They knew I was going to post this review if they did not reply, which they haven't. I've now downloaded a ride share app on my phone. I booked a cab from home to YVR Airport. I *SPECIFICALLY* stated to the dispatcher 5 times that we needed a cab for 5 passengers. The dispatcher *ASSURED* me that she understood. The cab arrived, but only seated 4 passengers. Obviously, we could not risk missing our flight. I had to put my kids in the first cab, and allowed the driver to call a nearby Pacific cab, which brought us in time to YVR where we met our kids. If I was not worried about missing our flight, I would have cancelled and used a rival cab. My family incurred literally 200 % cab fare we expected to pay, due to the dispatcher not sending us a five (5) seater. If the fleet does NOT have five seater vehicles, we should have been told on the phone. This was a great inconvenience and financial expenditure on my family, paying for two rides, while Pacific cabs made twice the profit. We also could have missed our flight.

We yelled at him to speed up and he pretended not to hear us. On the 99 highway, he stayed behind an 18 wheeler for almost 5 minutes with us yelling for him to pass. There wasn't any traffic that night and the passing lane was empty most of the time. Yet he wouldn't pass untill my Wife yeld at him as well as myself. finally he passed the 18 wheeler and then went back down to 80KMs again. Usual fare by Taxi is $72-$75.00 for this fare. We know because we fly 4 times a year, taking Taxis. His fare was $95.32 and took not the usual 30 to 35 minutes but 50 plus minutes. We complained to the B.B.B. and the Manager tried to justify the high fare by saying their Drivers are told to drive below the speed limit for safety reasons. B.S. 5KMs below is being safe 20KMs below is a good way to cause an accident. WARNING: Surdell Kennedy Taxis are driving way below the speed limit to increase their fares. Your meter registrars not only Kms but Minutes as well.

The Black Top and Checker Cab ride was from the UBC Museum of Anthropology back to our WorldMark condo. The guy wasn't particularly talkative (not a requirement) and are ride just fine.

He was being dropped off at his home share providers home and Handi-darts policy states a door to door hand off, which was not done. instead of the driver walking my son to the front door, he/she/it dropped him off in an alley near the house (in the rain) and the driver left. my son walked to a neighboring house and was able to ask for help using his iPad with the occupant, who then called the Police. long story, short....my son was missed up with another special needs client in the same taxi and they were both dropped off at the wrong address on the street/alley in the rain to fend for themselves. I am throughly disgusted by the taxi service and the driver. these people are less than humans in my opinion and should never be allowed to be in the service industry.

We have been using Excel for transport within Vancouver and to/from Whistler for about a decade…read more We've used it for our individual family and a group as large as 24 in a private minibus. The booking process is easy, the manager Howie is responsive and easy to work with. The drivers are always on time and courteous. On our most recent trip, there was a terrible accident on highway 99 which delayed us 7 hrs! We had multiple families traveling on together in a large van, half children under the age of 8. The kids were going stir crazy and so were the parents. The person that was not frazzled at all was our driver Johan. He was with us the whole way, taking us to dinner in Squamish, driving us around town looking for a place to entertain the kids and wait for the roads to reopen. We ended up having to hang out at a Walmart for several hours. By the time we got to Whistler was about midnight, on a 5p planned arrival. Johan never stopped being courteous, kind, and friendly. I can't imagine how tired and frustrating the ordeal must have been for him, yet he never let it showed and it made the journey so much more pleasant despite the circumstances. We've never had a bad experience with Excel.

I've bumped it to 4 stars because the driver was amazing. He handled my frustration beautifully and he immediately called the office to find out what had happened. He represented the company infinitely better than the dispatchers. He explained what went wrong and what the company was doing to prevent it from happening again. And his vehicle was spotless. Original review This is not the company to use if you want your cab to show.up on time. My cab iwas 45 mins late. I recently injured my leg and the extended wait time was literally painful.
