Customer service is friendly, but what I loved most was that the fish and toppings are FRESH AND PERFECTLY CHILLED! I love their sauces and selection! I had pretty high expectations for this spot because of the high stars & reviews but I was slightly disappointed. Though I do enjoy that they have plenty of toppings to choose from, I feel like their rice to protein & toppings proportion is not equal - definitely more rice and I couldn't finish it. Also their spicy mayo was basically just mayo and you can easily tell that just by looking at the bottle. It's pure white, no orange tint to it or spice in the sauce or anything that. I've been coming to this place for a few years now. While the food is so tasty I think the customer service had dwindled. The woman who owns it seems to get shorter and shorter with customers including their workers. I also noticed they are " nickel and dime"ing everything now. I used to get the garlic crunch on top (the pinch they give) but now it's an additional two bucks. I used to get volcano on the side but that's another dollar because of the cups. They are already charging $20 bucks a bowl you would think it would all be included. read more

Definitely disappointed with this place! I had it on my list of places to try for a while. I am out of the delivery area, but had an errand to run so ordered a pickup. I ordered a large bowl with 4 proteins including ahi, salmon, spicy tuna and spicy shrimp and krab. I didn't see any spicy tuna or any shrimp whatsoever. The ahi and salmon were small portions at best, probably 2-3 ounces tops. I chose ginger ponzu and spicy Mayo for sauces. The bowl was swimming in what I guess was supposed to be spicy Mayo, but was just Mayo. No sriracha to be found in that mess. I had toppings too and barely got any seaweed salad and the jalapeños they gave me had no spice at all. I had sushi rice and salad as the base and got mostly rice. Really not sure why all the rave reviews here. Maybe people in SR never had poke before or something? The fish did seem fresh for what was provided and the price is ok, but it didn't seem like good value or anything special. There are better options in town. read more

1 star for today's meal. 3 stars due to every other time being great. Ordered 2 large bowls for online order pickup. Bowl 1 was missing all but 1 sauce and missing 1 protein option including eel sauce, chojahng, spicy shrimp crab, and even had slaw added to it. Bowl 2 was given ahi instead of spicy tuna for proteins, missing salmon protein, and had no spicy mayo added. The wonton chips were also burnt, being almost black in appearance. I had to add soy sauce at home to bowl 1 otherwise it was so dry from all the ingredients I couldn't eat it. It was almost like we got someone else's order, but notice when it's too late at home after taking a couple bites. Will be back, hoping this was a one time fluke. read more

Finally a poke spot in Valencia that satisfies my poke cravings! The owner is very friendly and genuinely cares about what you think of his food. You'll be able to customize your poke bowl to your liking similar to many other build-your-bowl fast casual establishments. No limits on the number of toppings or sauces. Each poke bowl comes with a miso soup. The warmth of the soup was perfect on the cold, windy night we stopped in. I chose the citrus ponzu. My only criticism is that the sauces are poured over the entire bowl instead of mixed into the fish. I'm not really complaining though, since I still enjoyed the taste of fresh salmon and albacore. I guess a traditional mainland poke would have the sauce and fish mixed together. The small bowl provided a generous size serving that filled me up even with a post-gym appetite. They also offer cooked food items with different specials per day. Those I may venture to try on a future visit, though when I think about it, I'm going to be inclined to stay with the poke. We don't get a lot of these small businesses with outstanding quality of food and service, so my hope is they get a lot of community support and stay in the neighborhood! read more

I asked for extra edamame on top and was surprised to find out at the register that getting extra edamame would change my total from 13.95 to 17.95.. After asking how my price changed that dramatically the owner made it clear I could swap out a scoop of PROTEIN for more edamame if I didn't want an added $3 for edamame?? ... ridiculous. read more

Unfortunately, on my way out to pick my order I got called into a "quick" virtual work meeting which ran longer than intended. Like many recent reviewers, I have been coming to this place for a while and it was always my favorite. I looked forward to going once a week. But yes, recently a lot has changed. First, they started charging for the miso soup and raised their prices. Ok, no big deal, everything is more expensive now. But it didn't stop, I feel like they have increased prices again and again. The last time I went in, I tried to order my bowl like I always do ... half brown rice and half salad ... that'll be an extra dollar. Toppings ... only 5 or you pay extra. Even when sticking with their restrictions, you pay $20 for a bowl that is half full. You'd pay about that price per person to go to some restaurants. I used to go to school in LA and poke was my favorite go-to place but never really had many options when I'm back home. Living in SCV is so hard so find great places to eat and this place is definitely one of them!! First of all, the service is AMAZING. The owner/worker are diligent with their work and very welcoming. The service made the dining experience even better. They have daily specials every day whether it's curry, bulgogi, chicken cats, etc. I would call in and see which is their daily special! The poke bowl is traditional with the base (rice or spring mix), protein, toppings, and the sauce. They do not skimp out on the serving size and their portions are huge (and better than other poke places in SCV- for sure). A small is 3 protein ($10.75) and a large is 4 protein ($12.75). SO WORTH IT. They also have a complimentary miso soup which is a plus! Overall, the fish is fresh & the food are very flavorful. I definitely recommend their salmon, ahi tuna, and albacore fish. Their poke bowls are fantastic. I like the spicy tuna with brown rice/spring mix and sesame dressing, hubby likes the regular ahi with brown rice and teriyaki sauce. Their ahi is so fresh and their toppings (masago, edamame, beansprouts, green onion, cucumbers, asian slaw, seaweed salad, crunchy noodles, onion & garlic crunch, nori, furikake, avocado, jalepeno, ginger, and wasabi) make this one of the best poke bowls I've had outside of Hawaii. I'll be honest, I hate most food options in the Santa Clarita Valley. The majority of the things I can find here are chain restaurants, and I hate eating at chain restaurants. It's a new poke place, which is rare - as SGV hardly has any Asian/Pacific Islander food. When I arrived there were two employees in this small shop. Most likely the owners. I asked for a large bowl and with everything on top except for corn and avocados. I chose two sauces, the spicy sriracha mayo and something else. The person who made my plate lathered a lot of sauce on top. I was quite surprised. When I was checking out the man gestured me to take some complimentary miso soup. Very basic but very good. This used to be my favorite poke place in Santa Clarita, however, the quality seems to have gone down drastically recently. The poke bowl I ordered was covered in liquid, plain sauces and all the components were swimming in the sauce; the protein tasted old and fishy and the toppings tasted stale and foul - I literally spit out the bean sprouts bc of how gross it tasted. The server didnt even cover his nose with his mask while making the food. Really disappointed and traumatized by this experience.... I don't think I'll ever go back there again read more
