Professional and awesome staff. Special recognition to Mr. E and Mr. Liu for their extreme IT knowledge (Personally I've had both as instructors for most of my program). The students are the ones that make it sketchy and weird when they act out. Lately, all I worry about is graduating because I am really going to miss this campus. The Anaheim campus has the best school with a convenient entrance and exit, free parking, Platt college special free coffee, hot chocolate, cappuccino, and continuous events to keep us engaged with one another. Including the honor society. Oh, I almost forgot a food truck that is conveniently there daily with prices that everyone can afford. Best of all they respect everyone. Our Military is highly respected and loved. The dean, career services, student services, the librarian, and the rest of the staff work very hard to accommodate your needs. The academic dean is very helpful and professional alongside with the school director they care about your success. -Guzman, Irene USMC

I'm writing this because i wish that someone had written it for me when i was first looking at this…read moreschool. Do not go here, from my experience these people do not care about the students they only care about money. The DMS program i was in was terrible, they have the same one teacher teaching pretty much all of the classes and she was totally incompetent. She would fall asleep during class, get distracted throughout the lessons, and then yell at us because we were behind. If you want to go here be prepared to teach yourself everything. My entire cohort and other past students that i've talked to feel completely scammed by this school and when we graduated they basically told us that our degree was from Platt now so if we bad mouthed them we would only be harming ourselves. And bonus- they will bombard you with calls after you graduate so have fun with that (it will feel like harassment, personally speaking). If you were looking for a sign not to go here, this is it. This is a for profit school for a reason, they only care about their profits. I am embarrassed to put this school down on my resume, I wasted years on a pretty much useless degree that does not mean anything in the real world. From the administration to the teachers, this school sucks, point blank. Take their yelp rating seriously and go to community college or literally anywhere else. I wish did!

Out of all the instructors I have had, the one who has been the most helpful and supportive to me has been Miss G, our OB instructor. Miss G has been very hands-on and has always taken the time to answer my questions and help us whenever she could. She has prepared us well for going out into clinicals, and I know that if I ever need help or have a question, she is only an email away and is always quick to respond. I honestly would have loved for Miss G to be the one handing me my diploma because she has been more than just an instructor to me she has been a mentor. She is truly one of the best instructors I have had throughout this program. Miss Rich, the program director and also our physics instructor, is also a good teacher. I can honestly say that her teaching skills are very good, and she knows the material well. The only challenge is that she is extremely busy and has a lot on her plate, so sometimes emails may not get answered or may receive a response much later. Overall, I don't think the program itself is as bad as some people have made it seem. It is definitely fast-paced and can be overwhelming at times, but I think a lot depends on your experience with the instructors and the support you receive. If I were to rate the school, the main reason I would give it 4 stars is because of Miss G. She has genuinely made a difference in my experience in this program. Her patience, hands-on teaching, encouragement, and willingness to help have made me feel more prepared and confident going into clinicals. I am truly grateful for everything she has taught us and for the support she has given me throughout this journey.

I had a very disappointing experience at this pharmacy technician program. While they do offer some…read moresupport, in my experience, that support was often offered at times when I was unable to attend, and the program was not very flexible when students had legitimate circumstances preventing them from coming in. The program often felt like "sink or swim." I felt like students were expected to figure out a lot on their own, and I did not feel like I received the level of instruction, guidance, or flexibility I needed to succeed. Important information was also not always communicated clearly or upfront, making it difficult to understand exactly what I was committing to before enrolling. There were multiple occasions where I experienced serious medical circumstances and felt like I was essentially being told to "suck it up" and come to class anyway. I experienced a horrible car accident and also dealt with a lung infection, among other situations. I understand that attendance and program requirements are important, but I expected some level of understanding and compassion when dealing with genuine emergencies and medical situations. Instead, I often felt like the expectation was simply to show up regardless of what was happening. When I eventually realized the program was not a good fit for me, I repeatedly requested to withdraw before the deadline. Instead of simply processing my withdrawal, I was repeatedly pushed into meetings and pressured to reconsider. I was told that a meeting was mandatory in order to unenroll, but the meeting did not actually result in my withdrawal being processed. The process continued to be delayed, which was extremely frustrating because I had already made my decision. I also was not the only student who expressed concerns. Several of my classmates had similar frustrations about the learning environment, communication, flexibility, and the way students were handled when they struggled or wanted to leave. I also witnessed concerns involving pregnant students. Some students were given the impression that they would be able to complete the program without an issue, only to later be told that they had a limited amount of time to finish certain requirements or risk being dropped. In my opinion, requirements and time limitations like these should be clearly explained before students enroll--not disclosed at the last minute after students have already invested significant time and money. Overall, I felt that the program placed a lot of emphasis on keeping students moving forward, but not enough on meeting students where they actually were. Encouragement is important, but so are transparency, flexibility, compassion, and making sure students have all of the information they need before committing to a program. My advice to anyone considering enrolling is to ask very detailed questions about all deadlines, withdrawal policies, attendance requirements, medical/emergency policies, pregnancy or leave policies, externship requirements, and exactly what happens if you cannot complete a requirement on time. Get everything in writing and make sure you fully understand the financial consequences before enrolling. I personally left the program feeling unheard and frustrated by how difficult the withdrawal process became. I hope the school takes feedback like this seriously and works toward creating a more transparent, flexible, and supportive environment for its students.

