Public safety is also really wonderful with you and they're really caring. One of the Public Safety officers was comforting me when I was taken to the hospital on a suicide attempt at 18. This place also has an annual event called Take Back the Night where survivors of sexual assault speak out at the Fish Interfaith Center. Speaking of the Fish Interfaith Center, this place is also incredibly inclusive to people from different religious backgrounds. This place celebrates religious holidays for students from different religions. I find that really nice. I also love how this place allows people, who aren't Chapman students or staff, to come to this place. I met an older man who wanted to know how to find this place for an Iftar dinner. I showed him where it was and he went in here, and he got the food. This place has also been really wonderful to me when I was a victim of financial sextortion at 18. I met a lot of people who were amazing and kind to me after I shared with them about my experience. I had a case manager who comforted me when I was going through the trauma of this. I also had a professor who comforted me and told me that financial sextortion wasn't my fault at all. The 4th floor on the Argyos Forum is a great place for career fairs, and a great place to meet with potential employers. I got a chance to meet with a Secret Service employer who was such a wonderful man. This place also has wonderful areas to take your graduation photos from. In fact, if you come here during the months of April to mid-May, you'll find lots of graduating students posing for photographers.

I completed the phlebotomy program at this college, and honestly, my experience was very…read moredisappointing. The course felt mostly self-taught rather than instructor-led. Nearly every class consisted of the instructor reading PowerPoint slides word-for-word directly from the textbook for almost two hours straight. There was very little actual teaching, explanation, or student engagement, which made the class extremely boring and difficult to stay focused in. One of the biggest issues was that important topics were skipped during lectures, yet some of that material still appeared on quizzes and exams. We only had two exams throughout the course, and the quizzes/exams felt like they were taken directly from Quizlet instead of being properly developed for the program. The instructor clearly has knowledge in phlebotomy, but the teaching methods and professionalism were lacking. At times the instructor mumbled through lectures, used unclear explanations, and showed little interest in improving the class experience. Even simple class activities like Kahoot games often turned into long delays because of technical difficulties accessing them. The most important part of a phlebotomy course is the hands-on training, since students are practicing venipuncture on each other. Unfortunately, even that part of the program was poorly managed. Many of the phlebotomy tubes used during training were expired or had no suction, making it much harder for students to practice properly and creating unnecessary frustration during an already stressful learning experience. Overall, the program felt unorganized, outdated, and not worth the time and money I invested. The lack of effective teaching, poor student engagement, and inadequate hands-on resources made this a very disappointing educational experience. At the end of the program, students are required to take the NHA certification exam. I was able to pass, but honestly, most of my preparation came from studying online materials, practice tests, and mock exams that I found on my own outside of class. I learned more independently online than I did from the actual course instruction.

The only review you need - June 2023…read more After reading the reviews (most of the bad ones are really old) I felt compelled to offer my review having just completed my Bachelors degree this week. Though CCU is not your traditional college, it definitely has its place in further education. It is super convenient for someone like me who works full-time+, on top of having a two kid family. I was referred to CCU by a former student because I had limited time to complete my degree for an upcoming LT promotional opportunity and their self-paced program was perfect for me. The price was very reasonable too. If you're like me, 25 years into your career and just need that BA/BS degree to promote, this is your best choice. Education Like I said, the timing and class structure are convenient, but it is by no means easy. You still have to read, pay attention, write a lot, and pass the exams. I'm a good writer for the most part, but I did have a couple of papers failed/kicked back because I rushed through them (the feedback from the professor was spot on). So, no you can't just submit anything and pass. It's open book, but still challenging. I actually learned quite a bit at my old age! Staff 5 star staff, you won't convince me otherwise. Debbie during the admissions process, and Taylor my student advisor during my coursework, were outstanding. Communicated often, answered promptly, and were just nice helpful people all around. They didn't just be nice to get me to sign for the money part then leave me out to dry. In fact, the promotional opportunity I talked about came unexpected early, and I needed an unlikely miracle favor. Taylor and each one of my professors were EXTREMELY quick and helpful, and made sure my miracle came true. I have nothing but outstanding things to say about CCU. It opened up a life-changing door for me. I Just bought me a couple T-shirts and a sweatshirt from prep sportswear, that's how proud I am of them!

California Coast University is definitely the best University. All of the staff were great and very helpful. The course work was doable and wasn't stressful. Instructors were understandable , kind , and didn't take long to grade coursework. I love the entire set up of online classes here. It's straight to the point. Hopefully I will be able to finish my degree here when I can afford it . My total experience was 10/10
