Friendly, knowledgeable staff, I'm not afraid to get my teeth cleaned. I don't feel I'm subsidizing their kids' college tuition at Yale

I am extremely disappointed with the experience my family had at this dental office after being…read morepatients for years. My daughter was referred here by another dentist, and the referring office had already completed X-rays. Instead of obtaining those records, this office performed extensive additional X-rays that ultimately were not covered by insurance, leaving us responsible for paying out of pocket for imaging that was unnecessary. What made the situation even worse was the way it was handled. The office manager was incredibly rude and refused to acknowledge that my daughter had been referred when I asked why they didn't obtain the X-rays from the referring office, despite the fact that I had phone calls directly from their office confirming the referral. Rather than working with us to resolve the issue, the account was immediately sent to collections. After years of being loyal patients, I expected much better communication, professionalism, and customer service. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my opinion of this office, and we will not be returning.

The office staff are really sweet, the waiting area almost always has bob ross, and parking is never an issue. I'm in between jobs and I'm focusing my effort on getting insurance that is supported by Andy so I can continue care with him.

Been a few years and work benefits kicked in (they take Delta) so I had decided to come here…read more I'd driven by before and seen the fancy cursive neon purple sign and totally thought it was uhh not one of those places for children, woops. Close enough I guess when everyone's sticking their fingers and probes in your mouth. Interior was nice, they put effort in making it a cozy little cabin-esque environment but of course that only lasts in the lobby. Similar to how they massage and give cows alcohol in Japan to butter them up before leading them to their doom. At Lacamas the "doom room" happens to be pretty good though. They give you sunglasses so you can look stylish to offset how silly you look when you're constantly staring up at them mouth wide open like a newborn bird. They also have TVs on the ceiling only Spiderman could've installed so that's impressive. You'll get to watch the food network so they can make you hungry while subsequently knowing you won't be able to eat for the next couple of hours. I appreciate the subtle sadism though. The X-Ray process is tedious as they'll take upwards of 20 pictures as opposed to my past experience of about 2-4, but on the plus side it'll definitely help some of you work on that shy gag reflex (Humblebrag: I only gagged once). My teeth aren't bad, just neglected. I always brush, but regrettably don't really floss. My work was mostly done by Kolby, as the newbie she was the deck-mate tasked with scraping barnacles off the bottom of the ship. One of the first things she told me was that I have some deep pockets and at first I found that to be a bit forward but then she clarified she meant my gums. So she got to the deep cleaning and damnnn she did a good job. She transformed my teeth into a channel 5 news anchor's, I'm out here lookin like Chip Skylark now with the unforeseen side-effect of singing about my shiny teeth and me. Kolby was very attentive, considerate, informative and FUNNY. She was able to hold a conversation well and keep me entertained (which ofc isn't her job) despite only hearing a version of English you might get from a disgruntled Ogre. @Mr. Bossman, whatever she's making, she's worth double (but I think at LEAST a 5% immediate raise is fair). And lowkey Michelle too bc she's like that mentor who journeys to the top of a Tibetan mountain in her free time who, when no one else can...she WILL. She found the spot to make me go numb that only a few people can ever say they've found. They said I'm special, which I already knew based on my mom and middle school bullies telling me, but apparently my mouth is more difficult to numb because of the placements of my bones and nerves or some shit, but they nailed it along with everything else! Anyway this place is great, the staff is great, the service is great. Will be happy to continue giving them my insurance's money!

This is NOT the dentist from your nightmares! I came here…read morefor a cleaning last year and the visit was much more personal and friendly than I could've expected. ~My experience~ Walking in, you're greeted by an energetic staff actually doing work (unlike a lot dentist receptionists playing on phones). After getting signed in (electronically) you get your x-rays. Following that is a sit and talk with the dentist on a dental and personal level. The expectation of the dentist is to actually have a personal connection to their patient. This makes the entire visit more personal. Much better than the usual: walking in, getting drilled, and crying out. After my exam from the dentist, I had received the cleaning from the hygienist. Got to try out this cool laser thingy on my gum line. Then I was offered to do fluoride (not covered by my insurance) and declined. Thankfully, they are charitable and care about my teeth and it was given with no charge. I really appreciate that kindness and find this to be much more than the usual dentist who is out for your money. Leaving fresh I now awaited for my next cleaning. Scheduling an appointment six months ahead can be an easy to forget. Luckily the staff is on the ball and called me before to confirm the appointment this week. This follow up was much needed as I had to push back a week and that worked great! TLDR; -Clean facility -New technology -Friendly Staff -Personable Dentist and Hygienist -Affordable -Pre-Appointment follow-ups

