Working with Jole at the gun counter I was told I could not hold the gun with out the trigger lock on it. The trigger lock had a cable connected to the counter. I get it. They don't want someone running out with it. However Jole had already asked for my ODL and had it behind the counter. I told him he could also hold my wallet and money if he like but I needed to hold the gun with out the lock on it to see if it fit my hand. nope. No can do. I told him I geld very disrespected ! he treated me like a thief. With the great feeling of disrespect, I just encountered I will be taking my business elsewhere to a completely different store for all of my needs.

She yelled from across the store at us to wear mask or she was going to throw us out of store. CDC has clearly stated masks are not needed under new guidelines. She was incredibly immature and has no proper training on how to deal with public. She should stay in the back unloading trucks or something. I added ONE extra word in the model name that wasn't there, "extreme black ops" instead of "extreme ops" and the manager that I talked to said they had the knife. I drove all the way there from Salem to find out that he thought I meant the something "guard" knife... I was so extremely irritated. A couple days later I go to this store, not expecting to find my knife. And it turns out they have ONE left. I told the manager my story and he was MORE than happy to sell it to me and went the extra length to make it completely worth getting it at this location. He was extremely friendly and nice and went out of his way to search for me. Not to mention they have THE BEST prices on knives. The manager of the Lancaster St Big 5 was super great and exactly how managers should be, although they are far and few now a days. He should get a raise for sure! Before getting to him, I spent 6 hours of online research and had spoken to 5…read moredifferent stores, trying to find an electrical pump for my Stand Up Paddle Board which had alligator clips, as the one I had was only for cigarette lighters and had already blown my fuse. Due to the time of the year, there was nothing good left online and I was facing the prospect of having to spend an additional $80 on a new pump and having to wait at least a week, or else drive 2 hours out of my way to get a dubious replacement. Matt simply suggested I buy a $10 Adapter (available at any car parts store) to convert the cigarette lighter to one that works off alligator clips - problem solved !! Super grateful to have someone knowledgable and caring solve my problem - who clearly cared more about the solution then making a sale. I highly recommend Matt and Oregon Outdoor Sports !
