Crispy chicken. Lovely and light.
Chris P.

I haven't been wow'd in a long time but this duck fried rice was WOW. Turn it upside down and it spells MOM. As in, just like how mom use to make it. The duck was super crispy and the fried rice was simply out of this world, coupled with the tasty chilli oil. For a commercial Asian restaurant, it was better than most home cooked dishes. The service has always been great. I suggest you give it a try.

I looove going to this P.F. Chang's location. It's always clean with a sophisticated but yet suprisingly quiet atmosphere. I'm a fully satisfied repeat customer. If you must know, I have a thang for P.F. Chang's ;-) The staff (like Anneli and others who I can't remember their names) are absolute jewels! They're able to answer my questions with a smile and patient with me when I take my time to decide what to eat. The menu is sooo expansive which is a posssitive thang. My selected drink and food are always deeelicious! Overall, it's been a consistently greaaat Chinese restaurant to go to for lunch and/or dinner especially around the Lunar New Year. I'm never disappointed. Chang's a THANG Yelp Community!!!

Caroline took great care of us at the bar! We love the bar area! Forgot to take a pic of the pretty Lemon drop martini. It was delish and refreshing! Moved on to a Jade Margarita with strawberry. Loved that! I had the Chicken Pad Thai and my significant other had Sesame Chicken. Both were great! I often find Pad Thai to be fishy and this had no hint of fish at all. The Sesame Chicken had crisp vegetables and great flavor. Then we topped it all off with the chocolate molten cake with ice cream. Oh my, it was an A+! Literally fire! It's my birthday month and if you are part of the PF Changs Rewards Club, it's free!

Ordered in app for pick up. Food was ready and waiting for me, hostess and server that helped me were both very nice and I was greeted upon entering and exiting. The food itself wasn't as good as usual. The chicken wasn't finally chopped as it normally is, was pretty dry and the amount definitely seemed smaller. There was just one small container of sauce, there used to be multiple. Hoping it's better next time.

Tonight, we had the Broiled Salmon dinner, Kung Pao Dragon Roll and Lettuce Wraps. Washed it all down with a 9 ounce glass of Chloe Pinot Grigio. Salmon was okay, slightly over cooked. Broccoli, spinach and mushrooms were delicious. The sushi roll was unevenly cut and was alright. Lettuce wraps is PF Chang's signature warm up dish and was as good as ever. The Chloe brand Pinot Grigio was so so. But, our server, Jacob was awesome!

Anneli is Amazing! She is our Fav waitress here at P.F. Chang's Fashion Valley. We come in for a pot of tea, orange chicken and chicken lettuce wraps with brown rice. What a great experience. The ambience here is red and romantic for Valentine's Day

Dinner was great! It was a Friday night so definitely busy but the staff were polite and managed the crowd well. We ordered and were able to customize our choices and got the food quick. It was clean and maintained inside and bonus if it's your birthday they blow bubbles and come out with a sparkler!

Came on a Thursday evening and plenty of open seating I sat at the bar Ordered the lychee martini and it did not disappoint. Was sweet, but not too sweet, ice cold, & delicious Ordered 1/2 orders of lettuce wraps, wontons, & bbq ribs Lettuce wraps were standard. The wontons tasted very heavily of bell pepper, which I was not expecting. The ribs had a nice glaze on them, but one of them the fat was not rendered off, so it was a big bites of glazed fat The staff was super nice. Not very talkative. The restaurant is a little dim for us older people that need extra light to see, but the bar had little lights that shine right on the menu. Lot parking with plenty of parking There's also an outdoor area, but it was not open.

We had spring rolls for appetizers, they were yummy. For entree, we had PF chang special chicken with fried rice and Singapore noodles with shrimp. Singapore noodles were something different I had for the first time, must try. Service was pretty smooth and our host was very friendly. Overall restaurant vibes was cozy and comfortable.

Food is so yummy. My favorite for Asan food. So fresh and delicious. Service here is excellent and quick. Ambience is quite quiet even though the restaurant was packed. I like the Birthday surprise they had for me..

Rob is the superstar look at this perfect lemon drop

Rob is the superstar of this location I came in for lunch and he made me the most perfect lemon drop!! He is an amazing bartender who pays attention to detail and makes sure you are taken care of!

