After reading some of the reviews, I was a little bit hesitant about trying this restaurant. But because I like new experiences I went ahead and tried it anyway. Glad I did! Made a Friday night reservation and was seated immediately. Wait staff was professional and courteous but also personable. I give the experience a 4 rather than 5 because while the food was good, it wasn't exceptional; with two exceptions: the lettuce wraps were delicious and the vanilla cream wonton dessert was also very good. After learning all the restaurants at Destiny had a pretty long wait, and PF Chang's could seat us immediately, my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try. The very first thing we both commented on was how beautifully decorated the place was. We were seated at a nice, quiet, and candlelit table. The atmosphere was great. We were then greater by our waiter, Jordan. He was fantastic. He walked us through the menu and gave us some suggestions. After a few minutes of looking things over we decided on the pork steamed dumplings as an appetizer, and I had Pad Thai and my boyfriend had the Buddha's Feast. The dumplings were amazing. Very flavorful and covered in a spicy sauce. My Pad Thai was very good. I requested to have it without egg and the kitchen was very accommodating. I also tried a bit of the Buddha's Feast and it was very well seasoned. After finishing our entrées, we looked over the dessert menu and settled on splitting the Banana Spring Rolls. Our waiter informed us they were made to order, and served with coconut pineapple ice cream. It was the perfect way to finish out our meal. Nice staff, only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I think it's overpriced for the portion sizes and it seems their portions have cut back recently. Decided to come here for dinner with the boyfriend since we are at Destiny anyways. The guy who served us was nice, but it took him a while to get a soda refill. I ordered a chicken Pad Thai and the noodles were undercooked (you could feel the crunchiness when you took a bite of the noodles!). I told the server, and he took it to get me a new one made. Manager came to apologize and the Pad Thai was on the house. The second one that came out was much better and would definitely recommend it to those who like Pad Thai! Waitress was very nice! The food today was not prepared in the right way at all today. Ma fa tofu and shcuzan beef lost their crispy texture. They were soaked in the old oil. Wonton soup was salty and contained the odor of freezer in the wonton. Nothing special. Chef appears to be totally off in preparing food. The food qualify was just like cheap take- out food. Every time I put in a takeout order, they tell me one time and then it takes 20 minutes longer or more. Food is decent, kids can eat it. The one at EASTVIEW does a better job at takeout. If you have a couple of hours to eat fat food, then by all means eat here. We waited 1 hour for our food after ordering. The food itself was ok, nothing so delicious that I will want to head right back but if I was with a group I would be ok with going again. The chicken dishes were a little dry, flavors were good. Recently ate at the Destiny Mall location. It was an ok experience but not great. The service was good. The lettuce wraps were good. The fire cracker chicken was awful ( thank gif we got it free with a coupon !) the chicken was not evenly cooked with some of being kind of raw to our taste. The pad Thai was was very sweet, almost like there was jam mixed in- not spicy and not good/bland. Over all not a great dining experience and we wound not come back for the Thai -Chinese experience. The food is always delicious, the wait staff is friendly. Great menu. However, the hostesses are awful. Last time I went the girl sneezed all over her hands and then picked up the silverware to bring to the table. When I asked them to please give us different silverware she gave me an attitude, put the dirty ones back in the bucket (to be used for someone else), and grabbed another set with her still germ riddled hands. read more

Be careful for anyone using a credit card at this location. Double check your statements and make sure the identity has not been stolen. Also, the food and service are beyond unacceptable. It's not a complicated menu, so I can't understand why they aren't able to recreate the same recipes. This location definitely needs new ownership and a complete overhaul of their operations. I came here on Tuesday night with a friend of mine. It was quiet, with pleasant lighting in the restaurant. It definitely did not feel like I was in a mall. I started off with the pork dumplings. They were pretty good, but by no means the best I'd had. The pepper flakes were an interesting touch, but for me they just distracted from the meat and I scraped them off. The pad thai was a good mix of sweet and savory, the noodles and chicken went well with the vegetables. But easily the best part of the meal was the seasonal cobbler at the end. It was the perfect blend of berries and crust, just doughy enough to be really good. Overall I'd come back, if only for the cobbler. read more

Let me start out by saying I don't eat Chinese food, but my better half does. With that said, his favorite restaurant is PF Chang's, and I knew we would be going as soon as it opened here in Syracuse. We made a reservation and we were five minutes late. This was our fault, so I expected to wait. I was happy to find out that they held our reservation, despite an hour-plus wait. The food was good and as-ordered. They did forget the appetizer, but the entrees came quickly. We asked about the appetizer and the waitress brought it a few minutes later. The manager heard about the experience and came to offer a genuine apology. It honestly didn't bother us because (quite frankly) the food all goes to the same place anyway. They did take the appetizer of the bill, though (without us asking). Overall, I think enjoyed PF Chang's and I will happily take my boyfriend back if he wants to go. read more

