We have twin teenage sons that had a bad case of acne (face and back), and we had been going to another dermatologist, who's only course of treatment to to give our sons a huge bottle of antibiotics for treatment only for 6 months. The acne and scarring only got worse, so we approached Pacific Dermatology Institute to get proper treatment. Under the care and guidance of Dr. Kheradmand she prescribed a course of mediation and blood work over a 8 month period. The results have been amazing. The acne has all cleared up and the scarring has all but disappeared. We just got back from a trip to the UK and one of our friends said "Wow that trip to England has really cleared up your boys complexion." That was not the vacation, but the hard work of Dr. Kheradmand. If you are seeking a Dermatologist in Temecula Valley then look no further. She and her staff have been awesome. 5 stars!! read more

Is anyone else having a problem getting their Mohs surgery scheduled? 2 of the 3 biopsies (taken on August 3rd) came back positive for basal cell carcinoma on August 17th and I have yet to be scheduled. In the past I would have received a call about the results and to schedule the Mohs procedure. This time I got an email directing me to their webpage for the results. I have called 4 times since and was told that Mohs group has been alerted and that September is filled and I will be called when October bookings open up. Here it is September 23rd and no call. I don't know what's happened to them??? read more

It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. I'm usually one that tries my best to find positive in everything, despite the interactions. I do believe this needs to be shared with Pacific Dermatology back office functions. Firstly, i must say-- interactions with the front end staff including scheduler Elizabeth (on the phone she was lovely and explained everything precisely) and check-in personnel, Brandy, were absolutely wonderful. Very friendly, helpful and professional. I'm grateful for them! The office was also very clean. Unfortunately, the gut feeling I had about the few back office staff I encountered including Dr. K was reality and quite the opposite of the front office staff. I waited for 40 minutes or so to be seen-- I don't mind waiting especially when believing you're in good hands. I don't expect perfection, I do expect standards of medical care and practice. I can't recall the gentlemen's name(MA) that brought me back, he was topically friendly. I went to sit on the exam chair and I was surprised he said, "oh no not there. Please have a seat in the smaller chairs." I have fibromyalgia and other chronic medical issues and was in a lot of pain. But I listened and sat in the plastic chair which is fine. He proceeded to remove the paper I briefly sat on from the exam table. Not sure if he was annoyed, but his body language conveyed it. He was quickly in and out with what seemed to be really rushed usual instructions. I thought maybe he was in a rush or just moved more swiftly. Told myself not to assume. Next, the doctor comes in with a female MA who were both seemingly friendly also. Speaking really quickly and quite rushed, Dr. K gives her MA a look and then looks at me. Kind of awkward but I thought "she needs her chair to be comfortable and there is absolutely no harm in that." Dr K explained she usually asks for her chair and that's why she looked at her MA which made sense. In the very short time the MA went to get her chair, Dr. K asked me a few brief questions to gather chief complaints. The MA walks back in the room with her chair and Dr K says, "oh we are already done, don't even need the chair." I felt really confused and frustrated. I briefly told her my concerns, yet it was as if she was in such a rush to get through our time to get on to the next. I totally get she's running a clinical practice and has to be efficient, but there was hardly room for me to speak. She had asked me to de-robe (shirt only) right there in the chair and I felt very uncomfortable. I asked, "right here? In this chair?" She said, "yes." Didn't offer a gown or to sit on the exam table. Or anything. I felt Bert uncomfortable and as if I had little say as she was just trying to 'check the boxes' and move on to the next person. Dr K rushed through giving an injection and other medications that I barely had a moment to process all that she was saying. I realize I could have asked her to slow down or fully exam the areas of concern (she didn't even feel the lump I was talking about just went off of my report), but I was in shock. I tried to explain some of the issues I'm having with moles on my face and she quickly shut it down and said "no we won't touch those." I asked about the lump under my armpit and she asked if it was this or that...how do I know? I'm not a doctor. That's why I came to seek her expertise. I hoped for at least a full exam. My referral was for skin check/full exam and a few other areas of concern. The female MA gave a print out of after care instructions for the frozen skin. She at least took the time to review it. I'm grateful for that. I left confused, in shock, and asking myself "what just happened there?" I was in and out of the exam room within about 5 minutes or so. I left with many more questions and several more prescriptions which is what it seemed her answer to everything was. The front desk staff was very kind on the way out. Quite a bummer for the wait and also the hope for good care--as I was referred. I am now having to seek out another dermatologist because the lump has grown larger after the injection, the mole she froze looks awful, and I have other areas of concern couldn't address because it was so rushed. I'm sad thinking of other patients who may experience similar things. Truly a bummer and poor standard of care. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Kheramand for a few years and have received excellent care from her. Because I have a history of melanoma and have had several Mohs' surgeries for basal cell cancer, Dr. K always requests that I return in 6 months. However, the office does not let me make an appointment 6 months in advance like all other medical offices I have visited presently or in the past! I am always told, "We'll contact you to make the appointment." However, they never do! I was supposed to return last month and when I contacted the office this morning to ask why I was never contacted, I was told that they were only making appointments for September. I would not recommend this office if you need to see a dermatologist every 6 months!! read more

