It's funny because I enjoy talking to them so much that it's sometimes hard to not talk, but I have to because they are working on my teeth lol. Recently I had some serious tooth pain so I called Dr. Low to see when I could come in. They got me in the next day to take an X-Ray to see what was going on. Turns out I needed a root canal. Major bum dig. I was also headed to Vegas for a few days so he prescribed me some antibiotics. Well, it ended up not getting better and I was in even more pain. I called again and he had me come in that day. He didn't have time to do the root canal on that Friday so he gave me some pain medicine for the weekend. I woke up on Saturday and was in more pain. I called him on his personal number and he actually met me at the office... on a weekend... when they are closed. Short story: He's dope. I would recommend anyone to go to Above and Beyond. They have treated us so well. I couldn't ask for a better experience at the dentist. I wish we didn't have to spend so much time and money there, but we do. Equally concerning was the way I was treated after the services were completed. The front desk staff spoke unprofessionally and dismissively, and when I had to reschedule due to an urgent life event, after providing advance notice, I was still charged a cancellation fee. The office pressured me into additional treatments by claiming I was on the verge of periodontal disease and that I had "come in just in time." This kind of fear-based upselling is deeply unethical. I strongly encourage anyone considering this dentist to take the many negative reviews seriously. Patients deserve honesty, professionalism, and respect not misleading practices and inflated bills. Superficial friendliness masking extremely poor customer service. Expect to be treated like a dollar sign, not a patient.

The other dentist (NOT distinctive) did a filling that they not only trapped blood behind, but also left a massive amount of excess composite that went passed where the tooth meets the gum and essentially made a spear slicing into the inside of my cheek. I could fit a fingernail between the excess material and the gum above my tooth. I was in a ton of pain from the resulting ulcer on my cheek and the headache from dental pain. I called distinctive and was able to get an appointment very quickly. While Dr. Kim and the assistant remained incredibly professional, they seemed surprised and were very empathetic that I was left with a filling in the condition I was. They ensured I was fully educated on my options and involved me in the creation of the treatment plan. At the first appointment they removed the excess material to ease my pain and allow the soft tissues to heal. When I went back for the repair, we had initially thought a crown was necessary, but Dr. Kim was able to successfully repair with a new filling. They could've said the significantly more expensive crown was still necessary and I wouldn't have known better, but they chose better care over making money. The procedure itself was also miles better than my experience with the other dentist--the other office had forcefully pulled my cheek away as far as possible in an attempt to access the affected back molar, while Dr. Kim gave me instructions on how to hold my jaw so he could see. He also checked in frequently to ensure I was doing okay. He also took multiple photos throughout the process so I could actually see what he was talking about, and the before and after difference was night and day. TLDR: incredibly kind and compassionate staff that truly puts patient care over profit and ensure the patient is fully informed and involved in their treatment plan. I highly recommend!

As a first time patient, Dr. Recore did not attempt to "upsell" me, and created a great plan for me to love my smile (and within a budget I did not share with her)! I put in my headphones and listened to my music and went off into my own world and they did their thing! Dr. Bardeloza Did my root canal and this was the best root canal experience I've had (and I've had a lot of root canals from various dentists). I'm leaving this review the day after and I don't feel any discomfort!! I can't even tell I had any work done!!! Christie did my temp crowns for me on my front top teeth (I have been so conscious of those teeth ) and she did BEAUTIFUL work (she tells me the permanent crowns are gonna look even better!!!) my father was a longtime patient of the previous owner and 25 years ago, My son went in after breaking his top front tooth. They were able to build his front tooth back up and he still has it to this day (not once has it broken off!). Going in as a first time patient to new ownership gave me nerves, but they settled them immediately (it's such a nice and comfortable environment with the staff, everyone is really kind). Since I was able to obtain my x-rays from the previous dental office, Oasis only required one more x-ray to get a different view of a bothersome tooth. It was a quick trip in & out, but I've never in my 40+ years of life been treated with such consideration in a dental office. I made the entire staff aware that I have anxiety, & they treated me with care w/o being patronizing. In my experience that's rare in most professional settings. I was referred to a specialist because of the extenuating circumstances, & Oasis isn't equipped for surgical procedures. I explained to the hygienist that I am a redhead and that local anesthetic often does not work well for me. That has been true since childhood. If extra time is not built in and numbness is not confirmed, scaling is extremely painful, which is why I have a long-standing aversion to dental care. I used a blunt, sarcastic comment about preferring to lose my teeth rather than go through that again. I was not refusing treatment. I was asking to be fully numb before they started. The hygienist left to discuss "options" and came back with a form stating I was refusing care and should find another dentist. There was no conversation about extra anesthetic, a longer wait, or the sedation this office advertises. I called manager Marlise Montgomery after I got home. I told her I was looking for reassurance that I would be numbed properly, not a new dentist. She said I was not a good fit, told me that as a healthcare provider I should know better than to delay treatment for periodontal disease, and suggested sleep dentistry. She offered to call back after she looked into it. The conversation had already made the outcome clear, so I declined. I was not interested in hearing the same message three times. The manager was correct: I work in healthcare. That does not exempt me from pain or anxiety. It does not mean a patient who asks to be numb is refusing care, and I should not have been shamed for my experiences. I was willing to stay and complete the treatment if I felt heard. Instead the visit ended with a dismissal form. This could have been resolved by a hygienist with an ounce of kindness or grace. That is a shame, because my previous hygienist -- who is on maternity leave -- was aware of my sensitivities and was always careful, took her time, and made me feel appropriately cared for. Most importantly, I trusted her and appreciated her. If she had been there today, I believe the outcome would have been different. Up until today I liked Oasis Dental and intended to stay with them.

I called and said I'd recently had x-rays elsewhere, can I have them transferred and get a cleaning. They said yes. I must have said 5x I wanted to come in for a cleaning and I was completely unwilling to do a "meet and greet exam" and then have to come back another day for a cleaning .who has time for that??? The day before my cleaning I call to confirm and they tell me oh no. No cleaning for me, I have to do an exam first. After I explain this is opposite of what I've been told I tell them cancel my appointment I'm not coming in for an exam and X-rays when I had them done less than a month ago already. They call me later in the day saying now they can do both at the same time if I'll give them another chance. Strange how this wasn't communicated prior. I was told multiple times it's 2 appointments. They wanted me to come in at a new time, which I could not accommodate. I also imagine most people can't be expected to change their appointment time with roughly 18 hours notice. Do they not have awareness people have children and jobs? They seems apologetic and nice but i gave up and am going back to my old dentist who I don't care for but I don't want to wait another month for a cleaning.