I recently dined at P.F. Chang's in the Fashion Valley Mall with my family in San Diego. Overall, we had a good experience, though there are areas for improvement. The food was tasty, but I noticed some dishes were a bit overly salted. One big drawback for me is that they don't offer free refills on lemonade, especially when places like Cheesecake Factory do, and I don't think an extra glass would hurt their bottom line. With prices steadily climbing and portion sizes not matching up, the no-refill policy feels even more noticeable as I am definitely a beverage person. Dessert, on the other hand, was delicious and sharing it at the table was a highlight with no complaints there. Service is where things became hit-or-miss; while some staff are very good, our waitress assumed we wanted dinner pricing when we were there for the lunch special. When we clarified, her response was unprofessional and carried unnecessary attitude. A simple "I'am sorry for the misunderstanding, let me fix it right away" would have gone a long way. Once the order was corrected, the meal itself was enjoyable, but consistency in both food and service is what earns 5 stars, so I rated my experience a solid 4 stars, good, but not excellent.

So good!!!! Loved the service, the host being over the top, to our sever who brought all the goodness. The the food... oh my!!! Left full, and feeling so satisfied and wanting to comeback as soon as I can. The over all of the Asian influence and the cherry blossoms all over. I am in love of the decor!! You must go!!

Any gluten free?

yes

What outside seating do they have?

Does the kung pao chicken come with a side of white rice?

Yes !

Do they have a vegan menu? If not, what can be veganized?

They have veggie lettuce wraps. Which should be vegan. They are always super helpful on pointing out can be modified. The edamame; fried green beans all vegan. Though I didn't ask what kind of oil, I suspect it is a plant oil.

Don't think the meat needed the egg yolk ponzu sauce and the kimchi wasn't fermented at all. The cucumber was also not that marinated. The pickled soy radish was pretty spot on though. Also the crispy pig ear and fried rice were new for me. I wish the crispy pig ear was a little more crispy cause some pieces were a little tough to chew and not very brittle. Flavor was great though and I loved the chive and bean sprouts in it. Fried rice was delicious. Couldn't pin point the flavor but maybe it was the corned beef. Crispy Taiwanese chicken was good as usual but for some reason the basil aoili stood out even more today. It was very fragrant and the basil notes were really coming through. Our reservation was at 9:30p which was kind of late but the music they were playing was BUMPING. Great playlist and we also noticed this the last time we came.

The crying tiger was a good entree, sticky rice was the perfect consistent, and the dipping sauce was a perfect amount of lime to cut through the flavors. The Thai basil with shrimp was also good, but everything really does pale in comparison to the mango chicken. Really nice and calm atmosphere; the servers were impeccable, checked in just the right amount and was very attentive to our drink refills. They only had a table for 5 but we ended up having 6 people in our party. They were so kind to be able to accommodate the additional person! They had personalized menus that greeted my party and it wished my friends a happy birthday!! They actually got to take the menus home! This was really a nice touch, I appreciated the details. We family-styled everything which is honestly the way to go so everybody can try a little of everything! It was majority of our party's first time dining there. We started off with some drinks, I got the Non-alcoholic Guava Mocktail and I got to try what was the equivalent to an espresso martini too. Definitely liked the guava drink better because it tasted like guava nectar juice (kind of like Kerns or Jumex). The Expresso Martini had fresh mint in it and it tasted earthy which wasn't my cup of tea. For food we started off with the Heirloom Tomato Salad which was DELICIOUS!! I don't know what they put in the Vietnamese Green Goddess (probably fish sauce since all the dishes basically had this) but it was magnificent and one of my favorite dishes of the night. Then the Scallops and the Black Cod came out. The Scallops came in a set of 3 and we cut them in half so we could all have a taste. The sauce on this was DIVINE!!! It was citrusy but still really flavorful bursting with umami. I'm literally starting to drool reminiscing about it xD We wanted to keep it to use on other dishes because it was so good. The Black Cod was also delicious. It had fried skin attached and a sesame soy glaze. Next up came the Beef Tartare and the Wagyu Steak. The Beef Tartare was probably the least flavorful out of everything we ordered, but it was still well seasoned. My friend said it was really spicy but it might have just been her bite because I didn't think it was spicy at all. I like that the give you the option of leafy greens or shrimp chips to eat it with. The Wagyu though, was an all-star dish. It was the crowd favorite for sure, we all enjoyed not only the steak but the picked baby eggplants that come with it, and the sauce was phenomenal!! Lastly came the Dry Aged Duck which is what they're known for. It was definitely the biggest fish out of all. You were able to eat the duck with two different sauces, one they called a "Fish Sauce Chimichurri" and "Vietnamese XO sauce" which is more so satay. My friends liked the XO sauce but I liked the Chimichurri better. They had actually forgotten about the side of Buttered Rice but I was told it was incredibly flavorful on its own so we still asked for it. It had more than just butter in it, there was dried shrimp and sesame seeds, and it was made with coconut milk or something because it had a sweet but savory taste to it. I saved some of my duck and Wagyu to eat with it which was actually pretty good. Overall I liked that they brought out the dishes from lightest to heaviest and especially after they brought out out 2 sides of Buttered Rice we were all satisfied and full. It was the perfect amount of food. Honestly EVERY dish was different but amazingly dank and I think it's the fish sauce in everything. They were also sweet and kept the cake we brought in the fridge, placed the candles on it for us, and even after we sang they cut the cake for us!! 10/10 would recommend coming here for not only the food but the impeccable service!! Since we had a larger party there's an automatic 20% gratuity already added to the bill, which came out to be $555! (Look at that angel number!)

