I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Nickel and his entire team. From the very beginning,…read moreDr. Nickel was an incredible communicator--personable, kind, and always willing to answer every single question I had. He made me feel comfortable and confident throughout my pregnancy, which is something I am beyond grateful for. When it came time for delivery, my baby had other plans and I ended up needing a C-section. Thankfully, Dr. Nickel had already taken the time to explain everything to me beforehand so that when the moment came, it wasn't scary or rushed. Because of his preparation and clear communication, my C-section went smoothly and I truly could not have asked for a better experience. Leading up to delivery & after delivery I appreciated his check ins, it was nice to see a friendly face around! The nurses and staff at his practice are also absolutely outstanding. They were so kind, attentive, and just wonderful to be around--it really makes all the difference. Nurses and doctors can truly make or break your experience, and I feel so lucky to have had such an amazing team by my side. Truly one of the best. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Dr. Nickel and the nurses made what could have been a stressful situation into something positive and reassuring, and I will always be thankful for the outstanding care I received. I would recommend him to anyone!

But we get there for our 2 week check up (even though we had our 2 week check up with our midwife). Lisa Barer, MD walked in and didn't even introduce her self until later in the appointment. We could already tell once we told her that we did a natural birth she started to judge us. Then we said we wanted to do an alternate vaccine schedule (didn't say we didn't want to vaccinate our son) according to Dr. Sears book, and she instantly said "well that book isn't based on facts and it's band in the UK just so you know." And then my wife had a complication about the placenta being delivered and the sack, staying attached to her uterus during labor and Dr. Lisa said very rudely, "I don't know if they told you but you could've died." Then to top it off, she started to poke fun about his birthmark on his face and came back in the room just to take a picture of it, saying she needs records and to keep an eye on it. 10/10 do not recommend.