This place also has an annual event called Take Back the Night where survivors of sexual assault speak out at the Fish Interfaith Center. Speaking of the Fish Interfaith Center, this place is also incredibly inclusive to people from different religious backgrounds. This place celebrates religious holidays for students from different religions. I find that really nice. I also love how this place allows people, who aren't Chapman students or staff, to come to this place. I met an older man who wanted to know how to find this place for an Iftar dinner. I showed him where it was and he went in here, and he got the food. This place has also been really wonderful to me when I was a victim of financial sextortion at 18. I met a lot of people who were amazing and kind to me after I shared with them about my experience. I had a case manager who comforted me when I was going through the trauma of this. I also had a professor who comforted me and told me that financial sextortion wasn't my fault at all. The 4th floor on the Argyos Forum is a great place for career fairs, and a great place to meet with potential employers. I got a chance to meet with a Secret Service employer who was such a wonderful man. This place also has wonderful areas to take your graduation photos from. In fact, if you come here during the months of April to mid-May, you'll find lots of graduating students posing for photographers.

I received my ATT (approval to test) within one week from my last day. I had the option to test immediately but I had applied to test with accommodations so with limited centers for accommodations I tested 1 month out in August and passed the first time. I worked closely with our Careers Center and the director Dr. Willinger to create an amazing resume right after receiving my license, began applying to jobs immediately and received an invitation to interview within one week for DaVita. Two weeks later I received an invitation to interview for an ER position close to home which was my first choice to build a strong foundation as a new nurse. I know there are a lot of negative comments about this school on here. I have heard and watched a lot of sad and crazy experiences that my friends and other peers endure with staff and faculty throughout my 3.5 years there. I have experienced questionable professors and staff who are obviously there for the paycheck. On the other end, I have met 2x as many INCREDIBLE staff and faculty throughout my time at Stanbridge. People need to understand that this is still a relatively new program and it's still working through a lot of adjustments both within the programs itself, how they handle students, and how they handle staff. But with being new comes an advantage to incoming students because with the help of the right people and resources, there is flexibility and grace that comes with a class or a term that possibly end in a fluke (I.e. bad professors, missing classes due to extreme circumstances, etc.). I understand this is not everyone's experience, but I HAVE seen multiple times where the school does work with students to properly evaluate their knowledge of a subject a second time if there is overwhelming evidence showing it was not properly done the first time. It also is dependent on how an issue is communicated as well. Any nursing program out there is hard and rigorous. Stanbridge is not unique to this. I can confidently say that I went in to the NCLEX feeling so prepared because of how this school preps you. If you follow testing strategies and work closely with the coaches at the end of the program YOU. WILL. PASS. From Term 1 Stanbridge works with students not just on building testing stamina but building testing stamina while sleep deprived. It's not officially an actual thing. They always told us to be well rested and to eat before but, the reality of any nursing program is adequate sleep is simply not possible. You just have to get through each term and pass. Keep moving even if you have a set back, do your best to not stop. I have no idea how many times I thought to myself that I will more than likely not remember anything after the program and I questioned if I really actually learned anything. I have been an ER nurse for almost 7 months now. Every moment of feeling competent, confident, and proud to be a nurse I owe to Stanbridge. While most of my peers in my new grad program have forgotten a lot of basics and high priorities, I am one of the few who still remembers and I am so thankful. I had zero medical background coming into the program. My science gpa at a 3.5 was not competitive enough for CCs, UCs, or CSUs to see me as a priority candidate for their RN program. Stanbridge was the first school to take a chance on me and invest in me. Before Stanbridge I was never the student who was picked for scholarships, awards, or special internships. The last 2 years at Stanbridge I received scholarships every term, was selected for Student Hospital Fellowship, received the Presidential Service Award, and ended the program with the Thomas Fuentes Service Award. This was all because ONE staff member encouraged me to apply each time an opportunity was sent out. The Stanbridge experience is truly what YOU choose to make it. I have met some amazing people with incredible hearts at this school. I loved that I don't need to hike or walk a mile to get to class. I loved that I only needed to be on the ground once or twice a week. Nursing school was THE hardest thing I have ever done. I gave up my entire life for 3 years just to eat, live, breathe, and sleep nursing. You can ensure your success in this program if you want this more than anything else. There will be times where you have to pick school over your family and it sucks. But being on the other side now, it is SO worth it and now I have the rest of my life. My husband is currently in the program now and is in term 4 at the OC campus. He hasn't been in school full time in over 10 years and he is doing amazing. I'm proud to be a nurse and I'm proud to be a Stanbridge Alum. The cost for tuition is pretty steep. If you have a good tribe behind you and can afford to not work during the program, I highly recommend it!
