All Terrain Fence is beyond 5 stars, from the first phone call…read more Shawn does what he says, shows up when he says he will, completes it when he says, uses high quality materials, and has a very fair price. What more could you ask for? Shawn answers his phone or gets back within the same day. He came out to measure the area in a few days and prepared an estimate within the week. When I sent him the deposit check, he put me on his schedule and arrived the morning of that date with all the materials and equipment. He said it would be done in 5 days. It was. Shawn uses high tensile fence, 3x stronger than ordinary fence. Because it comes in 330 ft rolls, it is easier to install. The metal stakes are placed every 20 ft, with a 6" diameter wooden pole every 5th post, 4" wooden T-posts in the corners. This makes it faster to install and more transparent for those, like me, who don't want to see the fence. He designed his own equipment to dig holes in 10 minutes through subsurface rock for the wooden posts. He charges $22 a hole, far cheaper that jackhammering or renting a cat-auger or bigger. Shawn's price was half the bid of a fence installer I had used the previous year. Shawn's materials are superior, and he works faster. It took him 5 days to fence 4 acres with 6 ft fence, custom-build and install four 6' tall, 4" square steel mesh gates (4', 8' & 14' wide) mounted on 6" metal posts, and install an automatic solar powered gate opener. He had one helper. The other fencer took 17 days to fence in 100x85 ft with 5 ft no-climb fence with 3 people doing the work. Shawn was undaunted by the terrain at my property saying it was nothing out of the ordinary. The other fencer said it was ready difficult and could only be done with wooden poles. I made a…read morecouple of calls over several months to ask about automatic gate openers, and Josh always took my calls and was so helpful in guiding me to purchase a Liftmaste gate opener instead of one of the cheaper brands. It was obvious that I was not going to purchase from them (they sold only high end equimpment)- yet he still spoke to me as if I were a paying customer on a couple of occasions. After purchasing a Liftmaster online from another company and installing it myself I ran into alot of problems. I needed local help and there did not seem to be anyone that had the expertise that Northwest Fence did with automatic gate openers. I called Josh and explained my problem, and to my surprise he had a gate expert at my Ranch the next day. He evaluated my installation, and spent almost an hour with me troubleshooting possible problems. They did not charge me for this visit, and honestly- MOST companies would charge for a service call. The expert that came out (who preferred to be un-named) was very kind, and sympathetic to the mess I had got myself into- got me on the right track to solving my problems. So, I dont know who the people writing low star reviews worked with, but the professionalism, kindness, and depth of knowledge exhibited by Northwest Fence, in my opinion was 6 stars. I hope for the chance to work with them in the future. If you are considering a fence or gate opener- I hope you will call them. They were responsive and punctual. Michael showed up on time to give an estimate and provided a quote with 3 days. I was stood up and did not receive so much as a phone call from 2 other companies. 2. Prompt and professional customer service. Whenever I sent an email, my questions were promptly answered. 3. Their bid was fair and reasonable. I received in total 3 bids and the one that was like for like as far as material, installation, and time, was significantly incomplete compared to Michael's, so I went with K2. 4. The work was done and completed to my satisfaction, in spite of winter weather challenges, and I appreciate that more than anything. We sought a new fence to keep our pup safe but not detract from the neighborhood beauty. We decided to go with a pressure treated posts hog wire fence. I have a high standard when it comes to completed work. I want it to look good and be aesthetically pleasing top to bottom. That was accomplished with K2.
