING THE PRODUCT, i.e. PROPANE, TO THE CUSTOMER/S! I next want to communicate directly with their senior management. There is something wrong with their corporate leadership. They need to have contingency plans for weather-related climate changes and fluctuating refining shortages. Ferrell Gas. I did my research and everyone said Ferrell was not only the least expensive but a good company. For everyone who read my recommendation I no longer support them. I switched and because my husband has cancer and is always cold I have been checking the gauge regularly and often. Yesterday we ran out of hot water, reset the tankless and it wouldn't stay on. Called for repair and he tells me that according to the error code I am out of propane, I immediately call and they have not driver to service. Well being a Sunday, I can understand. This am first thing I call again! I am told they will be here this pm. They then called me back and told me the time I should expect them. They called again and told me I should go out and slam the lid on the top of the tank, I had already hit the gauge several time.! So back in the house I go to find our propane fireplace won't come on either. Also checked the burners on the stove. We are defiantly out of gas. As the delivery time got close I called them again and guess what they have no order to come out. It would be one thing if I had just had not called in time, but I was checking the tank constantly. The gauge still reads 60. Here we sit with no heat, no hot water, no working burners on the stove, and the best they can do now is tomorrow! read more

I live in the Lexington hills area above the reservoir. I gave these chuckle heads a call that I was low on gas (10%) three weeks ago and followed up several times. Now on ~1% . Hot water off. Heating off. Not the first time. Have seen the Amerigas truck 4 times in the last month. Guess I know who to change my contract to. Customer service was spotty at best. read more

Oh, but you better pay within 24 hours of requesting propane so that they can take their sweet time and not even able to give you an estimated time for them to deliver your 100'scof dollars order that they so much urgently needed payment for. and we are only at 10% read more

We switched over to Ferrell from Suburban about 8 years ago. Ferrell was great to work with. In the last 2 years their customer service, deliveries have turned to crap. Order gas on 4-25-22, was told it would be delivered within two weeks. Was Not. Was called and told that the driver said ''the road was closed'', it wasn't. WTF road was this clown on? None of the roads up here because everyone has been getting to work, stores are getting supplies, blah, blah. I have had two orders CANCELLED by Ferrell since 4-25-22 and yesterday was told that this order would be delivered today 5-10-2022...wanna guess what? Yes, nothing. In fact I was told that our delivery would be first thing this morning and to keep my phone on in case he needed directions? Ya been coming here for 8 years moron. Time for a change. Awful company. Ferrelgas Castroville left customers high and dry during the worst weather emergency in years. They had been shorting customers on deliveries for at least a month, without telling them their tanks were not getting filled. When a series of bomb cyclones knocked out power -- I was out for more than three days straight, and then was without power more than I was powered for more than a week -- many Ferrelgas customers went to turn on their propane-powered generators. Rude surprise: everyone was short of gas. (NB: My tank had been "filled" just a week before the storm hit.) I phoned Ferrelgas immediately and ordered a fill. They would not expedite the order, even though I was at 20 percent at that point. I had to endure a lecture about how lucky I was to have any gas, and how generous Ferrelgas was to choose to short customers so everyone could get something. Total nonsense and victim blaming. I was promised gas delivery by a date 10 days out. That's 10 days when a series of major storms were predicted, and extended power outages were a given. On the 10th day, I got a robocall from Ferrelgas, saying they had rescheduled my delivery, and they "hoped" to deliver gas within the "next three business days." That means FIVE days, with the weekend. I am effectively out of gas now. They know it. It's their fault, and they don't care. All the "customer service" employees do, when I phone and plead for help, is read a boilerplate statement about national gas shortages. There is no national propane shortage. Ferrelgas mismanaged its own propane distribution and put its customers in danger. Knowingly. Then they weaseled out of taking responsibility for their own poor business practices. Do not recommend. I wish I could recommend another company y. In my experience, one propane company is as bad as another. Because a customer has to be under contract to get deliveries, these companies know they have the upper hand. They do want they want, when they want. They don;t care about customers' health or safety. read more

To write a review, one must select at least one star. To be more accurate one star is not applicable in this case. No star whatsoever should be selected. Without going into great detail of the terrible service (or lack of) we have experienced. I wrote this review to WARN people, this company is not a good choice. In fact, they are not able to provide service, and missed several of their scheduled visits. It's worthless to call them, they are confused and offer oddball excuses and promises. I noted that they have been in finical trouble for a number of years and have been in a reconstruction phase since bankruptcy. We are in the process of finding a new service provider. read more
