The prices are super high, they don't work with insurance well and my super expensive mouth guard which I had to have adjusted several times (I feel like it also moved teeth rather than fitting to them) it cracking after only a year. All my other mouth guards for the last 13 years never broke. They also sell hard on the cosmetic. It's just not for me. read more

I'm pretty sure I've been seeing "Dr. Vern" for my whole life. My parents started taking me to his practice well before I could decide for myself. I don't live nearby but Ive always been scared, uneasy, high strung with people working in my mouth and Dr. Vern has always been gentle, and easygoing with me. He has a calm about him that always makes my experiences at the dentist go well. Truthfully considering there are times when I've cried and pulled equipment out of my mouth in the mists of a full on panic attack, the fact they put up with me and with a smile is why I keep coming back. New city, new dentist. I'm very pleased with my selection! First of all, the murals in the exam rooms on the walls are really cute and fun to look at, very relaxing. Good mags in the waiting room. And the "Book of Who's Who" featuring the Dr. himself! Everyone was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, the equipment was high-tech...loved seeing the exray on a computer screen instantly! Dr. Erwin is everything I wanted in a dentist. He talked to me about my overall mouth health and together are planning the best way for me to be at my best possible oral health. Update: After an unexpected bill ($300 more than anticipated, despite a breakdown of costs), I was able to come to an agreement with Dr. Erwin's staff. Cheryl was very accommodating of my situation, and the experience was on par with my first visit there. All staff members are truly kind. The work is excellent. You will be in very good hands. Dirty place. Office equipment was old cracked and filthy. You could see clumps of dusty crud on the medical equipment. The dentist wore the same gloves when he came into my room, open the drawers, adjusted the light (which was not washed or covered), used the computer, went to another patient then came back, etc. Gross There was no detoxification pre or post like he said on his website. He removed my mercury fillings and replaced them with the white ones. He did not follow the special protocol like he said on the website. There were clumps of mercury in my mouth that he did not get, I did not have an oxygen mask on to avoid the vapors, The wait time was horrible...hours! read more

I thought I would have trouble finding another wholistic, non-toxic dentist in the same neighborhood after I stopped seeing Dr. Sarkissian, but was pleasantly surprised to find this office. Everything I have experienced with them has been great, and I am keeping Dr. Erwin. The receptionist was very competent and concerned. My initial intake exam/assessment was very thorough. I appreciate the digital X-Rays which show up right on the computer monitor after they are done. My hygienist is very thorough and gentle, and Dr. Erwin keeps up not just with dentistry, but with complimentary, non-toxic technology. He even knows about trigger points! read more

BUYER BEWARE !!!! I wanted and paid $ 185.00 for x rays. Instead of X rays that would have shown extensive gum disease I got full mouth "pictures" of the exterior of my teeth and 2 bite wing x rays.. I had to pay an additional $150.00 for a set of " full mouth x rays" so another dentist could see, and accurately diagnose the health of my gums and teeth. I have extensive gum problems. In spite of me telling the receptionist I needed a deep cleaning, this seemed to be ignored and the cleaning that was scheduled (later canceled ) was not the deep peroi quadrant cleaning that was needed and requested. Went here on a recommendation and was extremely disappointed. We took our 5 year old son here as we were drawn to the holistic approach of dentistry. We knew our son needed fillings and had high hopes that Dr. Erwin would handle it responsibly. What our son ended up experiencing felt more like torture. To this day, when my husband (who was present) talks about it, he tears up at having to witness our son screaming out in sheer agony as his fillings were being done with no anesthesia or pain killer. Our son had NEVER, EVER been afraid of the dentist he'd previously been to, in fact, he loved going. After that experience, even now whenever I let him know he has a dentist appointment coming up (we've since gone back to our previous dentist) he'll ask with trepidation, "Which dentist, mommy? The one where they did that stuff to my teeth?" To think of how traumatic that must've been for my baby to still remember, makes me equal parts sad and incredibly infuriated. How do you not give a CHILD anything for fillings?? We should've left well enough alone and stayed with our original pediatric dentist. Perhaps others have had a great experience with Dr. Erwin, but that isn't the case for our family. I wish I could've written a more positive review, and God knows it took me so long to write this because it was too painful to recall, but this is our child, and when it comes to him, I can't mince words. read more

Not only did he know my last dentist, Dr. John Grill, DDS; he has a lifetime of experience. I'm one of those people who likes understanding what's happening to me, and Dr. Erwin has always been kind enough to answer any questions. I just had three inlays put in by him and it was very reassuring when he took the time to show me photos from the initial removal of the decay, in addition to the X-rays of what was going on. When I came in to have the temporary inlays removed and the permanent inlays put in, he cleaned the affected teeth and used Ozone to disinfect them. It's great to find a dentist that uses the latest technologies and has a holistic, well-rounded approach to treatment. I have been with Dr. Erwin for some 5 years or more now. Excellent care, very friendly staff, and best of all, they don't use mercury, or toxins or any other problem treatments often used by others. They consult with the needs of each individual, and will recommend a procedure, but will follow through with your preference if that is different. In fact, I feel that he went the extra mile to help me on something that came up in-between visits that he could have refused to do but he was extremely helpful! I did not have any trouble getting an appointment and I did not wait long for my appointment time.