I wanted to like Pacific Dermatology Institute. They were on the recommended list by my primary physician, and I liked some of the reviews I read. I gave them a chance, but will never go back. Their phone system to book an appointment was terrible. I had to wait on hold a couple times for a very long time, only to get hung up on. First available appointment was over a month out. Dr. Kheradmand was very good with my exam. She took 2 biopsies. After 2 1/2 weeks, I hadn't received a call about the results, so I called, and had to leave a message. Dr. Kheradmand called me back, with bad news. Two moles had to be removed, including a Stage 0 melanoma on my face. She told me they wouldn't help me with that, and recommended I go to Scripps (San Diego), or up to Loma Linda (each an hour away), and gave no recommendations for a Doctor to see. Further, I had to go to the office to pickup the results. When I went to the office, I asked for my results, and the woman at the front desk printed them out. When I asked for the pictures, she said, "Oh those stay here." I said, "Look, you guys can't help me here. I need to have another doctor take care of my cancer, and those pictures are necessary." She begrudgingly printed them out for me. I took all of that info locally to Dr. Jens Theile at Dermatology Specialists in Murrieta (15 minutes away), where I got an immediate appointment, and both moles removed very professionally. read more

I had an appointment with PA Carrie Davidson. She was dismissive and unhelpful with my issues. She made generalizations based on my skin color that weren't even true and instead of asking me she made assumptions. I would never come back to this office due to the unprofessionalism and lack of knowledge. Even the medical assistant who asked me questions tried to see if I had any labs done to try to figure out my issue yet Carrie didn't have me take any labs to try and figure out what my root problem was. She had no real advice except that I was probably stressed. What a joke of an appointment and waste of money. Look elsewhere. read more

Dr. Igo should be sued and lose his license to practice medicine for the disfigurement he caused me. After being treated by him for a year and being diagnosed with a specific skin condition he still recommended that I have a biopsy done on the area being treated. I should have refused but when a doctor who you are led to believe you can trust working for a medical facility you were led to believe only employs experienced highly educated dermatologists, tells you that you might have cancer, then the normal reaction is to get scared and agree to the biopsy. That would have been ok I suppose had it healed as he told me it would, leaving no change in the skin or shape of the surrounding structure which never even crossed my mind as a potential consequence of what he called a "scrape" biopsy. However this was not what happened because within a day of the biopsy my ear lobe had completely lost sensitivity to touch, lost its thickness and lost its shape. I went from having a tiny harmless noncancerous spot on my lobe that was tender and occasionally formed a scab to having a lobe that now looks like a flat lose floppy ugly deformed hanging piece of flesh and has no resemblance to my other lobe!! I didnt have cancer and any qualified dermatologist would never have told me to get a biopsy for cancer after being treated for and diagnosed with a condition he knew was not cancer. I will forever hold him responsible for destroying the beautiful ears I once had. Never trust a dermatologist without a second opinion. Never trust any doctors at this office. When I went back for the last time and was crying he brought in this other doctor who had the nerve to say to me "I've seen Worse!!" Can you believe this is the degree of insensitivity and unprofessionalism with which they treat patients? Me neither but its true. I lost faith in doctors after this incident. If I could have afforded a good lawyer I would have sued his A....ss off. read more

