Saw numerous issues with the sheeting and construction of my roof, didn't say a word, just put his roofing over it. After having major issues with the roof, took him and the contractor to court where they finally admitted what they had done. I won the suit. I would not have this guy roof my chicken coop! After a couple disappointing encounters with other roofing contractors, Perrenoud roofing was like a breath of fresh air. The company's representative, Tyler, could not have been more helpful. He arrived as promised to assess the condition of the roof, take measurements and make recommendations. The estimate arrived in my inbox the next day and was a full $6,000 lower than what the first contractor proposed and lower still than the second company's estimate. Tyler's recommendation for the color of the shingles was perfect and compliments the colors of the house and Perrenoud's crew was great. Despite the fact there were 2 layers of shingles on this roof, water damage and a skylight that needed reframing, they finished the work in 2.5 days. This is a GAF roof with an exceptional warranty and will definitely outlast me. I do NOT recommend this company. They damaged my siding while replacing my roof. The siding was CAB (asbestos). They left chunks of the asbestos material on the ground surrounding my home. They had their crew continue to work on my job even after they had disturbed the asbestos siding. I had to turn them in to Spokane Clean Air, after which time they finally took responsibility for the contamination, yet they would not take responsibility for the damage they caused. The owner admitted to not completing the 2 city required inspections, that are part of the permit process, in an article published in the Inlander on 11/4/21. He neglected to inform his clients of this practice & now there are over 1000 unpermitted roofs, done by Perrenoud, within the Spokane city limits. I needed a new roof according to my homeowner's insurance inspector. I called 3 contractors in Spokane. By the time this company's estimator came out the new roof was already scheduled to be replaced the next day. Perrenoud took two weeks and their estimate was 3x the cost! I had the roof replaced and it was discovered the underlayment was rotted. The company I hired replaced it all and the cost difference was not even near the price quoted by Perrenoud. Plus that company did the whole thing in 2 days, trimmed my trees away from the roof, replaced some siding on my garage, and fixed my rain gutters all at no extra cost to me!! Sent the insurance inspection report to them to give them a heads up. It said what work needed to be done, but if other damage was found then pictures would need to be submitted. Guy shows up and asked how old the roof was, 12 years old, info was in the report. He wouldn't even look at the roof because he said the whole thing would need to be replaced. Apparently in the last 10 years the size of the shingles has been so radically changed that the new size will not work with the old shingles. First I or Google has heard of this. He had the report for a week, but must not have read any of the details. Advertise that you only want to do complete roof replacements and don't waste people's time. Most people work and have to take time off to meet you! read more

I own a rental property that had roof damage from the November 2015 wind storm. We chose Perrenoud Roofing over several other bids because they were a GAF-certified contractor. However, we were extremely dissatisfied with the service/job done by Perrenoud Roofing BECAUSE the job WAS NOT completed by Perrenoud Roofing. The job was sub-contracted to Salinas Brothers Roofing, a traveling third-party contractor who did a very poor, sloppy job. We were never notified that the job could or would be subcontracted and when asked for references or referrals for Salinas Brothers Roofing Perrenoud Roofing refused to provide any. At the onset of the job, no one from Perrenoud was even on-site and none of the details of the job were relayed to the sub-contractor. Most of the workers could not speak English, leaving no supervision or anyone on-site to communicate with. When Perrenoud was called about several issues (sometimes several times a day) their response was either refusal to even discuss the problem or "every crew does things differently, we cannot tell them how to do the job." The job took much longer than we were told and we had to call them back to redo things several times. During the initial roof tear-off the only protection provided to any part of the property was a small tarp half-hazardly laid onto the front deck/porch which basically offered no protection at all. At one point the cable, telephone, and electrical service drop wires were completely loaded and sagging from the weight of hanging debris and the crew had to be told this was a problem. Because there was no protection provided, there was various damage to several parts of the property including: the wood fence, house siding, front porch, and back stairs were all scratched, chipped, and marked with black smudges to varying degrees (Perrenoud bought us two gallons of paint). Two sections of gutters on the west side of the house were damaged with one section left just laying on the ground (Perrenoud did eventually replace both sections with new gutters). The driveway was completely inaccessible and covered with old shingles, bricks, and nails for several days during and after the tear-off. Finally, they brought in a utility trailer to haul the debris away. No check for nails was ever done in either of the neighbors driveways and we found dozens of stray nails. There were piles of debris and material left on the lawn which, we had to clean-up ourselves. Another pile ended up back on the grass after being removed once and we had to move them again. Several roof line edges were done crooked and needed to be trimmed straight. The vents on east side of the garage were not done even parallel with each other or placed within the same row of shingles. The crew had to come back and re-cut the vent and re-shingle over the original placement. Three ledges were not shingled and five of the ledges were missing metal drip edge. They randomly roofed some ledges and not others. We had to call them back to do this. There are (still) several areas where the drip edge is dented, bent, with poorly-joined seams. On the most visible front face of the house several short sections (3'-5') were used and spliced together. In the original contract, Perrenoud Roofing agreed to remove an existing chimney and sheath and roof over it for $100. Then they charged us $700 extra for a 10' piece of molding that was supposedly custom-milled but did not even come close to matching the original molding's profile. THEN, they cut it 3" too short and attached it with roofing nails not finish nails. (Again - we paid $700 for this piece of wood that did not match and was ruined installing). The City of Spokane building inspector was not called for a "deck" inspection. WE had to call for inspection after-the-fact. At that time the inspector stated that Perrenoud Roofing was notorious for not even pulling a permit. They did in fact call for a final inspection. As the project drug on, the crew were no-shows several times when we were told they would be there to complete the job or items on the punch list. In the end - we were so anxious to be done and have both Perrenoud Roffing and Salinas Brothers Roofing off of our property that we decided it was not worth fighting over the final punch list and we could compete most of those items ourselves. read more

Everything about the installation of my new roof was handled with perfection.
