Drove an hour so my son could take driver test here. The instructor spent 10 mins with my son and failed him. Felt like he just wanted us to come back and spend another $50. I will not recommend this place for the driving test. Felt like we been scammed. Zero Stars! read more

I purchased the 4 lesson package and I couldn't be happier. Steve O was my instructor and he was great! Very friendly and professional, he was very knowledgeable and gave me the confidence to get behind the wheel (not an easy feat, as I'm 30 and thus far, been terrified of it). By the third lesson I already felt comfortable driving. I scheduled my Class C driver's test through them as well, which I had immediately after my last class. Matt was very good about giving me enough time to know when I had to do something, and at the end gave me some great advice. Oh yeah, I also passed! The staff are amazing with the students. This driver ed program is extremely thorough and as a parent of a new driver, I felt completely confident they would teach my daughter some mad driver skills that she would retain forever. Josh uses lots of humor to keep the students engaged and at the parent orientation I went to, he had us laughing after awhile. By completing this driver training program, my daughter will not have to do the driver test with DMV when she goes to get her license, because this is an ODOT program. Highly recommend it. read more

Super easy to make an appointment, with extremely nice and friendly staff which is always nice (especially when dealing with something somewhat stressful like a driving test). Easy to access from public transportation then about a 15 min uber/lyft ride to Gresham DMV (afterwards if you pass). I had John as my instructor, he was very nice and easy to understand as he instructed me to turn, etc. After parking back at the lot he read over my results and gave feedback on where I need to improve and also what I did well. Our team has been working with Pacific Driver Education for the last 5 years and they have always delivered the best customer service. They are flexible, kind, caring, and responsive. Their instructors are always on time, friendly, and do an amazing job at coaching our drivers. Their driving orientation classes are informative and engaging. I so appreciate that they teach with a great sense of humor to keep people engaged, but without sacrificing the important details and stressing the necessity of following Oregon driving laws. They are patient teachers and are always honest with the drivers, but in a caring way. They are willing to go the extra mile and schedule additional lessons and do whatever it takes to help our drivers feel comfortable and work on the skills necessary to pass their driving test. i myself had no issue getting my drivers test arleen cruz was exceptional i mean she was calm and understanding and super sweet! thank you arleen dear! However here comes why i am giving them one star and thats being generous. i am not an instructor however i am a person who has been that nervous stressed teenager learning to drive and taking the test for the very first time...because i myself had such a good experience with my test i recommended my best friend to get hers there so she paid the 65 bucks to take the test and i have let her drive my car with my kid in it and she did great so we get to test day and of course shes nervous and this is her first time so its definitely expected she leaves to take the test and comes back not even 15 min later i honestly dont think it was even that long so her instructor failed her because while stopped at a stop light she took her hands of the wheel for a sec and wrote that she was distracted....ok next point off was for mentioning she liked the car behind her( i too talked during my test maybe too much but never got marked off for it) this was also while she was stopped then the last mark on her paper was because she slowed down for a cross walk which i do all the time while im driving id rather slow down than take the chances and hit someone crap happens and she didnt come to a complete stop just simple slowed a bit( of course i wasnt there so i can only go off of what was on the paper and what she said) so he failed her and made her come back! i have seen it a couple times where someone has been failed because of stupid stupid reasons like my friend! i lost my cool with them in the office because all they did was make more excuses hold ur instructors accountable i highly suggest wearing a body cam or taking a dash cam incase you get screwed over like so many others 65 bucks is too much to waist to not even get a fair shot at it!!!! read more

I had a great experience at Pacific Driver education. The staff always answered the phone and returned e-mails. I took classes with two instructors and both were very experienced and helped me a great deal! They were able to see what level I was and adjust the classes to suit my needs, which I appreciated greatly. read more

As a driver on the road with these "instructors" I cannot say too many times to stay away from this "school". Following behind one of their marked SUVs I held back and gave them lots of space. Who knows? It could be the student's first time on the interstate. They took the long approach at 35 MPH, in this part of the highway, our entrance lane becomes the third lane of the interstate so I thought it would be easy for them to get to speed with no merging needed. As the car reached the fast moving freeway traffic, the SUV slowed from their high speed of about 40 and began blinking left. The vehicle then merged into the middle travel lane at a speed that left those behind them slamming on their brakes. I pulled alongside the teaching vehicle and could not get the attention of the woman in the passenger seat. She was so busy talking and gesturing that she never took stock of the outside world. Not the kind of driving I want others to learn. Not at all. I did try to leave the school feedback about their instructor privately, but they apparently don't know about or can't afford voicemail. Shame on you, Pacific Driver Education. read more

I took my driving test at Pacific Driver Education because the waiting time for a driving test at the DMV was much longer and I needed my license as soon as possible to drive to work. I practiced before the test with my husband as I already have a driver's license from another country. On the day of the test, my husband and I were still waiting outside at 13:00 for the door to be opened. Test appointment was at 13:00. After several minutes, Damon, who was my examiner, opened the door and apologized, the reason being that he was having lunch. The smell of the room and his breath which lingered throughout the test attested that fact. I finally did the road test where I failed miserably. Damon gave me questionable reasons for failing me. My confidence was shattered. The same day I called a driving school in Hillsboro and booked two 6-h lesson packages. This time I waited patiently and had my driving test at the DMV and got a 100% pass. It was far less stressful at the DMV. I would have saved money if I haven't gone there and also avoided this horrible experience. read more

you have to pay for the classes before you find out they cant get to you for 30 to 60 days then they try to charge you a $25 cancellation fee. because you have to go somewhere else that has time for you. read more

We used Pacific Driver Education for lessons and the DMV test. Very professional, they showed up at our house on time and did an excellent job teaching my son. We wanted to avoid the stress of the DMV and decided to have him take the test there. Great experience....he passed!!!! Would highly recommend this company for lessons and/or the test. read more

I had a very bad experience at this place. I have tried to contact them about the tester Lois Lentz but she was the one who responded to my email where I said want a review of her services. I believe they fail many people on subjective issues especially those who do not take driving school with them. As soon as they failed me and my partner Lois encouraged us both to book with them again. And I see in many reviews people have had similar issues. On top of the scam they are running, Lois told me things that are absolutely not true about the law. They leave condescending responses on many negative reviews and I found Lois to be very nervous, condescending throughout and rude. This place did not even respond to my partners complaints and did not respond to me until I said I was going to call and come down there unless the issue is resolved: the issue is not resolved! Do not book a driving test here! Wait or use another service. Also the area they are located in is a horrible testing area a lot of traffic acting illegally around you, very busy, a ton of construction, multiple school zones as well. read more

Just before Christmas 2016 my granddaughter went to Pacific Driver Education in Gresham for her driver's test. She was well prepared and felt good about her driving both during and after the test. The Examiner (Damon M.) felt otherwise however and marked her down for infractions and driving mis-steps I had never observed not even once during the previous 4 months while providing her with driving lessons. My granddaughter was deeply hurt by this experience and honestly could not understand how the examiner graded her as he did. She vowed to not let this result ruin her confidence. 8 days later she repeated the driving test at a DMV office and received a perfect score of 100. The examiner commented that she rarely gives a 100% result on the driving test but she was impressed with how well my granddaughter performed all the tasks necessary to pass the test and wanted to acknowledge that fact with a perfect score.This result was a complete and utter vindication for my granddaughter and stood in stark contrast to the miserable experience she had with Damon M. a week earlier. We feel the Pacific Driver Education examiner acted unfairly and in an unprofessional manner by inventing spurious driving infractions to downgrade her driving performance and by suggesting a re-take of the $50 exam might lead to a better result.
