June 17, 2026 DG Contracting roofed my home last year, in 2025. As we went late into the season last fall. the DG Contracting crew had to work against the weather, in order to get the roof done. The DG Contracting crew made sure the areas that needed protection during the nights were tarp and secured for the next day. There were some problem areas which had been done in the past that Sam and his crew noticed which should not had been to the house. Sam and his crew went the extra mile and took care of the problems to help prevent deterioration to the house. Let's face it, new roofs usually look good, mostly because they are new. The new roof DG Contracting put on my home last fall may not only look pretty now, but the best part it will continue to look great in years to come due to the quality work done and the quality shingles used. DG Contracting stands by their work and has a excellent warranty. Sam and his crew worked within the budget needed, but did not sacrificed quality material or work. Sam is a Christian man and cares not only about customers, but the men who work for him. I didn't realize until Sam pointed out that the crew would be having a good Christmas with their families because of not waiting until this year to do the roof. When it comes to sheathing roofs, DG Contracting uses plywood which is known for its superior strength. Plywood resists bending and warping and if we get a heavy snowfall winter it holds up to heavy snow loads versus OSB which can swell due to moisture. Often times when I driving I have noticed, even on the newer homes the roofs are warping which I believe is due to using OSB instead of plywood. If OSB is subject to moisture, the board can swell, warp, or have structural rot. DG Contracting could try to cut costs by trying to convince homeowners to use OSB, but Sam is a man of intregity and uses plywood a more lasting product for roofs. 12/03/22 After 9 years of a botched roofing job from our local box store and local subcontractor, we finally found a professional roofing company called DG Contracting, owned by Sam Cover out of Spokane, Wa. Sam contacted us and said, let me help you. We talked things over on what had happened from the past roofing job and he said he would guarantee that his crew could and would fix all our issues. Needless to say, my husband and I couldn't have asked for a better crew. Not only were they fast, efficient, professional and polite, they did a fantastic job. They also kept up to date on everything. All our fears of a leaking roof are now gone and we can live in peace. Sam and the DG Contractor team are incredible. I have never worked with a contractor of any kind that took such care and ownership over a project. We used them to replace our roof and gutters and when we found water damage under a broken gutter they went above and beyond to repair it and help us through the issue. These guys did a fantastic job on my complicated, previous owner messed up roof. They tore off all of the old roof and additions, up to 5 layers in some areas. Took it down to the rafters and resheeted it properly. They applied the new roof and it looks beautiful. Can't say enough about the crew. They were conscientious about cleaning up the area everyday when they were done. We had some heavy rain showers after the roof was sheeted and covered with underlayment but before the shingles were applied but it didn't leak one bit! My roof leaked in early winter, causing damage to an internal light structure. Due to the snow and remoteness of this cabin's location I was unable to get many roofers out and feared fire would result if I replaced the light without fixing the roof. DG Contracting (Roof Repair) not only came out to take a look. He traveled a great distance requiring hours to complete the drive time alone. Mounting the extremely high roof, which overlooks an embankment of rocks down to the lakes edge, he cleared the roofline of debris. Sam and his crew were the most professional, personal and hard working people I have had the privilege of working with. They removed my old roofing and replaced it within three days. We had a leak around our chimney due to badly applied flashing by another roofing company. They said they couldn't even come to look at it for another 3 weeks and that it wasn't covered under warranty. Called Sam the owner of DG contracting at 12:30 and he had a crew of 2 out at our home by 2:30. They fixed the flashing in less then an hour and didn't even charge us! It is impossible to find good customer service these days but this company restores my faith that good people are still out there. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us! DG Contracting was hired to replace the roof on my two story house. It had framing issues and a roof installed incorrectly by the original builder. It was a MAJOR project with the roof being torn off completely, framing issues corrected, re-sheeted and covered with 50 yr shingles. Sam and his crew are experts. The end result: I could not be happier. Looks great, vents painted to match, clean lines and everything lines up. Their framing and sheeting looked spot on as well. From the initial estimate by DG's representative Alan, to job completion by DG (Sam) and Julio's crew, the whole project was first rate!
