Keith is a pompous ass. Based off of 4 crappy text pictures he decided he didn't want the job. Wanted me to call his foreman to do it, as a cash deal. He claimed he was providing me service by doing this. Keith, providing service would be coming out, looking at the trees and educating me with what could and couldn't be done. Business must be sooooo good that he can turn business away. Oh well, steer clear of Keith is my advice. read more

Did not use. The person who took my Er mail was over sensitive, and called me rude for asking what the reason was that they cancelled me just 4 hours or so before they were to show up. He got called to work in WA and he won't be back this way until late is what they said. I said plans. This is inconvenient. Called to work? What is that? His job was to look at my stuff. They said i was rude and it wont be tolerated and if i wont change my attitude find someone else. I wont be talked to like that by anyone. If i cancelled on them, thats a diff story. They maybe I'd be like you're right. But rudeness is also their response. Can you tell i love over sensitive people? read more

I should have left this last year, but I wanted to see how the trees came in and they look great! They are on time and shaped up the shrubs nicely. Pruned a lilac and dogwood tree that were not growing correctly. They are coming in really nicely this spring! I recommend this service. read more

Pacific Northwest Arborists did an EXCELLENT job on our large lot on Mt. Scott. Keith Mitchell did the initial assessment and he listened carefully to what we wanted. The crew of six or seven men who worked July 8 & 9, 2019, headed up by Tom, were on time, friendly, and very easy to talk to. Their work was FAST, efficient, safe, and, most importantly, truly skillful. We watched them cut down six unhealthy trees on our overgrown wooded lot (including a dead cedar) and trim a dozen others back into shape. They were more than happy to stop and listen to us as extra things occurred to us on the days they worked (like having them trim some overgrown arbor vitae away from a low-hanging power line). Tom the foreman was excellent--directing his crew from up a tree with a chainsaw, but always happy to stop and listen to us. He told us he's worked for Keith for 19 years, and most of the work crew have been with the firm for 6 or 7 years. This showed in the way that the crew worked so seamlessly together and cared so much about their work. THIS firm hires SKILLED people and keeps them. It's not a bunch of random guys who've only worked together a few months; this is a real team. They cut our downed wood into firewood, just as we asked, and gave us the name of a stump grinder (one of the few tree services they don't do themselves). They ground up branches as they went so the yard stayed passable during the work, and then did a SUPER job of cleaning up duff and chips when they finished. We could not be happier with their work. If I could give six stars, I would. P.S. We heard about them from my husband's parents in Beaverton, who employed them after being dissatisfied with the work of several other local tree services. We took their recommendation for Pacific Northwest Arborists and are very glad we did. read more

We have used Pacific Northwest Arborists several times. Their prices are very reasonable, and their work is second to none. We have used them to trim several large firs, a large big leaf maple, and a smaller but very tall maple. Their recommendations on what needed to be done were thoughtful. They didn't recommend anything we thought was unnecessary. They are highly skilled and worked even more quickly than we expected. They completely cleaned up any mess from the tree trimming. We were very happy with their work and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a good arborist. read more

I contracted with Pacific Northwest Arborists to come in and trim two trees and to remove two trees that I didn't particularly like. They did a great job trimming the trees, but there was a total misunderstanding about what "taking out" or "removing" trees actually means. They just cut them to the ground, which I could have done myself, and that was it. I expected them to actually dig the trees out since they were only a couple of years old and because we had discussed that I would be replacing the trees with other trees. Just because that is "what they always do" when they take trees out does not mean that we were ever on the same page about what would actually be done! And it was not anything that I even gave a thought to needing more definition. Even after a long discussion about this, they continued to go with the "this is what we always do" line. I would highly encourage anyone considering this company to get clear definition about what you are really looking to get done + what it is that they will actually deliver!! read more

Contacted Keith and arranged for three trees to be removed and bucked for later splitting into firewood. Crew arrived on time and made quick work of the trees. Very professional crew. Left the place as clean as it was when they arrived. Also left the chippings just where we asked. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more