Looking at pictures from other nights, most of our food was half the size or missing some major component. Overall, everything is extremely overpriced and lacks flavor. The food was so bland across the board and it felt like we were being skimped out not on just the size but the flavor too. We eat a lot of Asian food and the taste wasn't even close to matching our expectations. All the workers were very friendly, but the food came out very slow. They also gave us a printed out menu for our anniversary with our last name on it which was spelled wrong. I don't care about that, just thought it was very funny. The restaurant was smaller than we expected, but we did enjoy the colors, the layout and the overall ambiance. Wouldn't go back!

I must say, I never would have stumbled upon this restaurant by myself, but it was highly recommended by my friends who live nearby. My daughter and I were visiting San Diego for a one-week trip because I was required to come here for work. My workdays were pretty packed, but my daughter and I also took advantage of this trip by filling our evenings with lots of fun activities. One thing we did was visit some wonderful friends who live in San Diego. My friend, John, told us that he found an amazing restaurant in San Diego a few decades ago, and he was really sad to find that it had closed down. Several years later, and more recently, he was surprised to find that this same restaurant owner reopened his restaurant in a new location, which is here on Adams Avenue in the Normal Heights neighborhood of San Diego. He was overjoyed to find that this restaurant had reopened in a different location, and he says that this is his favorite restaurant in San Diego. After a story like that, I had to come here to experience this place for myself! We parked on Adams Avenue, and I paid the meter for a reasonable amount of time for us to enjoy our dinner together. I would imagine that parking here can be a bit congested and tricky at times, so I would just suggest that you're patient and careful with where you decide to legally park. We had a party of five for our dinner together, and it was an absolutely wonderful evening with good friends and delicious food. Our waitress was Jun, and she was friendly and professional, as well as attentive to our dinnertime needs. The owner also came out to say hello to us, and he took the time to chat with us for a few minutes during our meal. He was so incredibly nice. I always appreciate it when an owner is willing to devote some time to connect with their customers. For an appetizer, I ordered the "Japanese Pork Gyoza," which are pan fried dumplings filled with pork, fresh ginger, onion, green onion, cabbage, garlic, and soy. It was absolutely delicious, and I had to resist the temptation of eating too many of them so that our friends could enjoy some too. For my meal, I ordered the "Katsu Chicken Curry," which is chicken thigh meat battered in Panko breadcrumbs, deep fried until golden brown and crunchy. I got my meal with a half-and-half mix of white rice and brown rice. My meal was prepared perfectly, and it was incredibly delicious! My meal was concluded with some of their delicious ice cream, which satiated my post-meal sugar cravings. Our evening with friends was special and memorable, and our meals and service at Dao Fu made our evening even more pleasant and enjoyable. Thanks to the owner, our waitress, and the staff for making our evening a wonderful one. The next time I'm back in this area, I'll be sure to come here again!
