I also can try the cul de sacs, however most times these side streets are pretty crowded. w So why would I need to go the park when it's raining? Well, just like everyone else around the area, I have a dog and I live in a townhouse. Poor puppy will wake me up at 2 am if I don't get her good and tired. So, we go to the park. Leading into the secondly... Secondly, I have been doing this for over a year and by now, my dog has friends. Like, a lot of friends. And the humans aren't so bad either. We, dogs adn humans, all get along swimmingly, giving both our dogs and us a chance to socialize. We share water bowls and trade dinner ideas, rosemary and training tips. It's a responsible, playful and peaceful scene. For the kids, there is a jungle gym that can get crowded, tennis backboards, and basketball courts. Also open space for playing whatever else you can think of. It can get crowded in the afternoon with baseball practice and the A-plus kids. Also the kids can leave a lot of rubbish and snacks around that the dogs can get into, so you gotta watch that. But other than that, its a fun, sober, happy hour. See you there!

The path is paved, wide, and stroller/ tricycle/ scooter-friendly, so it works well for both adults and kids. The whole place has a calm, welcoming vibe. There are enough people around that it doesn't feel empty, but never crowded. There are several playgrounds scattered along the loop, which makes them great "pit stops" if you're there with kids. The playgrounds aren't brand new, but they're in decent condition and set on rubber flooring. They're perfect for active toddlers and slightly older kids. Our two-year-old can enjoy the slides and smaller features without it feeling overwhelming or dangerous. The only thing I wish is that there were a few more benches near the playgrounds for parents to sit and relax. The park itself is beautiful, with lots of trees providing shade and greenery that stays fresh even in the hotter months. Lately, the flowering trees have been blooming with pinkish-yellow blossoms. There are also picnic tables and restrooms available (didn't check the restrooms personally, but they're there).

With soccer practices, soccer games, and a…read moreconvenient playground and restrooms here, we have been coming here roughly 3-4 days a week recently. I grew up in the area and never spent so much time here until now. It's a well taken care of and clean park. Lots and lots of parking stall, and lots of street parking as well. This park can get downright crazy on the weekends with all the clubs and sports that go on here. Two gripes though: 1. We recently notices that parts of the playground have been deteriorating and is in dire need of a fixing, before someone gets hurt. Always check out the playground before you let your kids play on it. 2. We truly wish there was a restroom at the upper part of the park too, besides the one in the rec center that they don't allow anyone to use. It's an absolute pain to be at the playground with the littles, and all of a sudden one needs the restroom and you either have to walk all the way down and back up, or drive... ugh... Otherwise, we love this park!

There's shade to park under the trees in the parking lot but I wouldn't want to hang out here alone. Just doesn't feel safe here. I would rather go where it's quiet and you don't get the hustle and bustle here. I had to use the restroom and it was kind of disgusting but if you gotta go, you gotta go. There were no soap dispensers so you only washing your hands with water. I thought it was strange that there were no mirrors either. I only come here to park under shade and wouldn't go down to just hang out. Just an okay park. It's pretty big. There's even a skate park behind the basketball courts.

I know that lots of places that kids frequent are prone to lots of germs and what not; and kids are notorious for getting sick. But I stopped bringing them here because everytime we did, they would get sick. But now just with a common cold or minor sick. They get really sick. My son once picked up some bacterial infection that carried in poop from an infected person that frequents medical facilities! Gross! It was not fun! And this is not an exaggeration, they were literally getting ill evwrytime we brought them to this park. I didn't realize it then, but check out other playgrounds, you'll notice that this one is pretty nasty compared to a lot of others. The trash cans are almost always full, the weeds get pretty horrendous, it's always loaded with flies, and you can always find piles of dog poop that people don't pick up in the grass. On another note, there are always tons of bigger kids frequenting this playground with no adult supervision, sitting around the jungle gym, making it harder for little ones to play. Anyway, after playground hopping with my two Littles, we've found so many more playgrounds that are better taken care of, cleaner, and friendlier. Never mind that this one happens to be most convenient for us, convenience is no longer a priority in our playground situation.

What I don't like is the poor field conditions, the lack of cutting the really tall brush adjacent to the fields, and the millions of mosquitos. Watching my daughter's soccer practice is painful, not because she can't play (she's my own little Natasha Kai, thank you very much), but because of the little critters chewing on my flesh for 2.5-hours. You'd think I'd get a can of 'OFF' by now, but nah...I spend my money on sunflower seeds! There is not enough parking stalls at the top of the park, but drive down to the bottom closer to the fire station and there's a large lot and plenty of street parking. No matter, I just love sitting in my soccer-viewing chair and enjoying the view. It makes up for being eaten alive!