Pacific Dermatology cancels appointments with little heads-up. My first appointment with them was canceled with only 1.5 hours notice. This was annoying, but these things happen, so I rescheduled. My next appointment was cancelled with 2 hours notice. Because I have kids and work, coordinating these appointments can be challenging...even more difficult with a company that cares very little about other's time. I was seen by Dr. Shiva Kneradmand. I had been seen by other dermatologists for over six months and nothing was working for my out of control rash. I was told previously that I had a drug allergy, eczema put on shots etc. I didn't just have the rash I felt ill. I happened to get sent to this office and she looked at me and said she thought I had some sort of infection she put me on a combination of three different oral medications bacterial, fungal and parasitic and mixing two topical meds. Within 8 weeks everything gone. It has been 2 years and completely gone! I have been meaning to post this for a long time but time escaped me. In a way I'm glad I am posting now because no return rash and I no longer feel ill. When I went back for follow up she and the office staff were astounded at the difference from my first day pictures. She was amazing. Professional, compassionate and mostly she listened to me. The receptionist at the Temecula office is extremely rude, I returned a call to schedule my daughter, the appt is over a month out and I asked if they had anything sooner as she is in a lot of pain, she stated no, I told her I would call the other office, before I could get a number she hung up on me, no good-bye or do you need the number, nothing, she just hung up. That's unacceptable, the doctors may be good but with a front desk being rude I would not recommend this place, first impression are key. read more

Where should I start? Negative 1 star for the front staff and Negative 1 star for Dr. Shiva Kheradmand, but 5 stars for the nurse, which is why my overall rating is only 2 stars. The front staff had the WORST attitude. At check-in they looked and acted super annoyed, even with their masks on! At check-out when I asked about a follow up, they snapped at me for even wanting to schedule something and the nurse had to come out to approve it. Yet they had no problem pushing me to take a customer satisfaction survey - seriously?! Dr. Kheradmand seemed like she wanted to be anywhere else except at the office. Her answers were short and she seemed bothered to answer any of my questions or concerns. I scheduled appt here and they just called to cancel because the doctor wont be there, they never texted or emailed, I think they were hoping I wasn't going to come and they would charge me a cancel fee. When I hung up, it all came back to me, I've been to this office before and The front office here is so rude! They are not friendly at all! Staffing gals are outstanding I love my Doctor as well .. she looks young but definitely very knowledgeable and knows what's she doing I have gone to a different dermatologist and all they did was prescribed expensive creams that didn't work for the dark spots on my face & also I end up with keloid scars after surgery My dermatologist ordered me a cream which was only $45 for my face to use 2 months .. within just days I noticed a big difference I'm beyond happy! saw Ms K in the Temecula office. Had over 60 scalp injections to treat my alopecia condition, was crying during the multiple injection process, had to pause her twice because of the pain. On a follow up appt, my scalp had gotten worse, so she said we could do more steroid injections, to which I replied that I couldn't take the pain again, so no thank you. THEN she says that she could numb the skin prior to getting the injections. WHAT!!! Why on earth didn't she numb my skin the first time when I was in SO much pain???? read more

I saw Dr. Carmen Huerta for barely ten minutes today and it was one of the worst interactions I have ever had with a doctor. I have never written a review but considering how terrible this visit was, I am. I will say the staff at the front desk was very kind it is only the doctor who was rude. Within five minutes she was trying to diagnose me and prescribe medications for a condition I've struggled with for over six years. She hardly asked any questions and trying to explain to her what I was experiencing felt useless, as she did not seem to care or listen much. I understand I am not a doctor, however I know myself and the condition I struggle with. What she prescribed is the very thing I informed her I can't use and she did so anyways. I recently went to Pacific Dermatology Institute for a wart removal and my experience was absolutely amazing! I was seen by Jonathan Igo, and WOW. He was so incredibly caring and attentive to what I needed as a patient as I was feeling nervous. His upbeat personality made me feel at ease and he made the procedure quick and as painless as possible, making sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. Afterwards I thanked him for being so great, he said that it was just because it was Friday but I know he is that great all the time. Upon arriving to the building I was confused as to where the office was because there is no sign in the lobby. While going up the stairs I hear a very loud women saying someone's health information or something like that and their birthday. Once I reached the office I found out it was coming from the office. A women with black hair more on the heavier side was beyond loud. Not only she was almost yelling on the phone but when she helped me she was also loud when she spoke with me. That's a hippa violation. How can this office allow someone that loud to work in a healthcare setting. I thought it was just me but she did that with every call she received and people she spoke with. Anyone from the other offices or people can hear her giving or repeating people's information. If you decide to come here beware that someone can steal your personal information because of that loud women in the front desk. The visit was ok and the doctor who i saw was John which he is amazing all the good things about him were not a lie. I gave a 3 star just because of the loud women read more

I liked "doctor" Igo a lot, but he turned out not to be a doctor. He is a nurse practitioner, which would have been fine with me, as I worked for years with nurse practitioners and they were great, but I believe I should have been informed that I was NOT seeing a dermatologist! When I needed surgery after getting the biopsy, they still would not tell me what his experience/qualifications were to do this procedure. Don't trust Pacific Dermatology Institute.
