The first time I used them was because they were the lowest bid (by a substantial amount. They were literally less than 1/3 of the price of the highest bid from the "service champions"), but I chose them to do my latest plumbing repairs because of the trust that they had earned from me. This guy is a swindler! First of all, we got a new water heater from this guy(Michael) 3 years ago…read more He tried to charge me over $5,000.00. My friend called the local warehouse with the info off the box and found out how bad he was ripping us off. He ended up taking off $2,000.00 after being confronted but I still paid over 3 grand for a water heater. Fast forward.....Last week that new water heater quits working and the only reason I called him back is because he would have all of the warranty info etc. He said the parts would be under warranty but he would have to charge me labor for the work. BE AWARE! He charges $75.00 "truck charge" and that is per day. If he doesn't finish in one day it's another $75.00 each trip. Then he charges $125.00 an hour! He comes out and tears it apart. He says it has been leaking for years. I questioned how it had been installed. He blew up and was just going to leave me with a torn apart mess. He said " maybe you would like to just install it yourself". I asked if he was serious? He said he needed to go to the warehouse and get a part. When I asked what the price of the repair was going to be he kept saying "I charge BY THE HOUR NOT BY THE JOB!" He comes back and installs the part. He said now, it needs another part and I need to go back to the warehouse. He calls me and says the warehouse was closed so he would be returning tomorrow. So, here comes the second $75.00 truck charge. I guess you need a box truck to pick up a sensor? I told him this was all ridiculous! I do flooring and stated that I would never treat a customer this way. His reply was "well, you run your business how you want and I will run mine like I want to!" In the end he handed me a bill for $880.00 for a repair on a 3 year old water heater that he charged me over 3 grand for. I blew up! He relented and said ok, just for you I will reduce it to $500.00 does that sound ok? I said "no, it doesn't but your in control here". I paid him and told him to leave. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Second, they did not get the job done. They snaked twice, found roots in the drain (unsurprisingly, since this is a 100 years old house), noted that the pipe is still clogged and then refused to complete the job unless I fork out another $250 for an additional hour of work. They suggested that I replace the pipes and quoted ~ $7500 just to excavate the pipes (not including the actual replacement). Since this was my first time with a Roto Routing company, I paid what now seems almost a double of the going rate. Here is what is on my invoice (and what I paid): -$195 for the snaking (on the high end, especially since the pipes were still clogged by the time they were "finished"). (Electric Rooter charged $135!!!) - Toilet removal: $155 (!): ridiculous for 5 min work. Other guys (the Electric Rooter, which actually did the work, charges $40!!!). - Camera inspection: $250. I was pressed into this totally useless job which took them 5 minutes and brought zero insight. Why was Electric Rooter successful when B&E Rooter failed? Their machine seemed much newer and stronger, with a longer snake. Finally, I went with this company because of the recommendation by Manwill Plumbers Co. with whom I had a good experience last year. Needless to say, I am angry and will never work with either company again. All in all, the charge was $620 whereas the Electric Rooter charged $135 for the same job but, unlike B&E, actually DID the work. As you can see, I am a bit upset about all this. I feel like a sucker. I do NOT recommend this company.

I thought the overall cost to de-winterize and get our Spa up and running was steep ($560.00 including chemicals). They did tell me that one of the pumps was going and would continue to leak until fixed. This was helpful information. We called them to come out to do the recommended pump repair and were left to wait and wait and wait even though there were reserved time blocks. Repair of pump...$660.00! But the leak still persisted! Again, a call to have them come out and to wait and wait...On one occasion, Kurt didn't arrive until 7 PM! On the 4th visit, we finally canceled...we were told Kurt was on his way an hour after the reserved timeframe. Upon having another company come out to fix the leak that STILL persisted, they showed us the valve that clearly had been forced with a screwdriver/Philips head and they said: "someone has tried to force the valve open/close and they knew the leak was coming from the valve." This was what Kurt had diagnosed when the leak still persisted AFTER the pump repair we paid him to do! I really question if the pump was the real problem and it was only the valve that was further damaged: a guise for come-back work. Over $1,200.00 out of our pockets and hours and hours of waiting PLUS an additional $200.00 we had to pay another company to fix the forced valve. You determine if the other reviews are accurate...I wouldn't.
