I have gone to this clinic for many many years. When Dr Faiola left it all went downhill. On 2…read moreoccasions they have lost my X-ray results and neglected to send an urgent fax to my OB/GYN. And apparently I can't see the MD I was referred to there as she doesn't even work there. The care I've received lately is sloppy and unprofessional. Sadly I will now have to search for a new primary. I liked the idea of staying in a privately owned clinic but that has turned out to be unsustainable.

This is state-wide. It takes time to get ANY appointment with ANYONE. You have to fight. I have been in severe crippling pain for months. I have been poked, prodded and pricked by every hospital that is not in Seattle. I have not always been treated very nicely, especially at HRH. I rolled into this place (in a wheelchair) and was immediately greeted with warmth and kindness by the receptionist. She handed me a pager and within five minutes I was getting my vitals taken by very competent and kind staff. Percy himself is a hoot. Perhaps he is not everyone's cup of tea but I appreciate a straight shooter who does not waste my time. He did not hesitate to give me two injections to get me out of crippling pain. He encouraged me to keep up with my other MRI appointments. He helped me devise a better plan to help my diabetes. Time will tell about my pain but I have already scheduled myself for another appointment.

I genuinely HATE giving these guys a bad review. I've been with Dr. Duncan long enough that I saw…read morehim when he worked in Tumwater Family Practice. his ability to see to my needs has been phenomenal over the years and he's even gotten my into be seen on short notice. throughout the horrors of the world during 2020, 2021 and into 2022 they were the most understanding and helpful even when my attitude was at the worst I can ever remember. they even went to the extent to help get appointments set up with my own mental state just couldn't cope with ANYTHING on those occasions. sigh. I am very sad to be leaving his care. so, why the one star rating? well... he decided to change his business model to a concierge medicine model. the example would be a gym membership. you want to be seen here... it'll be an extra $80/month just to be part of his practice. this also leaves out something that has come up with my wife a few times. she tends to have overall poor health and has had some incidents where she needed a boil drained or whatever and rather than taking care of it there (while she was there in his office) he sent her to any emergent care clinic of her choosing. as much as we've trusted (and really still do trust) them as a whole I found that odd. this led to even more "Hmmm" sort of thoughts. he didn't (or doesn't?) seem to keep any vaccines on hand and referred me out to the local Albertson's, Walgreen's etc. when I was forced by work to get a shot. most of this I can deal with but, it all plays into the same thing. more money for what is apparently LESS service. if it weren't for the face-to-face interactions I've had with Dr. Duncan being so amazing and his staff so completely helpful I would've left on my own years ago.

If you're looking for someone to tell you what you want to hear, you might look elsewhere. If you want to get healthy and fit, Dr. Duncan will give you the tools to get there. I have to laugh at the people whining about the yearly membership charge of 800 dollars and change. Maybe if they went cut out the Uber Eats and Starbucks, they could afford to invest in their health. He also has an awesome staff, and the lab services are 1st rate.

However, there's something missing in how his expertise translates to the business practices of his office. One wonders if his office staff are just so bad that they can't complete the most basic activities of a medical practice, like sending in Rx to a pharmacy and submitting billing to insurance. Or, is it because he doesn't communicate and/or train his staff in basic medical office functions? This is a practice that needs a FT MA and a FT office specialist, and/or clinical coordinator, but I see only one gal behind the desk doing double/triple duty. How they've managed to remain open and not sanctioned by the health insurance plans is a mystery.

My insurance plan has NEVER been billed for 3 office visits and they haven't billed me for copays. Each time I've seen Dr. Jensen, he treats me as a new patient, asks the same questions and fumbles around with papers in the chart without even discussing blood work he sent me for. He wastes time telling stories about past patients and makes mildly amusing quips and anecdotes at each appt, but the depth of his skill and expertise has long since passed the point of no return. He clearly lacks the self insight to recognize that he's too old and not cognitively up for the job anymore. He should take steps to transition his patients to a new practice and retire with dignity before the AMA shuts him down and/or he causes great harm to a patient due to his negligence and inability to provide quality care. if no one in his family or practice is telling him this stuff, then shame on them for standing by while others suffer. Maybe it's time for patients like me to take a stronger stand and file a formal complaint with the insurance plans he contracts with and the licensing boards that allow him to practice medicine.
