This is just sharing my experience with voilin lessons I received here. They assign you a person that knows violin, but is not specialized in it. The person we had nit pick time with us. You start at exactly the time you are suppose to be there at and you end at that exact time, not a second earlier. The service and lessons feel very impersonal and it was not a good vibe to start lessons. Also, you cannot reschedule your appointment if your child is sick or you cannot attend for a reason. You get a online lesson sent to you, not the one on one you paid for. WAA does explain this to us in the beginning, but at the end, this was one of the many reasons we didn't move forward. If you are looking for violin lessons, look for someone that specializes in only that instrument. We did not get that here. read more

My daughter (4) has been with Westminster Art Academy for 5 months. She's been working really hard every week in their Dance Program for Ballet. Every time, she runs in and says she's so excited. For the past 5 months, they have been learning and working on their dance routine. When it was time for the Summer Serenade Concert Series, man did she perform! I really saw her confidence shine! My 3-year-old has been doing ballet here for 3 months and absolutely loves it! She looks forward to every class because Ms. Jo is such a wonderful instructor, kind, patient, and incredibly talented. Fernando is awesome, he makes everything smooth with his excellent customer service. This summer, my daughter had the chance to participate in her very first recital at only 3 years old, and it was spectacular! All the kids did an amazing job, which really shows how skilled and dedicated the instructors are. In just a short time, I've seen so much growth, she's a better listener, she knows the names of the ballet poses, and her confidence shines through. Took my mildly autistic son for piano lessons since he's showed interest. He has tons of energy but learns through play and music . I explained all this on the phone before paying and scheduling. I was told they constantly work with kids on the spectrum and had the experience therefor they would pair him with the right fit. We get there and he was paired with an autistic lady who looked so freaked out when my son was trying to grab other things in the room. She was very quiet and just wanted my son to sit and read the music book. It was a waste of time. If you have a child that can sit and really follow instructions you won't have a problem . read more

We have been taking lessons here for over 4 years and we could not be happier. The people working here are always friendly and welcoming. Our daughter has been taking piano lessons with Mr. Peter for over 4 years and his expertise, patience and musical experience are top notch. He really knows how to speak to kids of all ages and the kids seem to really enjoy learning with him! Our daughter also wants to learn drums so the last few minutes of her piano lesson are spent on drums and she is ecstatic. Ms. Carrie also teaches here and teaches voice and her voice is beautiful and she's so accomplished as well. We absolutely love Westminster Arts Academy and all the teachers and staff. They also have recitals almost every quarter and we love performing in those too as it's a great confidence builder and so fun to see what the students are working on! read more

let me start off by saying I have signed both my daughters up for a couple different classes here and they have enjoyed them enough to finish the classes but not to continue long term. Still have a lot of respect for the instructors for being kind to our littles! Fernando at front desk has also always been very warm, friendly and accommodating with wonderful costumer service. With that said, this last month we have been dealing with a lot of personal hardship(I'd be getting surgery and car issues) therefore having to drain most my savings into these bills, on top of my daughter deciding she wanted a break from art class, I knew I would not have the funds to complete or pay for the following months class. A week prior to the month being over, I spoke to a young lady at the front desk and let her know I would like to drop the class for the following month, I found myself having to negotiate how many more weeks I'd be willing to pay for since, they like to give the instructors 2 weeks notice to fill their class, although I understand this is completely fair which is why I agreed, I knew my hands would be tied with finances, but still agreed on paying 2 weeks of the following class thinking I'd have half the payment of $98 dollars, still then she followed with asking if I could accommodate THEM with 3 weeks instead of just the 2?! I was flabbergasted given that I had disclosed this personal information to her to get a little more understanding of my circumstances . She came off insensitive, I was shocked on her persistence, but still tried meeting her half way trying to understand from a business standpoint. As the month of May approached both my and my husbands car completely broke down, which you can imagine came with a lot of stress and more drainage to our savings. I did not have the funds for even the last 2 weeks I was persuaded to sign off on. I had received a couple messages from Teresa asking for payment, when I responded that unfortunately as I figured I could not come up with the funds even if to them it was only $44 dollars, on end my end my finances were so tied with rent,car reparations on 2 cars and medical bills over 8k in just one month, I couldn't make payment otherwise I would have more than willingly paid. Her text messages came off very condescending and although stating she understood ,Teresa and the other young lady's vibe and energy came off as insensitive.Im not one to leave reviews nevertheless a bad one, since I myself work customer service and understand business, but walking away from this situation left me with a very icky and wrong feeling about their costumer service. I do not plan on having my child back unless properly addressed. Although many may disagree and feel I might be unreasonable or being extra, I personally would have never pushed a payment on someone who is clearly going through personal financial issues especially if expressed, it can be hard to admit the reality of life's struggle sometimes, and to have gotten this in response just felt wrong to me. I decided to not take my daughter to her last class so they can at least have one paid week, where they can save on the supplies being used. I expected a more understanding approach especially since No one ever specified on the 2 week drop policy, I would've dropped within the correct time period if done so. Teresa's response to her poor customer service review was "love this" reaction. Fernando tried contacting me to resolve the issue. Thank you but I will no longer bring service to the academy. read more