BEWARE! Predatory Billing Practices…read more I want to start by saying that my complaint is NOT about the dentists or their abilities. The dentists and dental assistants are fantastic. My complaint is entirely with this office's billing practices. I have UHC HMO insurance. This provider was the only one in the area that took our insurance so we did not have other options. I know this insurance isn't the best, and this provider appears to take advantage of that. With an HMO, the provider is under contract to charge only the contracted amount for covered services. As the patient, I should not be charged more than the amount my insurance allows. I went in for a root canal and crown, and the price I was quoted was almost $900 more than the contracted amount I should have been charged. When I questioned the cost, the front desk told me, "UHC is awful and they have outdated copay amounts in their system for services most dental offices no longer offer" I then asked if there was a less expensive crown option, and I was told, "No, this is the only type of crown dental offices do now. That's what I mean. They're outdated." As a patient I have no way to know what services they provide or dont and can only take the staffs word for it. Based on those statements, I proceeded with treatment under the impression that it was my only option and signed the treatment plan. I paid a $700 down payment and enrolled in automatic monthly payments. I pushed back through my employer and contacted UHC. UHC told me that what the provider did is called balance billing and that it is not allowed, so they opened a formal complaint. During the investigation, every one of my monthly payments was made. There was one that hit right when I had a fraud charge so I logged in and made a manual payment in their system. Despite that, I was called almost daily by the billing department and threatened with collections every single month even after that one hiccup. outside of that one month, all recurring charges went through. I called the office and was told to send an email. I sent my original email plus three follow up emails and never received a response. Later, I was told I should have called instead. When I explained that I had called and was specifically instructed to email, I was told they were too busy to respond and that I should have called again after emailing (which they never advised me to do prior). It was incredibly unprofessional. I STILL have not received a response, and that was over two months ago and this is the SECOND time I was told someone from Regional would call me and never did. I question if their regional even exists. After months of back and forth, the UHC representative handling my case, who was very thorough and put a lot of effort into helping me, told me the provider claimed they absolutely do offer other crown options and that I "voluntarily" chose the more expensive one despite being provided other options. That is the complete opposite of what I was told before treatment. Because it became my word against the front desk staff's, UHC said there was nothing more they could do. As you can imagine I am furious. The following day, my husband took our kids in and was told a filling would cost $150. Knowing what had happened with my treatment, he questioned the charge. The same front desk employee told him it was not an upgraded service and was simply the only type of filling they offer. This was the EXACT SAME explanation I was given regarding the crowns so we did NOT proceed with treatment. Luckily we have left the state and live somewhere where more providers take our insurance so we are no longer forced to go here. What was even sadder was seeing them set up a similar payment plan for an elderly woman because her "HMO didn't cover much." I know I am not the only person they are doing this to. They will surely respond to this asking me to call their office which I obviously wont do. I want no other communications with this office unless its in writing with regional.

At that time, I was out of town. My 18-year-old and 16-year-old went in for teeth cleanings. They never called my husband or me to let us know that our insurance was outside of their network. They were supposed to call us and discuss everything before proceeding with the procedure. They told my 18-year-old that they had informed us about all procedures and payment options, but they never called us. Now, the front desk is telling me that my daughter is 18 years old and can sign any papers, even though they misled her by not informing us and having her sign the papers. My husband was out of work for nine months, and we were on Molina insurance. We had just set up our insurance and received calls to make appointments. For my dental treatment, they called me three times to schedule appointments. When I returned to the country and called to confirm, they told me we weren't covered with them, and I could not be seen. They could have done the same for my daughters. It was only a three-week difference between my girls' appointments and mine. How is it that they could see my daughters, but I couldn't be treated? They made a mistake. They didn't inform us that our insurance was out of network for Dental Designs. Now they want to send the bill to collections, even though we are not at fault. The front desk failed to make everything clear. PLEASE BEWARE OF THE SCAM DENTAL DESIGN IS PULLING. There must be many older people who don't even know they are being wrongly charged or given incorrect information. Having a 16-year-old sign payment papers is wrong. Telling false information to a 16- and 18-year-old is wrong.
