I have been to this location before and it was wonderful. But what a difference a year makes. On this visit we had to wait over 20 min for a table despite there being many free (apparently they didn't have sufficient servers to cover the restaurant - on a weekend during peak Xmas shopping period). After finally being seated we were served by the worst waitress I have experienced in a long time. She knew nothing about the menu, couldn't answer questions about the seasonal items, got our order wrong, and was generally just unprofessional. The food was OK but not for the price. Went here with my parents on Friday and had a great time! Our waiter, whose name I cannot remember unfortunately, was awesome. He was funny, informative, and attentive when he needed to be. We were never wondering where he was, even though it was Valentine's day and the restaurant was busy. My mom and I shared the Valentine's special and both had the Korean Bulgogi steak dinner. It was delicious!! Highly recommend it and hope Chang's keeps it on their menu. If you haven't had their coconut mojito, try it! So good. The only dissapointment was the appetizer. The server was fine, but I felt like no one gave my order to the kitchen. I waited for almost an hour and they said "five minutes" then I waited another 45 minutes for a very small portion. The food was okay but overall I wasn't full, I was ignored, and the experience was really negative. To be ignored for so long I nearly walked out. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

Second visit to Galleria location. More staff needed; short wait. Waitress friendly, as was hostess. Pomegranate lemonade- sweet and tart; quite tasty. Hot and sour soup - hot, sour, darkly colored and delicious. This is a keeper - as a big hot/sour fan - I'm impressed. I'm left wanting more. Lobster dumplings - this was my FREE birthday appetizer. Very tasty dumplings with plentiful lobster pieces. The sauce was cheese based - which was a little odd for the type of food, but it was none-the-less tasty. Sesame chicken - the chicken was well cooked, but not enough sauce; and was bland tasting. There were not enough bell peppers, onions or green onions either. Been a while since my last visit, and say what you want about chain Chinese food - PF Changs is pretty damn good and does beef and broccoli just the way I like it (tender broccoli and perfect amount of brown sauce to pour over the rice). I normally don't review chains, but the service at this location was too good not to acknowledge. We haven't been to a P.F. Changs in years even though my husband loves their crispy honey chicken and I love their crispy honey shrimp. It may not be authentic, but it is tasty. They have updated their menu a bit. A lot of those old favorites are still there, but they've added "street food" and even sushi. None of the sushi offerings appealed to me so I had dynamite shrimp and calamari. I wish I only got the calamari. There was nothing wrong with the dynamite shrimp, but there's something extra special about the sriracha honey sauce they serve with the calamari. Both dishes are very lightly battered. The calamari also has bell peppers and spinach. My husband devoured the bell peppers, and we both found the spinach surprisingly enjoyable. It was a little salty (just the right amount) and crunchy, too. People compare P.F. Changs unfavorably to takeout, but if you're like me, and think most takeout is too greasy and has too much batter, you'll appreciate their lighter touch. They have a special holiday drink with some sort of creamy cherry and almond liquors. I had my own for dessert after trying my husband's. They were out of one of the liquors, so the manager substituted Disaronno and hoped it would be okay. Uh, yeah! Service was great, and the manager seemed very dedicated to making sure customers were happy. A little pricey, especially the sushi rolls. Come here for their apps and entrees, but get your sushi fix at Sakura Sushi nearby on Union Rd. Plum wine was on the cheaper side at $5 a glass, though. Front of house staff could use some improvement, however. The girl who seated us pretty much just stared at us when we walked in. She wasn't very personable or welcoming. Off day, maybe? Before this last weekend I've never been to a P.F. Chang's location. I'm not sure why I never came here, maybe it was the lackluster things I heard from people or maybe it was just that I never wanted Chinese food when I was near one, who really knows. I came to this location over the weekend and was pretty stoked with how the place itself looked. This place is absolutely massive and offers a ton of large booth seating. Our waitress was super duper friendly and helpful during our visit and she did a fantastic job. The rest of the experience? Well, that left much to be desired. The moment we sat down I couldn't help but be worried out by not 1, but 2 of the plates on the table were dirty, very noticeably dirty. Our waitress was super quick to change them out but I can't imagine whoever put them there not noticing 2 large crust stains that could probably be seen from the other side of the building. Let's move on and discuss the food. The menu here is pretty large and covers a pretty large selection of Chinese food and even has some sushi on the menu. I decided to order some pork dumplings as an appetizer and was pretty surprised with just how bland they tasted (not bad, just like every other Chinese food place you find in a street corner). For lunch we ended up ordering and splitting the Chang's spicy chicken and the crispy honey chicken with white rice on the side. Both chickens were decent, I have no actual complaints for the chicken, BUT! I could not tell the difference between these dishes which had a total bill of over $50, or the Chinese food place down the street where it would total maybe $20. The food itself was just standard, run of the mill, American Chinese food. I don't necessarily regret coming here, but I would absolutely not return in the future since I can get the same quality of food for half the price at 44 different places around Buffalo. Overall, P.F. Chang's is bigger and better looking version of every Chinese food place you will find in Buffalo. The prices are higher, the food isn't better, but I won't knock the staff, they were fantastic throughout the stay. Either way, I'll have to pass on a future visit. read more

