Love this place!!! Fun and nurturing environment that allows for musical exploration!!! The kiddos love their music classes, they always leave with huge smiles and looking forward to their next lesson!!! Not only do they teach the classical instruments but also the unique ones like the marimba! They are awesome, must check out!!!

One of the three front classrooms

This music school is fantastic for musicians of all ages. Many types of musical instruments are taught here. They offer scholarships to needy students and are heavily involved in the community, giving performances at events like Street Fair, OC Fair, State of the City, and more. They offer school evaluations and Certificate of Merit programs, recitals and a more classical learning approach, though when they perform in town, it's usually easy listening, contemporary and rock and roll numbers. My children love Mr. Tim, Mr. Oliver and Miss Karen.

The CUT Studios has been hand picked as one of the five most compelling non-profit organizations in Orange County and will be featured in a documentary film produced by Chapman University film students. The Children's Unlimited Talent (CUT) Studios is an intervention outreach program that focuses on using music as a motivator to encourage at-risk students to work hard in school and teach them the necessary skills to become leaders in their communities. The CUT Studios' Academic Rewards Program, "Make the grades, make the CUT", grants the youth access to modern music technology and instruction in exchange for academic improvement and outstanding behavior. These films are part of COMMUNITY VOICES, a new initiative at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts to reach out, educate, and support the surrounding community. Please join us in this wonderful collaboration with the Chapman University Student Film Department. You can find the site on below link: http://ftv.chapman.edu/about/event_calendar/community_voices_documentary_screenings/ Located in beautiful Orange, California, only 45 minutes away from Hollywood and 30 minutes away from the famous Southern California beaches. Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, the state of the art Film School was established in 1996, theis facility opened in August of 2006. It includes 2 sound stages, computer labs, and 500 seat theatre. It was built on the second half of the Anaconda Wire & Cable Company property. Opened in August 2006, this 76,000-square-foot facility was specifically designed from the ground up to replicate a working production studio. From sound stages to state-of-the-art classrooms, computer labs with every program needed for pre- and post-production, design and special effects to our 500-seat Folino Theater to showcase your end result or host an amazing event, this building is a living, breathing creative space open 24/7 for your use. But it doesn't end there. For our production students, you'll have the opportunity to shoot either HD or film for your thesis projects. And all of our student productions are well managed through a detailed green light process by a team of faculty and staff to ensure that all your basic production needs are met. Plus, with our close proximity to Los Angeles and the heart of Hollywood, we maintain strong relationships with local vendors such as Panavision and Mole Richardson to give you additional support for anything beyond our inventory in Dodge College. And the technology just keeps getting better. You'll learn quickly that our philosophy is to never settle, so we are constantly upgrading our equipment to make sure our students are learning on industry-standard tools. Every year the needs of our students are assessed and new cameras are bought, computers are upgraded, and additional software is purchased. And it's nothing but the best from day one for our students. As a freshman, you will be shooting on high-definition cameras in our Introduction to Visual Storytelling class. Truly there is no better facility than Marion Knott Studios, but seeing is believing. That's why we encourage every prospective student to schedule a tour to visit Dodge College.

Thanks to their guidance, I was accepted to every college I applied to and received scholarships from most of them as an international student. At the art school I attended, someone in the financial aid office even told me that she had never seen an international student receive as much scholarship funding as I did. The instructors were incredibly kind, supportive, and genuinely cared about their students' success. Even more than 10 years later, I still keep in touch with some of them. I highly recommend Spotcolor to anyone who's serious about applying to art school or building a strong portfolio. I'm truly grateful for everything they taught me.

Public safety is also really wonderful with you and they're really caring. One of the Public Safety officers was comforting me when I was taken to the hospital on a suicide attempt at 18. This place also has an annual event called Take Back the Night where survivors of sexual assault speak out at the Fish Interfaith Center. Speaking of the Fish Interfaith Center, this place is also incredibly inclusive to people from different religious backgrounds. This place celebrates religious holidays for students from different religions. I find that really nice. I also love how this place allows people, who aren't Chapman students or staff, to come to this place. I met an older man who wanted to know how to find this place for an Iftar dinner.