Pathetic experience of being here. I visited to PF Chang on 28th June and ordered a Ma Po tofu and vegetarian fried rice. I instructed the server (amy) not to have any egg, fish oil or meat in my food since it is against my religious belief. I revisited this place today on 4th july and tried to order vegetarian fried rice again. To my surprise, this time they said that it's made with oyster sauce. I am so upset with this restaurant. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken for lunch today. I was unpleasantly surprised to find that the chicken appeared to be some weird form of lightly breaded, deep fried blech. I was put off, to say the least. As a table, we did order the Flaming Red Wontons, which were actually pretty good. Service was good, but the restaurant wasn't busy at all, so who knows. Some of the food was good, some of it was bad. the portions were small. A bit overpriced for the amount of food we were served and the overall quality of the meal. The service last night was bad. My wife got her entrée before mine came out and vise versa with our apps. The server was inattentive and seemed to be in a rush, despite her spending a lot of time talking to her friends in front of us. Went here last night and we were told there would be a 10 minute wait. The hostess just stares at us before realizing to take down our name and did not give us a buzzer. We told her we were going to get a drink at the bar while we waited. That was another mess...the bar looked like a tornado just hit and service was so slow. A guy who got there after us got his drink first and it took 20 minutes for the bartender to cash us out. During that time we watched as the hostess sat two other parties who came in after us and she never called our name. We made sure to tell her that was the longest 10 minutes and we saw her seat other people before us. She didn't even apologize! We always give this place a second chance but their service is so incredibly slow and there isn't one manager in site! God awful. Excruciatingly slow service, I can get the same "Chinese" food much cheaper and of exponentially higher quality at any of a handful of local Chinese take out places. Food looked and tasted like frozen, commercially available junk. My daughter's lo mein was sticky and had clearly been prepared hours earlier. My husband has an allergy to peaches and many duck sauces have peaches and before he ordered he told them that and then asked if what he was ordering what made with duck sauce they said NO. Well when I food came out yea it looked like it was made with it we asked and they said OMG don't eat that why didn't you tell us. So we go we did but obviously you didn't listen then she giggled and goes oh yeah I forgot. I spoke up real loudly & said umm lady my husband is highly allergic I would have killed you if something happened to him.. All she could do was giggle.. I'm happy to write a review of P.F. Chang's because it is my favorite restaurant (ever, not just in the mall), and I think it deserves a higher rating than it has. Despite it being my favorite restaurant, it has some flaws, which I will go into later. Whenever I go to P.F. Chang's, I always get fried rice with chicken. I have had this same dish at other Chinese places, but they don't compare to P.F. Chang's. It is amazing. Somehow, they get the flavors just PERFECT, and, picky eater that I am, there is not a single thing I could possibly do to improve this dish (when it is made correctly), which is pretty impressive. I have also tried the Mongolian beef, which is also AMAZING. Also, the fried rice is only $9 AND I can get 2 meals out of it, allowing me to experience the most amazing taste of my life 2 nights in a row. Dessert is very important to me as well. I don't just have one sweet tooth--I have a whole mouth full, and dessert is always the highlight of my meal. Their banana spring rolls are amazing, completely worth the price and every delicious calorie!! I love to have a cocktail with my meal, and every drink I've had there has been very good as well, although perhaps a bit expensive. I rated it 4 stars because it is true, the service is pretty slow. Compared to an equal volume of customers at other mall restaurants such as the Brazilian steakhouse, Cantina Laredo, Melting Pot, etc. it seems like it takes longer to get served at P.F. Chang's. For me, the AMAZING food is well worth the wait, but not for others. Also, I have had eggshells in my food several times. When I found eggshells in my leftovers after I got home there was nothing they could do, but when I found them in the meal while I was at the restaurant, the manager was horrified and, to her credit, promptly served me another free fried rice, while taking the first one of the bill. Her name was Yvonne and she is a very good manager =). Despite these problems, I will continue to go back as often as I can because I love the food so much. read more

I love P.F. Changs! I took my sister who has never been..so naturally I had been raving over the lettuce wraps..saying we would have to get them!! THEY DIDN'T HAVE THEM!! The food was very delicious there I have no doubts on that. However, one of the waitresses was terrible, I mean really terrible. First of all, the restaurant was not busy at that time, like half full. When we finished our meal we couldn't find her to give us the check. It took 10 mins for her to come. Then she bought us the check and left. And we literally waited another 10 minutes for her to pick the up the check, but she never came. We told another waiter that she disappeared. She showed up eventually but never apologized. Later on, we found out she was using her cellphone and chatted in front of the main desk. She saw us, and pretended she did not see us and turned her face down to her phone. I guess she was ashamed or something. She is short, curly hair with the glasses on, looks like 35. My girlfriend still tip her fairly, which I disagreed. Anyways, the food was amazing, but with this kind of service? I don't think so. I expect a better service if I go there again. read more

This place is great. I have visited many times since they opened a few years ago. They used to struggle with the food, I think. In the past six months when I've visited everything has been fantastic. The Happy Hour options are great and the bartenders/managers are always so friendly. The Mongolian Beef is always my favorite. And who could pass up on Banana Spring rolls for dessert? Yum. Went to P.F. Chang's for lunch and was seated quickly. The waiter took the order and promptly disappeared. Did not see him until the end. It was a long wait to get the soup we ordered with our entrees so ended up asking another waiter to get them. They arrived at the same time as the entrees about 20-25 minutes after we were seated. Drinks were not refilled until we asked again. Food was good but service unacceptable. Third time out of five times we have been there with terrible service. Obviously an issue with management and training. Guess we need to go somewhere else. read more

PF Changs has very good food, although I find that they are heavy on the sauces, so I always order mine with extra light sauce. This also helps to reduce the saltiness, as i am especially sensitive when food is overly salty, which Chang's tends to be. Everything is prepared fresh, which I consider a plus, when so many chain restaurants ship in frozen meals these days. On my most recent visit, i sat at the bar and the service by the Bartender, Aaron was exceptional. He was even amenable to a little conversation on a slow evening, which was pleasant as I was dining alone. I also have always had a manager stop by my table to inquire about the food and the service to make sure everything is as expected. Not the kind of customer care you find everywhere. I'd give a 5 star for service and cleanliness, but I always like to leave room for improvement! read more

Just had dinner here and the service was deplorable. The waitress was unbelievably slow, and non responsive to our request to hurry with the check. In addition one meal was forgotten, and the rice had a BUG in it. The manager didnt seem apologetic and his response was "it's just a fruit fly". That is not acceptable for a bug in the food!
