An impromptu visit lead us to this park, we stopped in Mililani for a few of my favorite business, stopped to get breakfast and realized that business was still take out only. My other half drove around looking for a park to eat our breakfast & ended up here at Mililani District Park. This worked out perfect, I love and noticed the huge trees, right next to the parking lot and lucky we found the last empty picnic table to enjoy. Great job City and County for keeping this park nice, green & clean. While eating and taking a walk around the park, I observed people just enjoying a nice day doing outdoor kine things, there was a few family picnics, Easter egg hunt, during Easter weekend, kids enjoying skate park and playground. I don't mind spending more time here at this park but we had a busy schedule so it was off to continue our Saturday adventures.

Most the old reviews are for a different park. Pacheco Neighborhood Park is located at the…read moreintersection of Kamehameha Hwy and Waimano Home Road. It shares an entrance with Pearl Harbor Elementary School. The park has two ball fields, a basketball court, tennis/pickleball court, and restrooms. The restrooms are open 24/7 which unfortunately has people in it for no reason at all. It just does not make it safe to use the bathroom when there are others just there. If it weren't for the bathrooms, then this place would be pretty decent. But the bathrooms bring this place down. The courts themselves are in ok. And the ball fields, while not spectacular, are decent. There are bleachers, but the ones under the trees are graffitied up. I know it sounds like I should bring the ratings down some more, but the park is usable. Parking is above the park, so be prepared to walk the stairs or take the ramp down. And for irony, the police station is right up mauka from the park, but you won't find any cops hanging around here.

Earlier in the day it's not as bad, even with Zumba (8:00 on Saturdays). There's another small lot further down by the baseball fields. The indoor basketball court is in relatively decent shape. The bathrooms are "closed for renovations" but the ones in the multipurpose room (where Zumba is held) is open. It's strange coz you'd have to walk through the kitchen of sorts to get there. There are a few picnic tables outside the multipurpose rooms. There murals on the walls are faded but they must have been pretty cool in their day. Unfortunately there are leaks; must have rained overnight. The indoor basketball court is one of the better maintained areas in this park. 4 stars for indoor court, 3.5 stars overall from my couple of daytime visits and impression.

If this was me back in the days... this would've been my GO TO area for a "break-time". Otherwise, I like how it's IS n the same grounds as the school because it makes it so much easier for parents with babies to entertain the little ones while waiting for their high schoolers to finish school or whatnot. Also, this place fills up super quickly when they DO have activities. And the activities ARE REALLY FUN TOO! We used to always sign up our children to participate in this community center & they always had a lot of fun. But since COVID, the state has limited center locations to hold most community activities, lessons & courses. So now, it's either at Halawa District Park or Salt Lake District.

I grew up in the area and never spent so much time here until now. It's a well taken care of and clean park. Lots and lots of parking stall, and lots of street parking as well. This park can get downright crazy on the weekends with all the clubs and sports that go on here. Two gripes though: 1. We recently notices that parts of the playground have been deteriorating and is in dire need of a fixing, before someone gets hurt. Always check out the playground before you let your kids play on it. 2. We truly wish there was a restroom at the upper part of the park too, besides the one in the rec center that they don't allow anyone to use. It's an absolute pain to be at the playground with the littles, and all of a sudden one needs the restroom and you either have to walk all the way down and back up, or drive... ugh... Otherwise, we love this park!

The good thing about this park is that only 2 games are going on simultaneously vs 3. Fortunately there is ample shade on both sides to keep the fans from overdose of UV rays or heat stroke. Our team's practice was after 11 a.m. so the kiddies were playing in the heat of the day. Amazing how they can run back and forth across the field in that temperature. Just so happened there was someone close by intermittently playing Jawaiian type music so that was cool. The field was not muddy or overgrown, just dry so that was appreciated plus close enough and easy to walk to. I don't recall the baseball field being used often and since there is a basketball gym across the street, the court hasn't been used recreationally. Since it's a small park and hidden very well in Whitmore, it's not crowded. You shouldn't find parking an issue, but it is street parking only. There is a little market across the street for snacks and it's walkable. Furthermore, there is a Filipino lunch spot known as Merlina's.