Readers of this review should keep in mind that I'm more likely to be harsh on corporations in my review than small businesses. I would have given two stars, but our server was awesome. She was very nice and kind and we really liked her. She was also knowledgeable. With all of that being said... this place is so strange. They have an odd mix or Korean, Chinese, Thai, Japanese... it's so odd. The servers wear a cultural jacket, it reads as very insensitive. My husband had ginger beer and I had a peach boba drink, both good but very sweet. The actual food... here's the thing, I can get food of this quality at the home in the wall family Chinese place for a quarter of the price. The sesame chicken and noodles were not at all special. The honey chicken was nice. For the cost, the portions are not that large. We won't be back, it's just not the exciting with so many other options nearby. read more

P.F.Chang's is one of my favorite restaurants .It serves a variety of Asian dishes and Chinese food favorites including Ramen, noodles and rice, chicken and beef entrees,Vietnamese style soups and bowls. The portions are large for the price. Let's just say this place had potential for sure but it lacked in cleanliness our booth look like it had not been clean from previous guest and once I placed my order for A glass of wine a cup had previous lip stains and water stains on the glass I had to send it back but I must say that the waiter was very sweet and attentive . Wow I was literally blown away by the level of service from this place. I ordered a pretty big catering order for curb side pick up. I arrived to pick up my order and they said they couldn't find it. As I look at my online receipt I realized I placed the order for the wrong PF Changs. And that PF Changs is 6 hours away!!! To my surprise they were EXTREMELY helpful. Megan, I mean wow! She took such great care of me. She canceled the order at the wrong location and helped me place my order. She was so understanding and so helpful. I don't know how I made that huge mistake but Megan's level of care and hospitality meant the world at a very stressful time. So grateful for her, the cooks, and everyone who worked together to make this happen. It's so rare to receive this level of personalized care. read more

Experiencing a bout of amnesia, a senior moment, or plain stupidity... maybe all three, I went to PF Chang's with my daughter while we were shopping at the mall. She enjoys Chinese food, we were hungry, it was Friday and we were tired from a long week and just needed to eat. Plus we preferred staying at the mall for dinner instead of being drenched by the rain outside. I was hoping to find the scallop dish they served couple of years ago. I recall it was quite tasty, well made dish that was a surprise for an American style Chinese chain restaurant. I had been to this restaurant once before when living in California many years ago. Now after paying $50 plus for very average Chinese food I know why I haven't been back to this restaurant in years! And no more scallops on the menu at all. The Asian pear mojito was tasty, refreshing but light on the alcohol. For $9.50 not worth it. The Schezwan beef was supposed to be "carmelized" according to our very nice server. It's almost like beef jerky, really chewy and tough in my opinion. For over $15 it's not a winner. Daughter liked her honey crisp chicken also like $14. Good for a kid, sweet and like eating a chicken tender but Chinese style. We shared a strawberry shortcake type dessert for around $4. Service was friendly and decent. Decor nice. Food average. Next time I'll remember to skip this place and eat at the malls food court. Save my money for shopping! read more