I recently enrolled my toddler in the Pop Ballet is Fun class at Westminster Arts Academy in Westminster, CA. I know about their program through the Westminster City Community Classes brochure. The academy is located in a small plaza with limited parking, mostly street parking, but it's worth the hassle. The class is for toddlers, and it's been great so far! The main instructor was out, but the two substitute instructors were amazing. The current instructor, whose name I, unfortunately, did not catch, is very knowledgeable and super friendly. She introduces techniques to the kids in a way that keeps their attention and makes learning fun. My kid loves going to class, and I can see improvements in her coordination and balance. I highly recommend Westminster Arts Academy, especially their ballet classes for toddlers. The instructors are fantastic and the class is well-structured. read more

We have been with Westminster Arts Academy right before the pandemic hit. Our early years have been on Zoom and about the last two years or so we've been in the classroom for live sessions. Now about 4.5 years later, my son still loves drumming. He is also starting to learn piano. His teacher Mr. Peter Daniel has been very kind, patient and open to what my son wants to learn and play. He finds a way to tie his teaching to the song choice. Also, we appreciate Mr. Peter continuing to ensure my son is following the proper techniques and form good habits. A big congratulation is respectfully given to Westminster Arts Academy on the last Winter Concert at the Rose Center. Thank you Ms. Teresa and the teachers for all the students' beautiful performances. We had wonderful evenings with music, dance, singing and most of all, the cheer, the support and love from teachers by the stage curtain and from families in the audience. My children have been taking classes for many years since October of 2020. My niece is also an art student here for many years. Her paintings are beginning to look like they come from an artist. My children have been studying ballet with Ms. Teresa and Mr. Matt. They are taking voice classes with Ms. Sara and Mr. Joshua. They had also learned and enjoyed the guidance from other dance and music instructors at this school. I have taken my children to many schools in Orange County to search for good teachers. At Westminster Arts Academy I feel that I found not only a school but also a family. The owners, the staffs and the teachers made me feel welcomed like I am in their own house. The school is always clean. All classrooms are equipped with real pianos and computers. I really like the system that allow the teachers to send the study materials and a reminder for exam on line after class. This system is also provided for the communication between parents and teachers. This school often gave out many extra classes on line for current students without any fee. The teachers are knowledgeable and dedicated. They talk to the students and parents. If I have questions I can ask them without hesitation. If I have concern or suggestion the staffs and the teachers are listening. I appreciate the people who work at the front desk very much, Mr. Fernando, Ms. Gabby and Ms. Delilah. They are warm and are available to assist the customers and resolve issues. The coffee is great and is ready for the parents and teachers everyday. The drinking water is cold and is crystal clear for the children. You can see a touch of art and care from Ms. Teresa in every room, even at the coffee table and in the bathrooms. As a person who's received extensive education in visual arts, I have to say that I was floored by Westminster Arts Academy the second I took a step through their door. It is like a school and the teachers assign homework (for practice). There are showcases for all students to present their hard work. The atmosphere is incredible- positive, encouraging, and creative. The students are all passionate and it's heartwarming to witness so many band together over their similar artistic interests. I saw that some students are enrolled in multiple conservatories! The teachers are attentive, patient, and take their time to ensure their students understand the concepts their teaching. HUGE shout out to Teresa, one of the owners there. She personally welcomed our family on the first day and calmed all of our nerves for it being our first day. We have been using Westminster art academy for about 8 months now. We started during the pandemic because they were offering zoom classes during the lockdown and we couldn't do our previous in person lessons. The zoom was as could be expected for my 6 year old daughter, involved a lot of parent participation but we were able to stay on track and last month we started coming in person. The location is clean, there are multiple teachers teaching at the same time. They have a lot of types of classes I've seen guitar, drums, group Jackie one of the coordinators is always very sweet. And we love our current teacher Ms. Han, she is patient with jumpy young kids. I wish they offered an option for instructors to come to your house (we would pay extra) but otherwise it's a great spot. read more

Ever since my daughter started piano lessons here, she seems to have found a new passion. She had lessons at 2 other schools in the past 3 years, but she never felt motivated to go. With her other instructors at other schools, she said they were strict and just told her to play and go home and practice. One instructor gave up on her and just collected the our monthly payments. Here at Westminster Arts Academy, she says Instructor Ben is funny and shows her the correct and proper fingering. Also, there isn't a workbook with all these theories.
