OK, where do I start? There is much I can say about this clinic. First of all, they used to be on Gulick street and it was quality at that time. That went downhill with their move to St. Francis hospital. The welfare, shabby office I was putting up with but then the quality of the prescription glasses plummeted. The last glasses I got at a pop of $250.00 and up lasted a year if even. The frames break easily and the lenses get cloudy. You can't see through them at that point. When I recently went there they had increased their caseload beyond capacity. They were cramming 20 people in at a time in their tiny office. Which definitely means the wait time is a lot longer to complete appointments. The examination rooms are all taken. They do have quality equipment and that is why I stayed with them as long as I did. I moved on finally. I need better glasses. The price also doubled on the ones they are selling now. That is price gouging for sure especially if they are still the poor quality they were passing off to unsuspecting clients. Dr. Pang doesn't seem to be able to keep good doctors on board although Dr. Hamrick is excellent and has been there awhile. He was working the floor himself when I was last there and was very flustered and easily agitated. I would think twice before I seek eye treatment from this outfit. Dr. Pang= 5 STARS Dr. Pang is excellent. My grandma had cataract surgery and her vision improved significantly by a 100. She's ready to get her other eye done. We were even shown a video demonstration of what a cataract surgery and laser surgery is like. Kudos for that. STAFF= 2 STARS Only reason it's getting a 3 is because some of the staff are horrible. One on particular. Not sure if I'm correct but her name is Katrina or something to that extent. Second visit she already gave me a bad vibe and I said something to another staff member but brushed it off because I was there for my grandma. But this last visit I swear this young tiny girl acted as if she doesn't want to be there. No personality whatsoever. Dr Pang asked her to assist us with doing things in the office but she was ready to brush us off and have us do it at home because the computer wasn't turned on in the morning and Dr. Pang even told her they should be turned on in the morning. Other staff members are nice and some are just okay. I'm big on customer service and if I don't get the respect I definitely won't give you none neither. read more

I give Dr Pang & his Office STAFF a FIVE STAR they are all very helpful and friendly. I underwent a right eye cataract surgery and now is seeing better than I did before the surgery. I've been going to this place for a couple of years. My past experiences weren't too bad. They're usually booked a month out. But it was conveniently down the street from where I lived so I figured why not. It was a bit confusing at first because my appointment was with one doctor but for the past few annual visits I have been seeing another doctor?? I never asked why, I figured I'm getting help so why ask. I have daily lenses which I love so much. And the doctor who prescribed them was so kind each time (I forgot her name). This review would've been 1 star if not for her. This year I had totally forgotten to schedule an appointment so that was on my part. I'm on my last box of contacts and prefer not to use my glasses due to headaches. So I'm one of those last minute people trying to schedule an appointment. Yet again, they were booked a month out so I was fine with that. I'll just have to bear using my glasses once I run out of contacts. I understand that you cant overbook patients especially when youre shorthanded. But what did it was the person I talked to on the phone. Long story short, she took my information and laughed at my last name. I could hear her and her coworker over the phone snickering before she caught herself. I get it, some people have names that sound like certain words which can be amusing. But I was not amused. I work in customer service, so I understand when a place is booked out for a month, etc. But attitude? You cant excuse that. I hope they see this review so they can teach their clerks/staff a little about customer service. I called back to cancel my appointment. I will not be going there anymore. read more