For the size, decor and sheer volume of this place, you'd think the food would be great. It wasnt. Ive had way better, higher quality food at random chinese take out places. I even ordered one of the expensive spicy tuna rolls and was not impressed. The General Tso chicken was a small portion for the price and the tiny bowl of rice that came with it was inadequate (not even a full bowl) as well as under cooked. The dumplings we got as an appetizer were over cooked and dry. The expensive spicy tuna sushi roll was not spicy at all but rather had a smear of spicy sauce on the plate and the rice was undercooked, almost crunchy. Yuck! Not a fan at all and 99% wont be back. Thankfully I had a gift card that had been sitting around for over a year. You will do better to try a local spot for a more authentic and superior quality if you are in the mood for this cuisine. This place is broken, 3 hours for dinner and appetizers. Just to get started, the menu still has items that are discontinued. We ordered but were then told about it. They seemed to be running low on basic supplies. l feel for our poor waitress, It wasn't her fault at all, but somewhere this particular location has either lost its way or had the worst evening of service ever. We waited as patiently as possible as we watched the other parties stare around the restaurant, desperately hoping their food would escape the prison that is the PF Changs Kitchen. Saw many other parties just get up and leave after they ordered 1 1/2 hrs earlier. Our appetizers came out sporadically over the course of our first 80 minutes. After the last of the appetizers came out, we prepared for the long wait for our Dinners. Sometimes other waitresses would set down trays near us only to realize they were at the wrong table. When our food did eventually arrive, it was decent but the Wagyu steak was a joke, surprisingly the most expensive thing on the menu. We had quite the experience during our PF Changs marathon length experience. We laughed, we cried, some took naps, and others left to go shopping. Most Food was passable but for the $$$$ it cost, I'd rather just order out from a nearby plaza Chinese restaurant. Usually when I order Chinese food, I hate myself for eating it afterwards, but atleast it's cheap. Right now I hate myself because of what I ate, and how much I paid for it while being held prisoner for 3 hrs in PF Changs... all while watching others abandon hope and flee.... Oh boy so we walked in cause I heard it's a very good place to eat. The server was very friendly and she told us it's all made from scratch and everything is very fresh and delicious. So we ordered appetizers some chicken wraps and a hot and sour soup... chicken wraps was fine so was the soup. We ordered also fried rice and beef a la Sichuan and surf and turf dish but just with surf no turf We went in a group of four and the waitress told us that the portions are hugeeee. So the food came I would say it's a portion which can feed two persons. Tasteless Blend Doesn't taste fresh at all. Well it can't be freshly made at all cause food came after 5min. My family and I went here for lunch and it did not disappoint. I had the lo mein and wonton soup which I highly enjoyed and recommend.

Had good service our waiter was nice and attentive I've only been here twice so far both times they were able to recommend decent didhes. Get the spare ribs appetizer. I had the orange chicken as much entree and man it was a lot. They give pretty great portions. Didn't wait too long for seating about 7 minutes or so. Plenty of booths and tables. Good quick bite if your at the mall. Nice alcohol selection. Plenty of seating around the bar. Pricing was meh. I'm not usually a chainy person. It wasn't amazing but wasn't horrible. read more

Always love P.F. Chang's. Me and my wife have been coming here for years for Valentine's day and I can recommend just about everything on the menu. The often recommended chicken lettuce wraps are a solid choice, but the Mongolian beef, and new ramen they just added to the menu are both excellent as well. Having been to Japan, I can say the menu is fairly authentic with the tastes at least, not necessarily portion sizes (much bigger here) if that's what you're looking for, and the servers are always on top of your needs. 10/10 would recommend for a date day or dinner before a movie at the Regal. read more

Chasing the high. That's what coming here is for me. Years ago I had a meal at a PF Changs for the first time, and I've been looking for the same great meal ever since. This was my first time at this location. It's in the Galleria Mall and I went around 2 on a weekend day. Since its a big place I'm not sure how crowded it was, but there were plenty of people and plenty of open seating to choose from. They tried to seat me (inexplicably) near a large party. Since there were plenty of other open tables and booths I requested and got a booth farther away from the large group. Why do restaurants do things like that? Think about the experience you want the customer to have. It's the lettuce wrap I fell in love with the first time. And each time I've tried a PF Changs since (perhaps 4), that's what I order. And it's never quite as good as I remember. This location has a main entrance from an outside door that faces the covered parking lot. There is an entrance from the mall, you walk through to the main entrance to get seated. My server was very pleasant and I overtipped him as a result. 3 stars for this chain. Worst meal in the past year, 365 days. Everything was bad. The manager came by, and started to walk away even after I explained that it was very bad. He was very young to be a manager, but still. Anywho, I was shocked by the familiar humid feel and sweaty smell of a public indoor swimming pool when I arrived through the front door. I was greeted by the hostess who for some reason said "do you have a name?".... Yea.. .. I do have a name... this is beside the point. She lead us to our seat where I ordered a sushi roll. Now the sushi chef must have previously worked at manure factory because I was fed what resembled duty. The rice was one big roll of paste with what looked like a finger hole poked through and some unknown type of seafood jammed inside. Of course I ate it though because I have no will power and it also tasted gross. I've been to this restaurant a hand full of times and unfortunately I have always had the same waitress named Tara, she is always rude and has some disrespectful attitude every time I arrive at the restaurant. My recommendation for this branch of P.F Changs is to remove her immediately and put her on dishwashing duty because she's ruining the morale of the this nice restaurant. Thanks for reading. read more
