The Wooden Shoe Tulip farm offers a quintessential rural Oregon experience with stunning views of Mount Hood and all the friendly and helpful vibes that Oregonians are known for, along with intentional ADA features and accessibility. Purchasing tickets online is required (which I love) so planning ahead is key, and it's super easy to do. You just choose your day and a time slot and you can stay at the farm from your designated entry time slot until closing. Parking is plentiful and the entrance and parking staff is well organized and coordinated. The Tulip fields are vast and the grounds are very clean and well maintained with lots of photo opportunities stationed throughout the property, which has rolling hills and stunning views of Mount Hood. Portable toilets are stationed throughout the property at various locations including ADA accessible toilets along with baby changing stations. Beer & wine can be purchased at a couple of locations throughout the farm for you to enjoy as you stroll through the fields. Food can be purchased near the main gift shop and there are several vendor tents for dining and shopping, as well as rides and activities for the kids. Dogs are welcome and there are trees located along the edges of the fields which offer a nice opportunity to take a break in the shade. We visited on an unseasonably warm and sunny day with our puppy, so the shade breaks were necessary. For food we opted to get a hot dog, corn dog, curly fries, burger patty for the pup and a special sparkling lemonade. Everything tasted great and the staff were so kind. While standing in line for food and while eating our food, we had such lovely interactions staff and with other visitors. We purchased a sticker at the gift shop before making our way back through the tulip fields and then heading back home. We had such a lovely visit from start to finish. I highly recommend this experience to locals and visitors alike.

I'm so glad I planned ahead because I was able to enjoy a perfectly lovely afternoon, just me and the pugs. We're so lukcy to have Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm so close to Portland. Just 55 minutes from my house, I was able to take off work a little early for a 3:30 arrival time at the farm. Gates close at 6 PM, so this gave me several hours to stroll through the fields and buy some fresh flowers. I didn't have any time to visit vendors and craftspeople, but I can always come back to the farm if I feel the need to check out any of that. The folks running Wooden Shoe have done a great job managing traffic and parking, as everything is clearly labeled. Also, requiring visitors to purchase tickets online really speeds up entry. Visitors pull up to the gate house, get scanned, then they're on their way! I love the efficiency. The parking lot is next to the garden center, and the vendor booths are just beyond that. The shuttle service is easy to find, as are the paths to the flower fields. I love that the farm has chosen to use hazelnut shells to line the paths as it is soft underfoot, yet keeps the ground from getting overly soggy since weather isn't always predictable this time of year. Admission was $19 and I feel I got my money's worth today. I had a lovely afternoon with my dogs, got some flowers, and created some lovely memories. I highly recommend a visit to the farm! Peak season lasts from April 15th through the end of the month, but can vary from year to year. Check out the farm website for the most up-to-date information. Enjoy!
