The sales rep made it easy. We knew approximately what we were looking for and he led us right there, showed us a few models, gave us a bit of time for us to discuss privately, came back and answered a few questions. Boom he sold us a washer, gave us an option of a way to lower that price even further. That was Monday night; the washer was delivered this morning, Wednesday of the same week. The guys who came to install it were great! We had been given Wednesday with a relatively broad time window as the expected delivery, then they texted me Tuesday with a more precise range. They texted again early Wednesday to confirm and then about 30 minutes before they arrived, we received both a text and a call letting us know they were on their way. When they arrived, the guys checked out the laundry room first, agreed to do a position shuffle to install the new washer closer to the water source and laundry sink, observed that our old washer's hoses were actually quite new and probably could be reused so uninstalled the hoses (so I'll be able to return the new ones that we didn't need - another savings). They then removed the old washer, did the space shuffle, installed the new washer, set it up on the test cycle and were ready to go. In addition these guys were polite. Big box retailers often take that rap for service; at least for our experience with Best Buy give them a fair chance they give a great customer experience.

Before leaving I figured I should open it and make sure I ordered the right product. Glad I did because I did order the wrong one, ugh. I went inside and the door attendant directed me to where the cords were and said I should get the correct one and then I could proceed to the service desk. Now that it's a month later I'm doubting my confidence that it was Jamie that assisted me? When I did the exchange she said there was money due and I interrupted saying: yes $2 and.... She said $7. We discussed that I made the purchase with $5 Best Buy Rewards bucks... would those not transfer over or did I forfeit them with the exchange? Jamie called a manager over as they clicked around and made the $5 transfer to the correct purchase! Up until the delivery, we had a really positive experience. Unfortunately, the delivery and take-away portion of the process was very disappointing. One of the movers was extremely rude and condescending, which made an otherwise positive experience unnecessarily unpleasant. I appreciate the excellent service we received from the sales staff, but the delivery team represents the company as well. Having someone who interacts with customers in this manner is not a good reflection of the company and undermines the positive impression created by the sales staff. I hope Steve's Appliances takes this feedback seriously and addresses this type of behavior so that future customers receive the same level of professionalism and courtesy throughout the entire process.

The people are pretty helpful but I'm not a fan of their lack of cashiers and their reliance on self pay kiosks. Otherwise, you are pretty much gonna shop at the location that is closest to you.

Stepping into the store it's like stepping back into time (in all the good ways). The proprietor greets you with a smile and asks genuinely how may they be of service. They listen to my specific needs, and offered me a very reasonable price for what I needed. They also told me how I can manage some of my own vacuum cleaner service needs so as not to spend unnecessary money in the future. It was a small thing, but that gesture showed how they cared more about me as a person, than they did about gaming a few extra dollars out of me. Little things like that have made me a long-term customer of theirs, and I will always bring my vacuum cleaner back to them for service.

They say the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Well have you driven south in the evening and see Southern Lights? We worked with Megan who was FANTASTIC! She educated us about the exact set up lights I was looking for. They have LED tape lights that you can actually cut to a custom length. Perfect! Those lights are bright enough to light up my kitchen yet are dimmable too. Megan also showed us some new electrical covers that are not your standard switches. We absolutely love these lights! We've been down to visit Southern Lights a few times over the years and most recently to check out their big tent sale. They have a huge tent sale in the Spring and in the Fall with lots of great deals. I would say if you can't find a light at Southern Lights, then it is just not available.