Dr. Pang did a great job on my Dad's cataract surgery. My Dad's cataracts were so thick, he was having a hard time even distinguishing colors on his computer monitor. Dr. Pang is a great doctor. My father needed a laser procedure done on both eyes. My father looked nervous when he heard the word "laser," but Dr. Pang and Dr. Wong were both reassuring! They acknowledged our hesitance, but calmed us down by describing the procedure. The day of the procedure Dr. Pang did a great job. Post-procedure was even better! My father was happy with the slow, steady results. It is really good to know that we can count on doctors like Dr. Pang and Dr. Wong to provide the best care for patients like my father. My family has been with the Pacific Eye Surgery ohana for the past few years now and all I can say is that the doctors are amazing! They know how to care for their patients. They are kind and compassionate. However, the only concern that I have regarding the center is that the staff (the women) can sometimes give negative energy towards patients, like myself. They can be a little rude at times. You smile at them, they don't smile back. You say hi, you get a inexpressive "hi" back. They walk around with this annoyed look on their face, that it does not look good for the company. I have even witnessed some of them talk rudely and loud to patients. And let me clarify: "talking loud" meaning they are yelling and are annoyed by the patients; not because they are old or cannot hear well. All I can suggest (and I hope that they read this) is to at least TRY and look happy. To the staff: Yes, you might have had a long day, but when you are around patients every single time, a smile can go a long way. The doctor's office is already intimidating for some people and having grumpy staff members will only make it worse. Respect for the patients is a must!!! They are a huge part of why you are working. Smile, say hi back and look happy... that is all I am saying. It looks bad. To the doctors: I applaud you for your hard work. That is why I gave four stars. But please talk to your staff. read more

I am writing on behalf of my dad, Elmer M. He recently went to see Dr. Pierre Pang and underwent eye surgery. My dad was having difficulty seeing in his left eye and was only seeing black and white colors. Dr. Pang removed his cataracts and now seeing better than he did before. Recovery time was very minimal and my dad was back to his daily routine the next day. My dad was very more than happy with the outcome and enjoyed the friendly staff. Never thought I would be in a precarious situation with my eyesight, but a long overdue visit to Dr. M. Pierre Pang's office uncovered a detached retina on my right eye...Dr. Pang promptly and professionally performed laser surgery that same afternoon and sent me home. Next day, I was back at work to welcome and take care of a visiting foreign President and her entourage. Dr. Pang is a miracle worker. My mom was only days away from going blind because of diabetes and many other health issues she's had over the years. WoW! First day I have met Dr. Pierre Pang? He's seems around of age 40's and good-looking man. My thoughts of him, he's a wise man perhaps doesn't even know how to get angry of a pout face ... (LOL) I was surprised and couldn't believe in my observations? Many patients that are successively arrived at his office, most of them had bandage in one eye. I have been from different opthomologist, in his office where i've seen that there's the most busiest, classy, clean, and his assistants are very much devoted... :) There's no possibility if it is always busy, and patients and will wait for that long and that's because of their trust in his abilities. Dr. Pang and his staff really makes you feel very welcome! At my first appointment with him, he took the time to introduce himself and his staff which shows me that he takes pride in his work and wants his patients to feel right at home. It was never a mystery to me during my eye examination and he made sure I understood what was going on. I heard and read reviews about the billing but I never had that problem. I've always made sure I pay co-pay before I leave an eye examination and always receive a copy of my payment receipt before I leave the office. Dr. Pang's staff is very courteous and maintains professionalism when assisting new and existing patients. I was referred by my primary physician to see Dr. Pang to do an assessment. My eyesight was deteriorating from 20/15 to 20/200 within two months and getting worse, with a condition known as (CSCR). Dr. Pang performed laser surgery with successful results, which improved my vision back too near perfect. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to have Dr. Pang perform my surgery. I live on Guam; in December 2013 I was referred to Dr Pang for laser treatment. I have since seen him three more times for Laser and this latest visit (1/5 and 1/6/15) for cataract surgery. Dr Pang and his Staff here on Guam are courteous and completely professional each time I see them. Dr. Pang and his staff provide an excellent level of care and their office is very conveniently located. I have both driven and taken the bus to appointments and there is plenty of parking and a bus stop right in front of the building. The office is very nice with a very comfortable waiting room. You will however hardly use the waiting room as there is usually little or no wait time between signing in for your appointment and being seen by the doctor. The exams are conducted in a very efficient manner but you never feel rushed as all of the physicians and technicians are very personable and will take the time to respond to any questions you might have. The equipment in the office is state of the art and the staff is well trained. Dr. Pang has an outstanding reputation as a highly skilled eye doctor and surgeon and I have recommended Dr. Pang to many people including family members. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a highly skilled physician who is very easy to talk to. read more
