History
Established in 2012.
Pacific Insulation started with a phone call — eight of them, actually. Before launching in 2012, owner Gus Koedding called eight Spokane insulation companies to see what a homeowner's first experience with a contractor felt like. Five never answered. Two quoted a price over the phone without ever seeing the attic. One scheduled an appointment.
That gap became the business. Fourteen years and thousands of conversations later, the principle hasn't changed: do what you say you're going to do.
Gus built the company around a simple belief — your home is where your family builds traditions and memories, so the experience of hiring someone to work on it should feel warm, not transactional. Most people buy insulation or mold remediation once or twice in a lifetime. They shouldn't have to become experts to avoid getting taken advantage of.
Crew members hear it on day one: there's no such thing as being in the green or the red on a job. You take as long as it takes.
Meet the Business Owner: August K.
Gus Koedding is the owner of Pacific Insulation & Restoration, a veteran-owned contracting company serving Spokane, Spokane Valley, and Kootenai County since 2012.
For over a decade, Gus has built his business on three principles: integrity, reliability, and friendliness. He believes homeowners deserve straight answers, not sales pitches — which is why every job starts with a free inspection and a plain-language explanation of what's actually going on above the ceiling.
Under his leadership, Pacific Insulation has become the region's trusted name for attic insulation, mold remediation, vermiculite and asbestos removal, and fire and water restoration. Local news outlets regularly seek his expertise on ice dams, attic moisture, and home energy efficiency.
Gus is a hands-on owner. He answers the phone, walks jobsites, and stands behind every project his crew completes.
Everything Attic. Except Bats. We're Terrified of Bats.
